I am using imovie 06, but i am having trouble exporting my video as a quicktime file
I have tried changing the settings numerous times, but when i try and export the movie as a good quality one only part of it plays.
The first bit of video plays but it freezes until the end on one clip while the audio carries on.
I would appreciate any help any one can give me as the film is for a uni assesment and needs to be good quality.
I am so confused!

Without proper system information and other details nobody can help you. and this error means what it says - some other install process is still active, even if it may not do so visible. Could be a silent update of a virus scanner or something, could be a botched install of another program, not even specifically Adobe. As a start, always reboot your computer and then try again. For anything else we need much more info.

I am trying to share calendars with my husband (using Google calendars). He can see my calendars, but I am having trouble seeing his. We both use iPhones. We both have company email addresses. I have had to install and uninstall my gmail info on my iPhone multiple times due to errors sending and receiving emails from my company email address on my phone. For some reason, all of my emails are getting stuck in my outbox when my gmail account is installed on my phone. When I delete it, my emails get sent automatically. This is really annoying! I would do without the gmail account, but I need to share calendars with my husband. How do I fix this?
If you have two-step verification turned on in your email account, you'll have to log in with a browser and turn it off.

Your redemption code was used to acquire an activation code. The activation code is what you need to use when you want to reinstall/enable the software again. Check your Adobe account online to see if the number(s) can be found there.

Hello. May I ask: I am using Acrobat 6.0.2, and having trouble formatting a PDF created from multiple (jpeg) files. Each page is formatted to A4 size, portrait. But when I create the PDF, each sheet appears as tiny, in the middle of a huge white page. I cannot seem to find any controls to adjust this. Any advice appreciated.

....Until last week, I used to make multi-page PDFs straight from Photoshop: File > Automate > Make PDF. One simply choses the files, orders them, and creates a PDF. (Resolution doesn't matter; 300 DPI is no problem.) However, my new Photoshop CS5 does not have the option in Automate.
What I've done, seeing as Acrobat is letting me down, is use Bridge (new to me) to create the PDF. It worked without a problem, but seems like more work than the old PS method. I will download a newer version of Acrobat to see if that makes any difference.
.....Also, thanks Test Screen Name: I agree with you that jpeg is irrelevant, and that one can make a PDF from Photoshop (Print > Save As - pdf). But that only works for SINGLE PAGE pdf, not multiple pages as far as I can tell.

Okay. I don't know if it's the broadband that I'm using or is it firefox, but I'm having trouble with a certain website namely Tumblr. I can login just fine, but everytime it tries to redirect me to its dashboard, it'll direct me to another site instead. Jonathan, I haven't used my Kindle app in some time, so things have certainly changed. When I go out to Amazon and click register devices, it seems to only offer information about Android? Since I have an account on Amazon, I'll have to purchase something new and see if it appears on my iPad Kindle account. The Kindle App on my iPad clearly shows it's registered to me. I'm guessing this happened when Apple started taking a percentage of sales on purchases made on the iPad. For example, I love Zinio for magazine subscriptions. Once the change took place, I know have to input my Apple ID to buy a magazine on the Zinio App.

I am trying to upload "actions" to photoshop elements 10 but I am having troubles! I watched the YouTube tutorial but seem to be missing "Adobe" in my Hard Drive! Help me I am stuck....
I just loaded my actions using the PSE 10 from the App Store.
Close PSE.
Access the System library location from Finder menu, click "Go" in the menu bar then select "Go to Folder...". Type in "~/Library" and click Go.
The systems Library will open up and then you take this path:
Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor > Presets > Actions (The Actions folder is where you move your actions file to)
Then go to the Photo Creations Folder > Locales > en_US and delete the MediaDatabase.db3 file (move it to the trash)
The next time you launch PSE your Actions DB will be rebuilt with the new actions installed. -
i am having trouble with downloading videos from my Sony HDR-XR160 video camera. iMovie doesnt open up when i connect the camcorder. any suggesions?
Looking up your camera online, I found it is capable of 1920 x 1080 Full HD 60p Recording. It's the 60p (60 frames per second Progressive) that's the problem I think. iMovie '11 will do 60i (Interlaced). You might need to convert it from the format the camera currently uses into another format to get it into iMovie. You must have a minimum of OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed on your Mac to have the Mac App Store. The Quick Links are on the Featured pane.

You have to choose – one settigf or another.
The thing is.your HD clips will look better in an SD project than your SD clips will in an HD project.
WIthout knowing much more about your project and the kind of content, it's really hard to be specific. But generally I'd let my project settings be guided by what fraction of my timeline will be made up of HD clips and how much SD clips. If it's 75% HD, I'd probably do an HD project…and so on,

QUESTION: Can I install iLife '09 but still keep iPhoto '08 and use iPhoto '08 instead of iPhoto '09 but use the other iLife '09 programs??
BACKGROUND: I am installing Leopard (after much delay...) and I believe iMovie '09 (part of iLife '09) has a timeline and more features (vs iMovie '08) plus easier to use etc. So I think I want to make my first projects with my 8 hours of vacation videos via my Canon FS100 using iMovie 09 - can put in chapters and such, too I believe.
BUT in trialing iPhoto 09 on another computer, I see that for now at least, I don't want the geographic info / the faces etc. and kinda prefer to stay with iPhoto '08 for now with my 25,000 photos over the past 5 years...
*Is that possible to do?-*

1. iPhoto 09: This converts all the iPhoto Library photos to another format not recognized by iPhoto 08. OK I have several copies on several LaCie external HD's - but I'm wondering if my 30 gb 2008 iPhoto library will now turn into 50 gb in iPhoto 09???
2. Speed: I've been afraid that on my 3 year old MB iPhoto 09 may run much slower than iPhoto '08. You say not much performance hit - but I enjoy fast-- and next Mac (will that be #15 in 20 years?!- at least!!) likely to be a MB Pro - or maybe the fastest desktop I can afford?!?
3. I'm not using FaceBook / Flickr at this time - just MobileMe
iMovie 09: I hope one can insert chapters! Would not want to have to go via HDiMovie06 / garageband to do this-- hey, I've got everything downloaded, but haven't made a single movie / DVD yet! Really I'd like to just get about an hour or two of my 8 hours onto a DVD that looks OK - for a first "YES!" - would you say iMovie '09 is going to be easier to "master" than 08?
