I am using Mac running OS X Mavericks (10.9.1) and Firefox 26. Two finger scroll down is not working all of a sudden only with Firefox.

Hardware : Macbook Pro
Operating System : OS X Mavericks v10.9.1
Browser : Firefox v26.0
All of a sudden, two finger scrolls doesn't work. Thats only when I am within Firefox Window. Everywhere it just works great. I got NO scroll bars at the edges of browser(Firefox) too. No way of proper browsing other than switching to Safari.
Request to fix this asap.

I'm having the same problem but what I found was the scrolling on my iMac was it works until you try and swipe to go back a page. Then the only solution is the quit the program and restart it.
Spec is an Apple magic track Pad on my iMac with OS X 10.9.
I'm currently using FireFox v25 but the same issue is in v27.0.1.

FileMaker Pro 7 was released in 2004 so it is a PPC application, which means it will never run under Mavericks. Latest version of FileMaker is 13. Try a free trial version by downloading from here. See the Trial software area near the bottom.

Unable to use firefox to axcess bank or pay online, bank tells me the problem is only with firefox.

I use a norwegian bank called Sr-bank (www.sparebank1.no).
The error i recived trying to pay told me to contact the bank and give them the error code "BID-2031" if the problem persisted, so i did.
I recived an e-mail from the bank saying that this was a Mozilla firefox problem and suggested that i switched to internet explorer or chrome. They also sent me a link on theyr bank page, which "explained" the problem. Directly translated it said:
"You use the Mozilla Firefox browser
Our experience is that the BID 2031 occurs for those who use Mozilla Firefox browser. We recommend you to try using a different browser such as Google Chrome, until further notice."
I wan't to keep using firefox, and i know that if i start using other browsers to axcess bank, it woun't be long before i don't bother using firefox at all. Please tell me you have a solution to this problem?

the main page is not the problem, it is the login/security check...
Anyway, my other bank (a local bank) dosn't seem to have any problem with firefox, so if the problem persist, I will probably switch permanentlly to the other bank.

Try to uninstall the software again and you have to manually
Delete the following folders:
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/backup
[Startup Disk]/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher/
Go to Applications-->Utilities-->Disk Utility, Open it and Select the MAC HD and then click on Repair permissions.
After that try to run the cleaner tool as mentioned by kglad.
Restart machine and then try to install again.
*** Make sure , you only delete these folders if there is no other adobe applications installed on the machine. As if you have any other Adobe application of the suite ( not free applications ) then it will be a problem.

I have the same problem, they never told me that, just that the newest version of Java "locks" up streaming quotes.

Here's a positive thing: Windows viruses can't run on OS X, but they can be transferred from OS X to other PCs (only if you have them on the OS X volume).

You could get a virus from a different source that infected Steam and Chrome without any problem. Viruses normally try to infect as many files and programmes as possible.

Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software.

Nach der Installation von Mavericks kann ich weder das MacBook Pro (2 x 2.4 GHz) noch den MacMini (2 x 2.66 GHz) herunterfahren. Es bleibt ein dauerhafter grauer Bildschirm. Nach 20 min habe ich einen erzwungenen Neustart durchgeführt.
Ausserdem startet die Macs wesentlich langsamer als mit OS X 10.6.8.

Qosmio F60 - Cannot use touchpad Two-Finger scroll function

Hey there,
i recently got a harddrive replacment for my Qosmio f60 laptop and windows had to be reloaded.
When my laptop was previously working i could two-finger scroll on pages and such,
Now i cant, and i cannot find a setting for it anywhere.
ive downloaded a driver called 'scrybe' which allows me to do this,
but i would much prefer not running an extra processor and just using the laptops default function.
Can anyone explain why my laptop previously let me do this and now cant? and how i could fix it?

Maybe the Synaptics touchpad driver is not installed?
The Synaptics driver provides additional touchpad features.
Therefore I recommend installing this driver.
The settings can be found in control panel -> mouse -> Advanced tab -> advanced settings

I am on Mac OS 10.6.7 and Java Plug-in 2 for NAPI will not work in FF4.0?

When trying to attend a webinar which uses the Java 2 NAPI plug-in I get an error message in FF 4.0 saying I need to install thiis plug-in, which is already installed. I have gone to the add-on manager and disabled this plug-in restarted and enabled it again, but it still will not work.

I forgot one detail. This happened while I was having trouble seeing the mouse cursor (I use Apple's Magic Mouse). It had disappeared briefly. I had to drag the cursor out of the Firefox Window for it to reappear. I accidentally entered full screen view while the cursor was not visible.

It's been a while but it should work on a Mac because Macs can read Windows formatted devices. Otherwise, you can perform a restore operation to return it to the Mac format. If you go to support.apple.com/manuals/ you can find a copy of the user manual for the model you have in which this is all explained.
