I am using firefox 11.0 in windows 7(64 bit) but firefox for windows xp is loading on my computer.

Firefox 11.0 was working on this computer (windows 7 64 bit) but went into window xp mode.

Try to delete printer in Control Panel and re-add:
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing.
2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
3. Click the Add a printer
4. Select Local printer
5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's host name (found on the printer's network configuration report the generated above). Click Next.
If you get a message about Additional Port Information Required, then the printer was not found using the host name. You can go back and retry or using the printer's IP address instead of the host name.
7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
10. You may be asked to share the printer. Make a choice and click Next.
11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
12. Click Finish.

I'm using Windows XP. I've used Firefox for years but in recent weeks I've had the following problem. When I endeavour to open an internet site the tab appears in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen instead of loading the page. When I click on the tab it appears to fly across the right of screen and disappears from view. Fortunately we've left an internet page OPEN so that we can redirect our search via that. Today we had a power cut and now I cannot get Firefox to load anything. At the moment I'm using Explorer to write this. One last point. When I try to load any site in Links the tab changes to the correct name but then flies off as I've previously mentioned. Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It's been two years since Windows 7 64 bit computers came out. At what point is Firefox thinking of providing a browser that is compatible with this. I haven't used Firefox for 2 years as a results. And what exactly is Waterfox?

If you do a search on the web, you will discover that I am far from the only one who finds that she cannot use Firefox because it is incompatible with Windows 7 64 bit. I'm pretty sure there must be hundreds of thousands of users out there that can not use Firefox for the same reason. At what point are you thinking of updating your browser?
Also are you connected to Waterfox and is it safe?

In device manager tick Show hidden devices, under view on the toolbar.
If DM cannot see it you cannot install a driver, not sure why that hardware will not get detected.

Open Media Encoder and add your Sequences:
File > Add Premiere Pro Sequence
Navigate to your Premiere Project and select it in the list.
You can then select multiple Sequences from the Project (Ctrl+Click)

The only way that file opens thru IE8 for me ''(but not actually in IE8)'' is by using the Zip Utility (then IE closes) that is in WinXP and then opening the two image files in the Windows Fax and Picture Viewer.

I have used Firefox for about 8 years or since it first was developed and I love it!!!! I especially love the Bookmarks Toolbar and have used it all these years with no problems. Yesterday I somehow lost the Bookmarks Toolbar. It is still listed under View in the Menu. When I check beside it the area enlarges a small bit and when I uncheck it the area decreases a little. All my Bookmarks are still there, just not the toolbar. I have tried everything I know to try. I have uninstalled and downloaded Firefox again and reinstalled it. I have restarted my computer several times. I have tried dragging new bookmarks to the toolbar area from the website address. Nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this and have a solution? I HATE it without this toolbar. Thanks in advance!!!!

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
*Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar

BSOD after using firefox for a minute.

Not sure what happened exactly but here's the details.
Basically I run using my on board Gigabit lan when at home on my desktop, however my girlfriends router is not on same level as her computer so wireless is necessary. I purchased a D-Link 160 dual band usb adapter to connect at her place. I installed the drivers then plugged in the adapter as instructed. Everything was fine at her house. When I got home I went back to my Gigabit hardware again. My computer ran fine IE10 worked fine but for some reason after using Firefox for about a minute it would crash my computer BSOD. Facebook, Google, trying to research issue so basically any website caused the problem. So I thought it could have been the D-Link drivers but I rolled my system back to before the D-Link install and still had the issues. I re installed my Firefox and so far all is well. So perhaps it was an update or perhaps it was drivers interfering. The date it started happening is July 5th. So depending when last update was could have been that.

AMD FX-8320

Thats most parts that could remotely be causing the issue. Let me know if you solve anything if its just me the D-Link or an update would just like to know what went wrong. As I said re installing Firefox worked so perhaps drivers changed settings or something but i think system roll back should have fixed that I am not a pro though so any feedback would be appreciated.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Several sites will not respond any longer when I type or click on them. I have been using Firefox for years and all of a sudden, nothing.

I have been using Firefox for many years now and have been going to several sites on Firefox. Now, after an update around two days ago, I can't do anything with the sites. The cursor stays an arrow, and doesn't click anything. It's like a blank page with print on it.
I've tried almost everything, but to no avail. It's too much to copy and paste below.
Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

I've been using Firefox for years. Now your load screen appears everytime I open. It's a hassle!

Every time I open Firefox to go to the internet I get a page that says thanks for becoming a tester, etc. Then you want me to download Firefox, which I've done 6 times now! Then you make Firefox Search my homepage. Then I change the homepage. Then a screen comes up saying AVG has been successfully installed. Then I use the internet and the next time I re-open Firefox I get the same bull##%% routine!
