I am using the Kurzweil 3000 software and before I can use Read the Web, KESIReader Firefox extension must be installed. This is not compatible with Firefox 5, how can I make your extension to work with my software?

I use the kurzweil 300 software and before I can use Read the Web I must first install the KESIReader.xpi Foxfire extension into Mozilla Foxfire however, the extension is not compatible with Mozilla Foxfire 5 which is the version installed on my computer. What can be done to make this work with Kurzweil 3000 software and the Read the Web tool?
Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or 8 Web Browser.
Can you help me with the information I have provided I know the rest of the requirements are meet.

this is exactly the kind of response i expected, almost begged support to please not do this to me and yet there it is another meaningless, non helpful, standard template response to restart my apple tv.
this does NOT work which is why i am contacting you. i have tried all suggestions about unplugging and restarting and nothing works.
i live in an apartment and logon to the provided wifi wireless. so i do not have access to a router. however, management says they have talked with their provider and have been assured that the required ports are available.

What has me concerned is that my employer has also requested that I use my Persoanl iTunes account to syc and update the iPad. I am concerend with my personal privacey, as I have two other iPads that use this account regualary.
My question is: How can I use iTunes to update etc. the company iPad using iTunes without compromising my personal information?
What I have done is to set up a different sign in (is that called an Apple ID?) within iTunes (I now have two different names I can use to sign in to iTunes). They both still use the same iTunes and my personal apps and information appear to be available to my second sign in name (the second sign in name is what I intend to use for the company iPad). When I sync the company iPad how do/can I keep my persoanl information from being syc'd automatically to the comapany iPad?

It sounds like you will still want to link your iPad and computer, but you want to prevent the iPad from syncing information from your computer to your iPad. I have an article here for you that can help tell you how to set this up:

You will want to follow the steps here to set up the iPad for syncing, but when it comes time to sync, you'll just want to make sure that the boxes for syncing the multitude of items that you can sync remain unchecked so that none of that information gets synced into the iPad.
Another note: your second Apple ID will not be able to access the apps, music, movies, tv shows, etc., that you have purchased under your primary Apple ID. Even though it seems that the secondary Apple ID still has access to those items, that is just because you are viewing your second Apple ID through the iTunes Store section on your computer and you have those items saved locally on your computer. You will need to repurchase and download all of the content that you wish to use again on your second Apple ID, if that is what you wish to solely use on this iPad.

The problem i'm having is that it will find the scanner and will give me the simple scanning mode from the plate, but it will not give me any access to the advanced scanning functions and to the negative scanner part of it. How do I make airport time capsule work with Linksys cisco router?

Hi all.
I bought an airport time capsule 3T and want to connect it to the internet, using a macbook with OS X 10.9.2. Currently I am using a Linksys Cisco router model WAG54G2.
I followed the steps of the setup airport guide: Connected the WAN port of the airport with an ethernet port on the router, plugged in the power cable, filled in the internet username and password. In Airport Utility I can see the airport and the internet icon, both with green dots most of the time. But it seems to disconnect every minute or so, green dots turning orange and the status light on the airport flashing orange. The internet light on the linksys also goes on and off. When the internet is on, it is quite slow.
Advice is welcome!

No guarantees here. AirPort Utility 6.3.1 is a big drop down from the 5.x versions in Leopard and Snow Leopard.
Hold in the reset button on the back of the Time Capsule for 9-10 seconds and release
Allow a full minute for the TC to restart to a slow, blinking amber light
Click the AirPort icon at the top of the screen and wait a few seconds for a listing of New AirPort Base Station to appear. Just below that, click on Time Capsule.
The example below shows an AirPort Express. You will see Time Capsule.
As soon as you click on the Time Capsule, AirPort Setup will open up automatically and take a minute to analyze the network....and probably suggest that the Time Capule will be configured to "extend"....which is wrong.
Click the Other Options button at the lower left
Click Add to an existing network
Next to Connect To.....select the wireless network name from the drop down list....if it appears. Otherwise type in the exact name of the wireless network.
Click Next
Confirm any settings again and wait to see if AirPort Utility 6.3.1 will allow the Time Capsule to join the wireless network.
You have about a 1 in 5 chance that this will occur.
Post back on your results.

How do I make an Airport Extreme work with a Linksys WRT160N

I have a Linksys WRT160N V3 Router that I have connected to my cable modem. I have an iMac in another room along with a PC based laptop. Range is fine to get them to connect wirelessly. However what I would like to do is to also connect my Blu-Ray device to the internet. However it isn't wireless. I was told I could use an Airport Extreme to bridge to my WRT160N. What I want to do is hardwire connect my Blu-Ray player and perhaps my iMac to the Airport Extreme using my WRT160n's access to the cable modem. Basically I'm trying to make to wirelss routers talk to each other. I can't seem to make the Airport Extreme work. Any assistance would be great.

Unfortunately, this is not correct. The AirPort Extreme does not have the capability that you need. If you could connect the Linksys and Extreme together using an ethernet cable, it would function as you wish. Or, if it's not possible to connect them using an ethernet cable, you might take a look at a pair of ethernet powerline adapters to accomplish the same task by using the AC wiring in your home.

I have a new MacBook Air and I can not seem to get my old HP Officejet T65 printer to work with it. It worked perfectly with my old PC but although my mac recognises the printer it does not show all of the printer options and is only printing in black and white. It is also saying that the printer is "offline" or that the printer USB is not connected when it is. I know I should probably just get a new printer but would like to use my old one in the meantime. The HP online help I could find only offered printer updates or help for windows. Any suggestions on how to make it work with my mac?

It may not make you feel any better but you would likely have the same or worse problem with a newer Windows PC computer and that printer. HP hasn't offered Windows drivers for it since Windows XP days (i.e., no support for Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8).

My computer crashed how do I make sure my ipod works with my computer again

So my computer crashed. We replaced the hard drive. I recently re-installed itunes. But when I plugged in my ipod all I could do was tranfer purchases or wipe my ipod. I have about 500 songs from cd's that i do NOT want to put back in my itunes library. Is there some way where I can place all of my songs from my ipod onto my itunes library without manually doing it again? And I can't download anything new onto my ipod either. There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. There is a very direct method, which I personally prefer, but there are also numerous third party applications, which will help you accomplish the task as well. The link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method as well as a few third party applications if you choose to go that route instead.
It would also be a good idea to re-authorize your computer. Hope this helps.

If your iPhone was unlocked and has relocked after an update to iOS, then the iPhone was hacked to unlock it and has now been locked back to the original carrier. You'll need to contact the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked and request unlocking. They may refuse to do so since you're not the person with whom they had the contract.
