Are you sure that you specified the correct gpib address. You can check this in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Under Devices and Interfaces, you should see your gpib card listed. Right click on this and select "Scan for Instruments". Your instrument should be found. If you highlight the instrument and select properties, you should see something like "GPIB::3::INSTR". Type this value into the VISA Resource Name control or just click on the select arrow of the control to see the list of all available resources and select the one
you want.

I purchased a frist gen. iPad from a friend. I find that it's using 5.1.1. and says that it's "updated" when I check. Problem came when I tried to download my Netflix onto the ipad. I keep getting the prompt that I must upgrade to iOS 6. The netflix is 5.1 so I don't understand the problem. My son also purchased a first gen. iPad and was able to download his netlifx account with no problem. He got an option to "download a previous version". I read that there is a way around this problem but can't seem to locate a solution. I've tried numerous times and always get the same prompt - that I must upgrade to iOS6. Can anyone help me with this. Using my Netflix was one of the main reasons I purcased the iPad.And they do offer a compatible version. As I am running running Netflix on my first generation iPad just fine.
You'll need to first "purchase" the non compatible version either on a newer device that can run it or on a computer running iTunes using the Apple ID that is on the first Gen iPad.
After that is done, you should be able to go into the App Store App, and find Netflix under the Purchased Tab. Tap on it to download it and you should be warned its not compatible, but will be offered the compatible version.

I just bought a New Apple Pro Book. Tried getting Facetime up and working with no luck. Won't accept APPLE ID and won't accept a new account. Tried to buy app thinking it was that but told me it was already installed on the mac. Do I have to fix a setting or something that I am not aware of.
My whole family used the same APPLE ID and I have this apple ID on my IPHONE for facetime. Do we need a new one if so why can't I create a new one???You can use the same AppleID for App Store purchasing Apps, Books and Music. (So you can share between family members, no need to re-purchase)
But for other Apple services like FaceTime, Message, Game Center (next Mac OS release) etc You should use a different Apple ID.
To start, you need an e-mail address (Gmail from Google, Yahoo from Yahoo, or Hotmail from Microsoft: there are all free). Use the browser for example to search for gmail.
1. Create an e-mail account following the instruction given. (Take note of email address you created and password use, password should include numbers, letters and uppercase letter)
2. Test that new e-mail account by sending a test email to that account (GMail mails can be view using the browser)

Is there a way to update PS CS5 extended to allow me to use raw with my D600. It works with my D300 and D90 raw but not with my D600.
CS5 Adobe Camera Raw stopped at 6.7 and the D600 support was introduced in 7.2 for CS6.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try installing a fresh copy of Firefox:

I have tried many things to try to get it to work including deleting almost all of my apps! And it would great if someone could help me out in downloading this app.
Most apps if not all are compressed. You need 3 to 4 times the space to expand and install plus your iPhone core functions also need space work.
You need at least 10% space of your total capacity to have a smooth experience. -

Ive added this to my large product page and now ive entered the world of Schema.org markup and itemtype and im having trouble with images.

Image is the only one im having a problem with so far any ideas if I can do anything about it. I dont want to have to manually add a http to every product.

Davethe meta tags work now.
the only one i still cant get to work is the
<img itemprop="image" {tag_largeimage}" />
when I change it to _path the html editor saves it as
<img alt="" itemprop="image_path" />
so will have to leave that for now put I can still use alot of the itemprop tags to promote the page better than before.

I have a photo of an ice surface and another of a flower. Now I want to create a merged photo with the flower lying under the ice. I understand that I shall use the function "Layer" and have even read in the manual and looked on a video, but that information is not sufficiently detailed for me. I have tried several options, but I come now way. Generally it seems that your information is only for the ones who can, not for the people who can´t although it is we who really need to learn. Please give me a step by step (click by click) information on how I can get the ice above the flower and then make the ice partly transparent so the flower is seen underneath. Open a new document big enough for your image. Then additional open your ice and flower image as well. Copy each and paste it into your blank document. They will be placed on their own separate layers.
Make sure in your layers panel. (Bottom right) the ice is above the flower, by dragging it in place. In that same layers panel click the ice layer to select in and find the opacity meter above. Drag to the left until you get the effect you desire. -

I have a program that sends information(analog output) to lab windows cvi in the form of a text file or user input.
The program runs on the computers that I have the field point explorer and lab windows cvi installed on. In order to run the program without always installing labwindows/cvi and field point; I wanted to create an executable file that could be load on another computer.
I used the create distribution kit part of labwindows/cvi to do this.After creating the distribution kit, I then installed it
to another computer.
My user interface appears on the screen, when the user clicks on the exe. file, but no data is sent to the field point module. I know that the data is being read from the user and textfile because in it appears in the uir.
The following are some details about the problem:
1. On another computer without labwindows/cvi and field point explorer not installed - no data is sent to field point module
I know this because a current is being read on the current meter connected to field point module.
My questions are the following:
1. What are the possible reasons for the data not being sent to the field point module?
2. Do I still need to create an iak. (Installing Field point Explorer) file stored on any new computer that I install my created distribution kit file too?

1) If you do not install FieldPoint Explorer, the FieldPoint Server is not installed so there is nothing on the target computer that knows how to talk to the FieldPoint system.
2) Yes, you need an IAK file on the target computer. Assuming the settings (i.e. com port#) are identical you can simply include the iak file as part of the distribution.
3) You also need to include as part of your installer the file "fplwmgr.dll". If this file is not installed, your program will not be able to access the FieldPoint Server. Alternatively, this file is installed automatically if FieldPoint Explorer detects LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio Development versions on the target computer or if you choose to do a custom FieldPoint Explorer installation and
choose to provide LabWindows/CVI support.

How to use Super as Meta only in Emacs?
I'm using dwm, and running Emacs inside rxvt-unicode.
Since dwm uses left Alt as Mod1 key, i'd like to leave this key only for this purpose. And i need the Super (left windows logo key) to behave as Meta, but only in Emacs. I found sevaral ideas in different forums, but non of them worked so far.
I put this in my .emacs file:
(setq x-super-keysym 'meta)
(setq x-meta-keysym 'super)
...but the Emacs still percieve Alt as Meta, and does nothing with Super. Also i tried to modify xkbmap, but maybe i did it wrong? The original was like this:

I'm trying to write a formula to return a blank cell if the condition is met, and to show the numerical difference if not. Here is what I've written:=IF((F35-F29)=0, " ", (F35-F29)). When the condition is met (i.e., the difference=0) it is returning 0.00, not a blank cell. Where is my error?
Without knowing what is in F35 and F29, I can only guess. Your formula matches what you said but if F35 and/or F29 are the results of formulas and are decimal numbers (not integers), it is very possible that they are not exactly the same number even though you think they should be. IEEE Floating Point math often has very very small errors so the answer is not exactly what you would get with a pencil and paper. Try one or both of these things:
Format the IF cell as scientific. is that 0.0 exactly zero? I suspect it will be some very tiny number.
Type the exact same number into F35 and F29 and see if your IF formula works as you expect.
You might need to use ROUND on F35, F29 and/or in your IF formula to get rid of the tiny math errors.
If you search the forum for floating point math or IEEE 754 you should find more than a few posts about Numbers and floating point math. Or you can read about IEEE 754 on Wikipedia. It trips up a lot of people.
Here is a common example. B2 and C2 are from the formulas shown in B1 and C1. They should both be exactly zero, if done with paper and pencil. Neither is exactly zero (though I have them formatted with 2 decimals so they appear to be 0.00), they are different from each other, and subtracting one from the other is also not exactly zero. -
Using the "People" meta-field for another purpose?
Is there anything that would keep me from using the "People" meta-field to enter the names of the people in a clip? The default usage (close-up, wide, etc.) doesn't buy me anything. If not, I'll just use keywords or Notes. I'm not at my Mac right now; otherwise, I'd bang on it myself. Is "People" a multi-valued field like keywords and roles? Is it configurable? Who is in the shot is much more important to me than how many and how close they are to the camera.
I've since discovered that the proper terms are "face detection" versus "face recognition". You can't do the recognition until a detection phase has narrowed the search domain. At 24, 30, or 60 fps, this might be prohibitive, although I can see opportunities for optimization, especially for interviews or other scenes where the number of people in the shot is small and they aren't moving around a whole lot. I wouldn't be surprised if such a feature is eventually implemented.

Acquiring AC voltage signal using NI 9206 9205 and cRIO
Hello. I am having difficulty accurately acquiring an AC voltage signal using a NI 9206 and cRIO. I'm attempting to acquire voltage signals from two types of Magnelab Current Transformers: split core and rope. In Labview, I first populate an array of size 2,500 with the sensor signal (DIFF mode), then compute the RMS of the array. For the split core CTs, I am able to accurately acquire the correct voltage reading (verified by measuring the corresponding amp on the line using a Fluke 434 Power Analyzer. For the rope CT, however, using the same array/RMS method, I am unable to accurately acquire the correct voltage reading. Measuring the amp on the line using the Fluke 434 PA, the correct voltage from the rope CT should be 0.05v. Using the 9206 (DIFF mode), the RMS from the array gives a voltage reading of 0.071. Now the interesting part is when I measure the line voltage using two different True RMS DMMs, I get two different readings. One multi-meter, a Klein CL2000, reads the correct voltage at 0.05v. Another multi-meter, a Fluke 189, reads incorrectly at 0.071, the same as I get using LabView and the NI 9206. I suppose the question is how is the Klein interpreting the signal differently than the Fluke 189 and the NI 9206 via LabView. One difference between the split-core and rope CTs is that the rope CTs require an external power supply 12-30v AC or DC. I am providing them with 12v DC. I have tried multiple voltages in both AC and DC and still get the same incorrect reading. I'm quite certain it is not a power supply issue, although perhaps the integrator in the rope is creating a unique signal. Any ideas? I appreciate any input.

While the Butterworth low-pass filter sort of worked, it was NOT the solution. I spent some time analyzing the rope CT signals by sampling at a very high rate. The AC signal coming off the rope CTs is triangular NOT sinusoidal. The RMS function in LabView assumes a sinusoidal waveform and essentially calculates the RMS as the average of voltage peaks (for each cycle) / sq.rt (2). Since the AC voltage single emanating from a regular split-core CT is basically sinusoidal, the LabView RMS of the signal gives an accurate reading of the voltage signal. Unable to find a RMS function in LabView for a triangular AC voltage signal, I ended up developing my own custom triangular RMS function in LabView. My function analyzes the signal by finding the peak of every cycle within the signal, takes the average of these peaks, then divides this average peak by sq.rt (3). see this link for formulas:
