I am unable to view or delete Gmail since I updated to Firefox 3.6.10.

While using Firefox 3.6.10, I can go to the Gmail web site, but I am unable to view any emails when I click on them. I also cannot delete emails when I check the boxes and then click on the 'Delete' button. It worked just fine in Firefox before I updated to 3.6.10 from 3.6.8. I now have to use another browser to do Gmail which is my primary email.

I have the identical problem, and I intermittently (occasionally, rarely) get the infamous "this conversation could not be loaded..." message. There are a couple differences in my problem that may shed light on the solution:
1) I'm using Firefox v. 3.6.8 (the one you were using before 3.6.10)
2) My problem started immediately after Windows Vista updated with various patches & whatever was recommended. So maybe the conflict is Windows-caused (surprise!)
My (hopefully) temporary work-around is to use IE. Sigh.

I have a problem using Safari on my iMac 20" Intel.
Since two weeks i'm unable to view and download attachment in my Gmail account using Safari.
Every time i have an attachment i must use Firefox.
It work fine on my iBook 12" G4.

I've had the same problem. Gmail "upgraded" their system a couple of weeks ago and since then I am unable to view or download attachments from Gmail with Safari. I'm also unable to access any of the options for an email (such as forward, reply all, etc.) except for reply because the new drop-down list to access those features doesn't work. Thanks Gmail. My work-around is to use Firefox or Camino.

Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

Junk folder shows 1 message but unable to view or delete it.

I'm using Apple Mail, OS 10.4.3. My Junk Mail folder shows one message, but when I click on the folder, it reports zero messages and nothing is visable. When I erase the messages in my Junk Mail folder, the folder still indicates one message.
I tried resetting my preferences, but the problem persists.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hello Michael.
If for a POP type account, using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > this account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account).
Within a POP type account named folder should be mailbox folders with an .mbox extension.
Confirm there is a Junk.mbox named folder and not a Junk named folder.
If shown as a Junk named folder, quit Mail first and change the name of the Junk folder to Junk.mbox or add the .mbox extension.
Launch Mail and this should resolve the problem.

Unable to view my full wish list after update

I can not figure out how to view my full wish list now after the update. I will scroll all the way over to the right of this wish list, and it just stops, and there is no "View all" link like there used to be. So even after scrolling over as far as I can, it only shows maybe half of my wish list...anyone else having this issue?

Unable to view anything in landscape mode after update to 4.1.

I recently noticed photos, safari, google, etc. will not switch to landscape mode after updating to iphone OS 4.1. Tried total reset of iPhone but problem still exists. Should I do a reset/restore?

Since I updated my Firefox browser to version 29.0.1, my gmail stopped working.

The issue seems to be with the certificate provider's authenticity. The message that I get is: "This Connection is Untrusted".
On expanding the 'Technical Details' tab, it says: "mail.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted. (Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)".
In the previous version of Firefox, though the security warning was displayed, there was another drop-down called 'I understand the risks' and there used to be an 'Add Exception' button through which I could confirm the exception and continue to gmail but that drop-down is no longer available.
I tried the following options and none of them worked:
1. Started Firefox in Safe Mode and tried accessing gmail. Same error is shown.
2. Deleted the existing Google cookies and also cleared my network cache and history, restarted Firefox, but still same error.
3. Closed Firefox, deleted cert8.db file, restarted firefox, tried opening gmail, again same error.
4. Reset Firefox, still same error.

Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section.<br>If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.

Playback in viewer and canvass broken since QT update

I have a Macbook (OS10.5.8) 4 GB RAM, running FCP 7.0.3 that I use to capture video when I'm on a dive trip. I am working with HDV 1080 captured from a Sony DC9 camera. Everything worked fine until I updated QT to 7.6.9. Now playback in the canvass and viewer is messed up. It looks grainy amd and almost like some channels(?) are missing. I tried trashing preferences but that didn't help. When I log and capture, the capture window plays normally. If I put the clips in iMovie, they play normally. If I put the clips in the QT player itself, they play normally. View in FCP is sent to RGB. When will I learn not to update things when everything is working OK. I can't believe my stupidity!

First, download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (http://www.digitalrebellion.com/) and delete your fcp preferences. May help. If that doesn't work, you could try converting your material to prores using compressor. Do a short test first to see if it solves the problem. It will take a while and use up a fair amount of drive space, but prores is a much better format to work with.
Then, once you have a stable, working OS and Application combo, make a bootable clone of your startup drive using something like carboncopycloner. Once you've done this, you can update OS and Apps with impunity. If things go south, you can simply clone back to your startup drive and be back at work in an hour or two. I've got a clone on a second internal drive so I can simply change my startup disk and be back at work in a couple of minutes.

Text delete options since software update

I've recently updated the software to 10.3.1.1565 and a new option appeared for text messaging. when i closed a message and went back to the list of text messages the delete symbol appeared next to the text for a few seconds. This was useful. Now, I have somehow (without knowing i've done it) changed the settings and instead of the delete symbol i'm getting the Reply symbol. How do i change it back to the delete symbol?

After upgrading your stock ROM you always need to do a factory data reset, if your phone doesn't do it for you. Then you can simply choose which sounds you want for the notification in the settings. One of the contacts originally had an iPhone but changed device before I updated, I was able to send and they were able to receive text messages prior to the change, the problem has arisen since update? Wow this definitely sounds like strange behavior and something we need to investigate further. I want to find out, on your iPhone 5, do you have any signatures set? When you send text messages, do you include any emoticans or special characters? These aren't compatible with all type of devices and networks so we want to eliminate any causes of the trouble. If you do have anything like this set please remove the items and test the texting communication again. We look forward to hearing back to get this resolved.

There are size restrictions in what you can send ... not sure why it worked before and not now for the same size though. What is the actual size of the file you're trying to send??? You can upload to YOUTUBE and share from there - and YOUTUBE accepts larger files.
