I am uploading an Excel Workbook (xlsx format) to convert to a pdf and it has taken over an hour and it is still not uploading. I have even tried to restart it and that did not work.

I'm trying to upload an Excel Workbook (in xlsx format) to have it converted to a PDF file and that little circle has been spinning forever. I tried to restart the process but it did the same thing. So I tried to open up each individual worksheet of the workbook and save them individually. I "think" I got that to work, but when I go to the combine tab, I see the four pages that I have selected with spinning "thinking" circles on all of them. Please help. I have a client waiting for this proposal and I don't know what to do!

Are you on a slow Network Connection? I would recommend you to Clear the browser Cache and History and then try again or try using a different browser on a different Network Connection.

I finally just resolved this after not being able to enable location services since upagrading to iOS 7. Posting the solution here 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I enabled Restrictions under Settings > General > Restrictions and created a passcode (I'm not sure if this was part of the solution, but it wasn't enabled for me by default.)
In Restrictions, under Privacy, Location Services was set to "Allow Changes" (This still didn't solve the issue of the greyed-out Location Services switch though - I still couldn't turn it on.)
Also in Restrictions, I also switched "Find My Friends" to "Allow Changes"
Once I did step 3, the switch under Settings > Privacy > Location Services was no longer greyed out and could be switched on.

Firefox freezes when I open it after less than a minute of searching. It freezes regardless of the website I'm on. I've tried reinstalling it several times and have even tried a clean reinstall but it didn't work.

When I open it, Firefox freezes after less than a minute of use. After waiting a few minutes, it unfreezes but then freezes again a few seconds later. This happens regardless of the website I'm on. Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Can I reset my search engine to Wikipedia? I don't want any of those default Search Engines anymore they are too intrusive. And I can not Empty Cache any more and Google has taken over the address bar?

Can someone please explain how this now works? And am I obligated to load Mountain Lion. It's a very expensive price to pay for online privacy that isn't even Private anymore. I am old enough that I don't have to pay ransome. I can just quit.
I didn't say and was never asked If I wanted Mountain Lion. I can no longer 'Empty Cache' at the end of a session online and when I do a search now (and this has all changed overnight) the query is typed into what used to be the address bar and when the search results appear, after reading the first result and I want to read the second or fifth or Any of the other results of the query I am forced to resubmit the search in the address bar because the 'Page Back' button has been removed and the Little Red Dot closes the Search Results Page altogether.
What else am I in for with Mountain Lion? I already know that I do NOT want anything to do with iCloud. I am willing to bet a lot of money that a pharmaceutical company one day is going to be holding me for ransome with a new drug that was created out of the symptoms of a once - upon - a - time naturally occuring symptom of aging. At least I can turn my Macbook off and leave it that way and the world will not cease to exist. (Or will it?)

Computer operation 101.
Get a bootable, external HD (preferably FireWire, since it's 40-50% faster than USB 2 and designed for data transfers), make a bootable backup/clone before updating/upgrading, using something like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!, and ensure that it's bootable and works like the original. That allows you to revert to the previous good state without having to reinstall or reset anything. See these for details:

I have been lied to and Verizon has wasted over 18 hours of my time hanging up on me and placing me on hold with no solution

On the morning of a charity event that I was running for 350 inner school children my phone asked if I wanted to do an update. I clicked yes and life as I know it has changed. The whole charity event was messed up because I had everyone’s assignment in the phone and the lollipop update made it hard to navigate. One of many things that is wrong is everything I do, I get a pop up asking me if I want to use One Touch Wizard. No matter how many times I click always use one touch, I have to go through 2 extra steps for every move I want to make on the phone. I called Verizon and they stated that they are sending everyone new phones because this update was so bad. However, they cannot send me one because on day 3 after I bought the phone I dropped it and it has a tiny crack in the screen. This crack has never effected the phone and my problems are simply because of this update. In approximately 18 hours of tech support, I have been but on hold for 15 to 45 minutes at a time with no one coming back until I ultimately just gave up and hung up. Often I was promised a call back and it never happened once. Again, I had to call back and start all over. I would call back and have to start the support process all over again. Because of all of my time and the data I had to use for updates and such a Verizon rep gave me 1 gig of data per month for 12 months. I called another time and they said the rep was not authorized to do this because I was on a loyalty plan. So this means that when a Verizon rep tells a customer something you cannot believe it because they can take it back. The only reason I am on this plan is because I paid for several months while I had a non working phone. Verizon sent me 18 straight defective phones. They were deemed defective by the manufacturer. Verizon has no respect for all the time I wasted and I almost lost my job because of it. I now have a phone that is effecting my job and my life and Verizon wants me to pay for a new one. I feel that I am being strong armed and this is a principle thing for me. I decided to post here before I file reports with the BBB, Attorney General and the FCC. I look forward to Verizon’s reply. Im wondering why my post hasn't been answered yet. I did file a report with the BBB and I had a rude representative from Verizon call me named Steve. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him. I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack. I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems) but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update. I dont think it is fair to have to pay that as well. In addition, because I have an east coast phone number but live on the west coast, I cannot have tech support after 8pm. Verizon has cut this off. Im very dissatisfied and I have been a customer of Verizon for 13 years. Im hoping for a response this time.

I have just downloaded Firefox 4 and was trying to install it. I need to get to my old browser but I cannot get away from Firefox. How the devil do you close it? It covers the entire screen and I cannot even get to dock to change anything. Did you install a persona?
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

My iPod touch slider will not slide enough to open. Per Apple Store I restored the iPod, but the slider still does not work properly & will not open iPod.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

I have pictures on my iphone 4 that are in my photo stream, that have not downloaded to my photo stream in the cloud. How can I get them to download?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device, it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.
