I am using Airport Extreme as my wireless router on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to use an HP wireless printer without connecting to the USB port. The printer says it is connected to the network but I can't print. Any suggestions?

Have you tried using a static IP configuration on your iPad instead of DHCP?
Settings->General->Network->wifi-> (arrow beside the current active wifi connection)? If you see an IP address like 169.x.x.x you are having a problem with getting a DHCP lease.
First make sure that MAC address filters are not enabled on your router. If they are, disable them and see if DHCP then works. It should give you a 192.168.x.x IP address. You may need to reboot the iPad or the connection to trigger DHCP.
If it doesn't work, and you still see a 169.x.x.x IP address, select "Static" instead of "DHCP"
- set IP to for example 192.168.0.155 (last part can be 0-255 but choose somewhere in the middle to avoid collision with DHCP assigned addresses)
- subnet 255.255.255.0
- router 192.168.0.1
- dns 192.168.0.1
Depending on your router you may need to use 192.168.1 instead of 192.168.0 in the above addresses, but try 0 first

Cant see the image but I can hear it, any suggestions?

I have just uploaded the new version of QT and try to play a 1280x720 Mov in it but the image is not there while I can hear the sounds.
I tryed playing a 4:3 dv mov and it was fine, any help would be great.

I have same problem as Alex, I also have latest version of QT with no pictures but can hear sound.
The video guy that transfered the DV tapes for me can play the HD clips from the tape in QT and iMovie (both older versions than mine).
Kenedy, I have the Movie Inspector up, now how do I search for the codec?
Being a still photographer this language is pretty foreign to me. Any help appreciated.

I had rebooted the router (several times, actually), to no avail.
I do not know the answer to whether MAC filtering is enabled on the router. Have tried to find info about that, but unsuccessfully. Router is an Arris TG852G, supplied by Comcast. I would be surprised if MAC filtering were the issue, since in addition to the computer, we have successfully connected several other devices to the wifi, namely an iPad, a Android phone and a Kindle Fire - all able to access internet pages through the wifi, and all without a need to add the device to a MAC address whitelist. To add to the mystery, the Comcast tech was able to connect his iPhone 4 to my network and access web pages. He was unable to connect my iPhone, however, after trying for some time.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that an iPhone cannot connect to a wireless "n" router, only "b" or "g". The Arris router is described as a n/g/b compliant router, and as noted the Comcast tech was able to connect his iPhone, so don't know why that would be the issue here.
By the way, my iPhone does connect wirelessly to my network at home. This difficulty is at a second home.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Siri has been a bit more erratic than usual in the last week or so. Apple has announced a major announcement for 9/12. Conclusions are left to the reader.

That's not the way wifi works.
You may see the other networks but you are not connected to them in any way.

If you want to hear your music on iPhone without interruption, switch Settings > Airplane Mode: ON.

I'm connected to the network, but still can't get online!

I use airport to connect to the internet in my home. I have a very strong signal and my computer says I'm connected to the network, but I still can't connect to the internet. It just stopped working. Running diagnostics doesn't help- it just tells me to restart the device, which I've done over and over to no avail.

Am a newbie but somethings may work here, Go to dock preferences and to network and to your airport connection window.
You have a green light signal in network status window? If it is yellow or red it is unavailable. If your connection is full of traffic, this may effect connection.
In window you may need to type in optional search domains. Your provider should tell you this no one else~ They would also walk you through your connection failures. If it is yellow and you connect to your provider's router and don't have your own router, this number may not appear in your connection information. You need to tell them their router is down so they can fix it. They may not find out if pings come back. Pings may also be cached (I am not sure but it might) so it may take them a while to find out if you don't tell them. I would call your provider. Maybe empty your preferences in your browser. You may have cookies or garbage to empty there. Use another browser.

Yes, this is possible ... but understand that you would need two switch wireless networks between network/Internet access and for printing.
The AirPort would not get a Public IP address, but it would have a Private IP address of 10.0.1.1 ... and it would be providing wireless clients connected to it with Private IP addresses in the 10.0.1.2 - 10.0.1.200 range.
AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort > Manual Setup > AirPort > Wireless
Wireless Mode: Create a wireless network
Wireless Network Name: <enter a desired Network Name or SSID>
Radio Mode: <leave the default or select a desired radio mode>
Channel: Automatic

The AirPort will still report at least three errors: 1) Configuration of WAN, 2) SNMP over WAN, and 3) Double NAT. These can all be safely ignored to stop the AirPort's status light from flashing amber in this configuration.
