I am using PS elements 12 and can no longer open the editor.

I installed Elements 12 in July 2014 and have had no problems until recently.
I get two different messages depending on how I try to use the Editor.
#1 - Switching from the Organizer to the Editor I get the following error message
Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will
close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
#2 - If I open Elements directly in Windows 7, I get the following
Bitmap file was not found or is out of date. Bitmaps will be
preloaded from individual files. This message should never be
seen if the project is correctly built.
Any suggestions or solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Getting Text Back From All Caps In Photoshop Elements (Not CAPS LOCK!) | morehawes
Mac :
Command ('Apple Key') + Shift + Y
Windows :
Ctrl + Shift + Y
This will put the text back to sentence case or lower case (whatever it should be

If the messages are stored on the device and you can power the device up you can use the application posted at https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/770529 , the application has a screen capture option and you can use the screen as a guide to install MyBackup from Market or a number of backup apps from Market and then you can run the applications and backup data to your SD Card to restore to the replacement device.

It was from InDesign that I was creating the shared pdfs. I was one of two Mac drivers in a corporate sea of Win users and had to make the change I mentioned in order for the Win users to see my pdfs for review. The difference from what you appear to be doing was that were all on an MS Exchange Server so the files were shared over the company's Exchange Server e-mail system. However, some of these files occasionally went to outside users via regular e-mail and those people had no issues either.
So what I did was tested and worked for years.
You might look at the Adobe forums or Knowledge Base to see if that is a reported issue with newer version of CS. I was on CS2 when I was doing this, and the other Mac driver was on CS3 but had no problems either.
Some Win users I've talked to find a problem opening some pdfs (not mine) in general and found they had to open Reader first and them open the file from Reader's File menu. That most often happened if the client was using an outdated version of Reader.

Try a reset of the device by pressing and holding the home and power button for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if you can then update the app.
If you do delete the app then you should be able to re-download your ibook purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app. But in case some of them are no longer available in the store and/or you have PDFs or epubs in it, then you could first connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) which should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library so that you have your own copy of them and can sync them back (even though they aren't iTunes purchases it should also copy over any PDFs or epubs that you have in the iBooks app)

Yes, except n°1 - empty Temp directory, I had tried/checked all of those.
I emptied the local temp folder tonight, but it still won't work.
Please note: the installation doesn't give me any problem. The program was working fine, until at one point *plouf* it stopped working. I can re-install it without any problem, it just crashes when opening.
\\edit\\ I seem to have located the problem, it's in the library files. If I re-install iTunes without my library, it works fine (though there is no music in it, yet). As soon as I import my library, or replace the My Music\iTunes folder with the old one, it stops working.

I'm happy with my cm1312nfi printer. I've been using it for years, typically 1000 sheets a year, and I was always pleased with it. Until last weekend.
After printing 240 pages full color (yup, once in a printer's life time), I can no longer open the cartridge drawer. For some reason is seems to be stuck. The machine still prints, but the toner cartridges need cleaning and maybe replacement. Also, during printing, some weird noise is made, if some plastic rotating part is blocked and slips from the axis.
I found the service manual on the Internet and looked for a clue. Alas. Then I started disassembling the printer, but that didn't help either. I really have to disassemble all sensitive parts of the laser printer, in order to get access to the cartridge drawer. That is a bit streched for me. I reassembled the printer again, and it is now in the same state as before, with the defect. Last thing I tried was to open the drawer in the middle of a print cycle. Everything is moving then, and maybe it would release the drawer. But unfortunately, this was also not the case.
Are there any other options beside retiring this machine?

I deleted addressbook framework and can no longer open some apps

I've been clearing up space on my 10.5.8 mac hardrive. I've deleted my things by moving them to the trash and then emptying it. However, I have emptied out 'Addressbook.Framework' I thought it was just to do with the address book app which I don't use anyway ( I know that this is very silly but I really don't know much) but since I've deleted Addressbook.framework, I have not been able to launch Google Chrome, Spotlight, Finder and iPhoto. I can't access any of my files but I know they are still there. I have deleted all my other browsers (Safari and Firefox) so I only have Chrome left but I can't launch it so I can't access internet on my macbook (i'm using my iphone right now). If I had internet access I would be able to download the recovery program for recovering the emptied trash but I don't have a browser to download the program so....
what do I have to do? I know you can download a browser on someone else's laptop and then transfer it by USB but my mac is quite old (10.5.8) so I don't know if that's going to work.
Should I but the installation disc for mac os x snow leopard 10.6? Would that solve the problem? I know it could but I want to keep all my personal data and since I can't access finder, I don't know if I will be able to transfer files into an external hardrive or not.
Please help me. I am now very sad because I've spent so much time downloading movies onto my mac but now I can't access them and can't use the internet.
Ps. I think it will be helpful if I type up the problem detail that comes up when I click Report. I've only typed out the bottom bit which seems to be the error.

I Should add as well that after I emptied out the trash everything was still fine, I could open all the apps. But then I restarted my laptop and it all went wrong as I've mentioned above. I tried restarting it again just now but now I'm getting a blank blue screen with yhe occasional "The Application Spotlight has quit unexpectedly". I didn't only delete Addressbook.framework I've deleted many other things from the Library which I thought weren't necessary but AddressBook.framework is causing the most problem right now.

Using Illustrator CS and being able to open the same file on two machines!

Don't know if anybody can help?
I have been using macs for many years and now we have moved over to windows!
We are using a server (not sure which type? NT?) and we have found that with the Mac you could not have two users in the same file but with Windows I can be in an Illustrator file and a colleague can also open the same file - no error message comes up or anything! We can then both do changes in that file and the last to save has the updated file.
Can we do anything so you get a error message for the second user?
Any ideas?

this does not make sense? Its the SAME version of Illustrator as that was on the Mac but when working on the PC you can both be in the file. On the Mac you get an error message saying the file is already open and you cannot access it.
This must be a Windows issue or a Server issue as the problem is not on the Mac?

HT1212 I dropped my phone, and can no longer see the screen.

I need to sync my phone one last time to get the info off, but the screen is blank, and I can't unlock it. Itunes tells me I must unlock it to sync it. Any suggestions?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.
* Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

I have an iMac, version 10.8.5 and can no longer open a new private window.

I am using Firefox 25.0.1 and my OS is up to date.
A few days ago, I could no longer open a new private window.
When I click on that tab, I get a new open window.

I can no longer get the editor to open.

Everything was working great but now the editor will not open. It acts like it going to then just shuts down right away. How do i fix this?

Did you try resetting preferences?
Close Elements.
Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
