Have u checked ur host entry .
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc . Open the host file in notepad.
If entry is not there , add entry for portal
EX: IP address tabspace EPhostname tabspace epdomain<fully qualified path >
10.x.x.x tabspace xxxxxxxxx tabspace *****.com or .net
if entry is there ,
go to internet explorer>tools>internet options>connection>lansettings-->
if ur using proxy server for ur LAN clcik on advanced
Do anot use proxy server for adress begining with
there give ur portal hostnamewith astric(*).

The previous owner has not given you the correct ID and password for you to use.

Careless? Possible, but unlikely. Most likely the phone was stolen from the first owner. Have you been able to access the internet previously and now it's suddenly not working, or are you still trying to access the internet for the first time on your iPad? Are you at home trying to connect through your home router? If you are at home, did you put your home routers encryption code as your password? The encryption code is what your iPad is looking for and it is usually found on the router and is typically a 13 digit combination of letters and numbers. Let us know......

My DVR security sofware that I access remotely uses a "dvr .ocx" file....when I try it in Firefox , either the latest non beta (3.6.1.5) or the new beta version (4.0 rc) it will NOT work as it says the plugin is missing... it works in IE 8,but not IE9...

My machine is Top of the range (my Company builds them so it had better be :) )
Amd 1100t , 8gb ram , Windows 7 64 bit etc, etc...
The is not a hardware problem , but a software problem with FF...Any help would be appreciated as I hate using IE 8 for anything at all :( but I have to keep it on my machines just to run my remote security cameras at my Computer shop ???

As I own a Computer company I am fairly computer literate but cannot find a plugin that allows this to work in Firefox.... but I would have expected it to work in the new Firefox :(

I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

Using Garageband and I cannot hear previously recorded tracks on headphones. Prefs are set to output on EMU0404 my audio device - this did work but now is not working.

All cables check out OK and so does the unit - I have updated to the latest version of Garageband but this did not help. Any suggestion?

I cannot see anything wrong with the EMU0404. This is what puzzels me ... Garageband looks OK - headphones are OK - EMU looks OK.

However, please goto www.trinitystone.biz (using Firefox 5)and look at how the top menu bar has a black box surrounding it and the bottom menu also has this black bar. It is not supposed to be there, if you view the site from IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

Can dld newer versions of Frfx but they are not getting installed?

I am able to dld newer versions of firefox but they are not getting installed ... Currently 'about firefox' shows my version to be 27.0.1 but when I go into the troubleshooting option it shows I have version 28.0 and 29.0 in my update history. Please advise. Thanks

Obviously I have seen your post, and sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately this is likely to be because you did not take enough care on the Internet. It is all too easy to go to bad websites and pick up malware that once downloaded does things you may not like or expect.
Explanation

Suggestions to try to Uninstall or Remove Adware
First thing to try, check which search engine is selected ? Because this is so simple and could have an effect it is worth checking what Search engine is selected for the Firefox Searchbar. You may have changed that, or software may have,and that will affect other searches including those from the address bar and the start page. All you need to do is click the little downward pointing arrowhead in the search bar and check what is in use and what is available. In most countries Firefox uses Google by default.
Check the shortcut Icons - has an address been added ? Right click the icon on the desktop used to start Firefox has an address been tacked on to the end of that. If something has changed that Firefox goes to that address as it starts up. For comparison use a run command directly. In Windows & with Firefox not already open Use keyboard shortcut Winkey+Run then when you get the run option key in ''firefox.exe'' & hit return. That will run Firefox without any extra instruction.
Adware removal 
I you have got adware, or unwanted software especially if it also affects other browsers (So check the use of Internet Explorer) look for anything unexpected installed in the Windows OS, use the Windows Control Panel. especially if only Firefox is affected check what is installed as extensions and plugins by using the addons manager.
