I am using Lion on a new iMac. When I open the dashboard it comes on for 30 seconds then it closes with the message"dashboard client quit" How can I fix this?
I am using Lion on a new iMac. After a few months the dashboard quits after about 30 seconds with the message "dashboard client quit". Is Thera way to if this? I am considering upgrading to Moutain Lion. Will this cause a problem?
I dont know its the wifi at work...ssshhh dont tell. I will try it at home where I know it is hi-speed.

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. Did you reset your iPad like this: Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.

I cannot create a new Business Catalyst site with Dreamweaver CC 2014 (Mac). The error message states that Dreamweaver cannot connect with server, try again later. In addition, I am also unable to load remotely a previously created Business Catalyst site as it says there is something wrong with my username or password. However when I put my password in and press test connection, it says it has connected successfully. What is going wrong and how can I fix this problem?

Since it says you have Mac OS X 10.7.4 in your profile information, it sounds like you have an Intel iMac, not a PowerPC iMac. Is that correct?
The procedure you describe is not exactly the right one for an Intel iMac. You should follow this procedure to reset SMC (power management)

When you do it, disconnect ALL peripheral devices from your computer, including your keyboard and mouse. Connect the power cord only, and power it up that way, initially.
Also, check the vents along the bottom edge of the iMac. If they are clogged with dusk, it can block proper airflow, which can cause overheating, which can cause the fans to run high. If the fans runs high immediately after starting up the iMac (when it is cold), this would not be the cause. -
i have just added a new Cd to iTunes on my laptop and then transferred to iPod classic (CD: Rod Stewart Unplugged). When playing back on the laptop or iPod the recording sounds awful - very crackly. On the Cd player it sounds fine. What is the problem and how can it be fixed? (Otherr CDs record fine onto iTunes)

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings -
How to burn an iMovie to DVD without losing quality? I have iMovie 10.0.5 and iMac 10.9.4 mountain lion. I do not have iDVD. After iMovie goes through the encoding process, quality is horrible. How can I fix this problem? I have tried the apps BURN and DVD Creator for MAC. I need to finish this DVD asap and becoming more and more frustrated. Why would Apple give us iMovie and not provide us an app to burn it to a DVD and / or take away the iDVD?

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see. -

DVD drives read the bottom of the disk, not the top. Smooth out the paper & try again.

No matter where I go, as soon as I turn on the Internet on my new Mac Book Pro, everyone else is no longer able to use the Internet. How can I fix this? You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.
