< Edited By Host >Hello fuchs (guess), If you cancelled while downloading the 4GB Lion, no problem, download again. Snow Leopard should run (start holding the option key).
If you cancelled during the install process, I do not know. In this case you could try to start with the CMD + R keys pressed, and choose the restore, which may work if the creation of the restore partition of Lion has finished.
If that does not work, reinstall Snow Leopard with the CD (start holding the C key), after that download the Combo Update 10.6.8 to update the Snow Leopard completely, then redownload Lion (App Store, click "purchases" while holding the Option Key, find Lion, click "install"). If you want to have your own copy of the Lion installer, you have to copy the installer to a Memory stick or burn to DVD before you install, see else where.

Someone used my email address to create an Apple ID. I logged in to appleid.apple.com and I changed the password because it is freaking me out. I want to report it to Apple but dont know how to go about it. I want the Apple ID deleted. How do I go about that? Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. Thank youThe thread running through your explanation has to do with connectivity to your server. (iCloud out of the blue asking for password, unable to message your boyfriend, unable to access e-mail). You said that you boyfriend restart his device and then the two of you were able to then imessage. My best advice for you would be to go to settings to reset to reset network settings. Once this has been done you then will need to enter the name and password of your wifi. ONce this is done you then can attempt to check to see that all passwords are enter correctly.

Can someone please help a friend of mine get a permanent registration key (not a trial key that expires in 30 days) to replace his lost registration key for Adobe Photoshop CS2? His previous hard drive crashed and he no longer has his registration key. This is vital for his wedding business.
Thanks to everyone for the tips on my CS2 question. It turns out in the end it was some plug-in filter software that was causing the glitch, not a lack of an Adobe registration key. As for why he still uses CS2, it does the job for him, so that's all he needs.

I need to download all of my photos from my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to my MacBook Air because there is no more storage space available. I want to make sure all my photos are not lost and that they do not return to the original devices because of the cloud. Can someone please help ?
Connect your devices to the computer with the USB cable (one device at a time) and import the photos via iPhoto or Image Capture.
If you have not changed any default settings on your computer, iPhoto will automatically launch when you plug in the device. Then follow the import prompts. -

You do realise that wiping the disk means that everything on the disk is erased. Everything. Photos, music, emails, ...
So the first piece of advice is to make sure you have a back up of everything.
You need the OS disk to reintsall the operating system. You will use that disk first to erase the drive, then to reinstall the OS.

What "child lock" are you talking about?
Do you mean you set up a Managed account (Parental Controls), or some other software?
For Parental Controls, select the account in Users & Groups and uncheck the "Enable parental controls" checkbox. -
