I applaud you all NEVER to use BT!!!!!

Please see below all of the problems i have faced in the last 7 months of being with BT. 
Sub par internet for the last 5 months that cuts off around 4-5 times an hour (EVERY HOUR) that costs me £57 per month
spending what must now be 7+ hours on the phone to BT trying to sort this out
On 2 separate occasions taking time off of work to wait at home for an engineer that has never turned up and i don't even get a call to explain.
I have been lied to by tech support saying that items and engineers are on there way or that my problem is 100% fixed now.
Countless times when the tech staff have arranged Call backs with me and never bothered.
over £20 spent from my mobile from when i have had to call you from a mobile when it has been an emergency or i have needed to look at my hub/router while speaking to BT.
6 times i have had hubs not show up at my house at all or the wrong parts sent and i have had no call or anything, when i call up to find out what has happened i am told they just haven't been put through. 2 of theses occasions have happened over the last 4-5 days. I am still awaiting a hub with wires that hasn't come.
Part of my profession is playing games online in compotitions which is one of the reasons i got BT infinity for the fast connection and i have not been able to do that in months.
Even one of the guys who were supposed to put me in touch with a manager before forgot to send the info across and this resulting in the process taking another stumble.
When i finally speak to a manager of the retention team he was just about as useless as everyone else and all he offered me was to cancel my BT infinity.
Even my BT phone line i get Sales calls even though we are X directory and calls from somwhere like singapore
The first situation on the list would make you want to pull your hair out alone and i have had to deal with all of these others and it is really taking a toll on me.
BT are one of the biggest companies in the UK and the way i have been treated is disgusting.
Anyone who doesn't use BT at the moment and is thinking about it i would 100% suggest you look elsewere as i will never touch BT again, i will also do my best to let everyone Know just how bad i have been treated

    Thanks @ KiltedTim, but losing "only" any data is really not acceptable and, in this case, the phone had not been backed up, but thanks for taking the time. Also, yes, fungible means what I think it means. An iphone is a completely substitutible commodity, unlike my data, so instructions that inform me as to how to fix a phone I could replace for a small sum of money while failing to address the more important issue of the data are almost useless - they potentially save me the $99 it would cost me to replace the phone if I were so inclined to trust another apple product. Not worth the hour it took to find them or the 35 minutes on the phone to confirm my suspicions about the data.

    this was per apple store intelligence.

    IGNORE the last post: he thought you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
    Since you are using Snow Leopard, you need to install Rosetta.  It can be found on your Snow Leopard Install DVD in the Options section.
    Once installed all should be well again.
    Also, if your computer is connected to the internet when the Dialog Box about PowerPC applications comes up, it MIGHT allow you to download Rosetta from the internet.  There has been some discussion that Apple has discontined internet download of Rosetta into Snow Leopard.
    Someone else will have to address your lost files problem.

    I can't install or uninstall iTunes on my laptop.  I've followed all the steps on Apple Support as well as Microsoft support.  I get the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Pick an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi".  This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'm very frustrated.  From what I can see, I'm not the only one with this problem, but I have yet to see anyone post a solution that works.  Microsoft wants to charge me $99 to troubleshoot it for me and Apple will charge $20.  I think both are ridiculous as this is obviously not "operator error".

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    That doesnt work for me. I removed itunes through the windows cleaner method as shown in other posts and re-installed itunes. Now im getting this error
    iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes
    Error 7 (Windows error 126)
    Also my Microsoft office has stopped working after i deleted Itunes which is really strange.
    Can somebody provide me a solution please....

    It's a phishing attempt to get your account and payment details, it's not from Apple - if you clicked on the links in it and entered your details then you should change your password immediately e.g. by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and selecting 'view apple id' on the popup and signing into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com
    If you still have the email then you could forward it to Apple : [email protected]

    Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

    There is no enable disk use option for iOS Devices.  See this article for instructions on copying videos and photos from your iOS device to your PC.

    Perhaps the destination you are trying to download to is full; that's what the message says, after all.
    If you're trying to download directly to an iPod touch, then perhaps it is full up.
    If you're trying to download to your computer, is there space on your hard drive? Alternatively, is the hard drive set to "read only" or are your account permissions set to deny you the option to save files?
