I am using windows xp. it tells me my itunes library is locked or i don't have permission to write. How can i get on itunes?
How can I get into itunes? This only happens for one user account ..itunes works on othr user accounts on the same computer.

Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? In Firefox 4.0 the default homepage / Start Page in Firefox was changed to '''about:home''' which looks a lot like the former www.google.com/firefox homepage.

On a Lenovo laptop, completed the download and restart and got the video which proceeds very slowly because this is Africa! I have learned never to watch videos here because it blows all my modem credit in a short time. Now I don't seem to have Firefox 4 on the computer, but the previous version is there, though unpinned from the TAskBar.

i recently purchased a 21.5 iMac with Yosemite (10.10.1) and was disappointed to discover that my CS6 programs are not functioning correctly. I am unable to use the "Save As" command when making changes to a JPEG file in Photoshop. The message I get says that either another program is using the file or it is locked and I don't have permission to execute that command. I'm experiencing a similar problem in Bridge when trying to move an unwanted file to the Trash. Again, I get a message telling me that i don't have permission to do this. Lastly, I'm unable to open any Camera Raw files. Any suggestions? I had no problems with the Mavericks OS on my old iMac and although it's much slower, I'm tempted to go back to using my old iMac. At this point, I feel as if I've just wasted $2300+ (tax included).
Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select

from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:

You can't create an iCloud account on your PC. You have to first create an iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher). After creating the account on one of these devices you can use the ID to sign into the account on your PC.

I have an old apple id that i havent used for years. For some reason i have updates on my mac i cannot do unless i sign onto that old account. It uses an old e mail account i no longer use or have access to. How can i get to do these updates?

If you are seeing the old Apple ID with regard to this Mac, then it would seem that somehow you have incorporated the ID in the setup of this new Mac.
Iphoto i use never used imovie.
If you began using iPhoto without having Accepted it into your Apple ID, then that would explain why you are unable to update the app. If any of the iLife apps are used without Accepting them into your Apple ID, the ability to accept them will lapse and you will not be able to update them. -

I installed the new itunes software onto my windows computer and then couldn't oopen Itunes. I did an uninstall and reinstall and still have the same problem. How can I get my itunes back?

My iTunes downloads were made using my old gmail address. I had to quit using this address as it got hacked. How do I get my iTunes downloads into my new iTunes account that was created with a new gmail address? In my old iTunes account (with the old gmail address, I can't 'update' my email address or even 'add an alternate address' as I had already created this gmail account and inputting the new address into iTunes gives me the 'pop-up' that 'this account is already in use.' Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.

I have an iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.3. When I go to the landscape view in Safari, the bookmark page appears and takes up one half of the screen. How can I get rid of the bookmark page so I can use the whole screen to what I am browsing?

From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
An Added Bonus is that you will then have a Backup of iTunes...

I checked. Niel is right. It is frustrating. I got an iPad when they first came out and within 3 years it couldn't be upgraded. I've still been using it happily, although this summer I got an iPad mini. I plan on passing it down to my daughter.
