Lovely HelloO!
I`m doing R&D on mobile portal so do you have seen one? is there any mobile portal that i can see & analysis it ?
best regards...

Hi Prasad,

  • Does Intune Company Portal in mobile devices notify app updates?

    Hi,
Does Intune Company Portal in mobile devices notify app updates?
And if we retire the devices from company portal, the apps we just previously installed from the company portal app will be uninstalled automatically?

I believe, it won't show any notification, you need to open company portal and search for the new apps which you have published.
Yes,All the Apps which you have installed from the company portal will be uninstalled and the device will set to default settings.

  • MFA Server - User portal and mobile app web server should be installed where?

Hi. We are in the process of testing the Multi-Factor Auth server and are currently using it for two-factor authentication to RDS for a couple of users. At the moment we are only using the phone call/text options but I'd like to get the mobile app portion
working to test.  Also still need to implement the user self-service portal for testing.
Currently I have a vm that was dedicated to MFA where the Multi-Factor Authentication Server software was installed.  Now though I'm a bit confused as to if its safe to install the user portal and mobile app web service portion on this same machine
or if they should go on a different server(s)?  Currently the box is internal but I'm guessing if it has also act as the web server we would stick it behind the TMG for external inbound access.  Is external access to the primary MFA server ok?
What's the best practice for separation of the MFA roles; or is there none and its fine to just put it altogether?
    Thanks.

    Hello Col. Forbin,
    Thanks for posting here!
You have a dedicated MFA server and if you install User Portal on the same server as the MFA Server, it uses RPC to communicate with the MultiFactorAuth service locally.
If the User Portal is installed on a different server, it must connect via the Web Service SDK. You can use either a username/password of a service account that is a member of the PhoneFactor
Admins security group, or you can configure client certificates. If using the username/password, you can encrypt the appSettings section of the web.config file if desired.
Under Inetpub\wwwroot\MultiFactorAuth when you edit the web.config file you need to make sure these values are set.

Some mobile phones don't support the latest features in javascript.
ADF uses a lot of PPR which depends on javascript and if the mobile/table browsers don't support those features than you will loose a lot of functionality.Agreed, css might cause formatting issues and extensive Javascript usage might not work on tablets or mobiles browsers. Thanks!

  • Enterprise Portal vs Mobile

    Hi,
Am evaluating advantages of using mySAP CRM Portals vis a vis Mobile Solution. If you folks have any inputs on this, please fwd me at [email protected]
    Many Thanks.

    Hi
There is a lot of differences:
Workplace is: ABAP-based, "past" as no development is done, hard to integrate with not-SAP components
EP is: Java based, the future frontend for netweaver components, long-term supported and much more easy to integrated with SAP and non-sap components using Netweaver development studio tools and business packages.
There is really no choise: SAP Enterprise Portal is so much better.

  • Portals vs Mobile

    Hi,
Am evaluating advantages of using mySAP CRM Portals vis a vis Mobile Solution. If you folks have any inputs on this, please fwd me at [email protected]
    Many Thanks.

We did and are continuously doing a similar evaluation.
The coverage problem, certainly when being in a store, is really there. No problem at all in the big cities, but certainly a problem in the smaller cities and less developed areas.  I assume this will improve in the coming years.
A major decision point for us to stay (for the time being) on mobile is that we need sales information to be taken in the store. This information has to reside on the laptop (sometimes very big PowerPoint) because downloading or accessing them at the moment of the sales talk can take too long, does not always work, ...
We are also considering a mixed environment depending on the job role of the person using the application
Maintaining and supporting the mobile solution is very heavy compared to a portal approach.
    Hope this helps

  • Portal Mobile Phone Access

    hi,
i must admit to not knowing a great deal about mobile phone access to portal so i have a few questions.
the portal mobile pack offering basically gives you the capability of presenting portal pages to mobile phones.
the question i have is regarding the communications from the mobile phone to portal's content.
i.e. does the phone have to have internet access and basically accesses the portal over the internet via the mobile phone providers communications ?
or does a wap gateway product need to be installed in front of the portal too.
i thought nowdays most mobiles had internet access so comms occurs to the portal in the same way it would via a web browser - i.e. as long as your portal is publicly accessible via the internet and configured with the mobile pack, then mobile phones can access it.
is this correct or am i missing a piece of the puzzle?
    thanks
im in australia btw tho answers from other locations are still of interest :)

Portal with Mobile Access allows portlets and channels which can output AML (either using OOTB portlets/channels or using Mobile Builder development tool), to be rendered on the desktop or most all mobile devices.
The mobile device, e.g., a mobile phone, must have internet service which most do today. The wireless carrier provides the WAP gateway to allow the device access to the internet. The purposes of mobile access are many including transforming the data for correct display, human interface improvments to ease use of data on smaller displays, single sign on to multiple portlet applications, cache streaming of the data to 'connection limited devices', etc.
Portal 6.3 comes with MA already installed. A neat quick test is to install 6.3, then using a mobile phone or downloading an emulator to your desktop, point at your new portal and see how display renders.

  • Deploment slots for mobile service (old vs. preview portal)

    Hello,
How can I add deployment slots to a mobile service? I know the  article from documentation (look for web-sites-staged-publishing, cannot post links yet). But this one explains only how to add slots to azure websites (from the preview Portal, what about
the old one?). I cant find any option to add slots to mobile service in the old portal.
In addition, when I add a mobile service from the new preview portal, it results in an azure website code base, but no mobile service can be found (in the old portal)? Otherwise, no mobile service, created by the old portal, can be seen in the new portal...uh?
    I'm feeling lost....What am I doing wrong?

There is a distinction to be made between Mobile Apps (Preview), which is available only in the preview portal, and Mobile Services, which is available only in the existing portal.
Creating a Mobile App will not create a Mobile Service, and the reverse is also true. There is a migration story for customers wishing to move to Mobile Apps, and this will be further developed as the preview continues.
Mobile Apps uses Web Apps (formerly Web Sites) as the compute container, meaning customers can get all of the benefits of a Web App, including Deployment Slots and many other features
Mobile Services, however, does not have the Deployment Slots feature at this time.

  • BB Torch (unlocked). Cant setup email (times out when selected) via Virgin Mobile

    Hi Everyone
    I have a BB Torch 9800.
It was originally registered on the Rogers network, and everything worked fine.
I recently unlocked the phone, and switched to Virgin (ie new SIM card), including a data plan.
Im not able to setup an email account now.
When I go into Setup->Email Accounts->Internet Mail Account, it says "Check for updates'.
After a couple minutes it will timeout saying it can't connect.
In searching the fourms, I came across Host Routing Table settings. My HRT has  "* No entries *'. I have "Register Now", which tells me the Registration message was sent, however I havent had a response back.
Im also wondering if this phone is still "registered" with Rogers somehow?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

My providor is Virgin Mobile in Ontario, Canada. A quick web search seemed to indivate they support this BB, but IM not positive. So it coul just be thats the issue.
From what I can see in the official Download Portal, Virgin Mobile Canada indeed does support the 9800...you can double check here:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html
If a carrier lists an OS package for a specific BB model number, then the carrier supports that model, and everything should be fine.
But, that is step 5...what about the things included in steps 1 through 4? Those, of course, are all steps...requiring the success of a prior step before considering proceeding to the next step. So, for instance, if your voice services aren't yet working from Virgin, then you should not even be thinking yet about getting data to work.
    As to your questions:
    phantasie wrote:
How do I go about registering the BB onto their network - namel generating the proper Service Book delivery.
Do I request this through my BB?
Normally, I suggest the following steps, in order (again requiring success before proceeding), even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Unfortunately, we already know that your BB fails on step 1 here (register HRT)...which then precludes moving on to step 2. Which leads me back to the prior steps...did steps 1 through 4 all result positively?
    phantasie wrote:
How do I go about registering the BB onto their network - namel generating the proper Service Book delivery.
Would the providor do this for me automaticall?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no...when in doubt, the steps above are the way to force it.
    phantasie wrote:
How do I go about registering the BB onto their network - namel generating the proper Service Book delivery.
Would I request the providor to do this?
If it does not work with what is above, then the next logical step would be to contact the carrier for formal assistance...after all, it's their network with which you are attempting to get your BB to communicate.
    phantasie wrote:
How do I go about registering the BB onto their network - namel generating the proper Service Book delivery.
Do I login into BB to do this (ie I found this link https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html which I tried logging into, but it says my device isnt registered on the network. It told me to setup my Host Routing Tabels to fix that, which I tried, but hasnt worked yet).
There is more than one way to accomplish many of these things. But, until your BB properly registers to the carrier network (HRT), attempting to go any further is pointless.
With all of that, we're back to steps 1 through 4 of what I previously sent...if those are not completed properly, then nothing else will be useful.
    Good luck!

  • Strange Behavior of Portal 7

    Hi Everyone.
    Greetings to all.
I am using portal server 7 on web server 6.1.
I am facing a strange and erratic behavior of portal while accessing portal from mobile device.
I am using openwave simulator 7 for accessing portal, on accessing url
    http://hostname.domainname/portal/dt
I get all the content of the anonymous desktop except for the login channel fields.
Also, after accessing portal url from the mobile simulator once, when I tried to access portal from my desktop browser, the login channel get missing from it as well. Only after refreshing it 4-5 times, I get it back on the PC browser.
I am unable to login to portal from my mobile simulator. Any idea what might be wrong with my settings.
I tried to access portal from Microsoft Mobile Explorer but the same results.
Any help on it is highly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Julia

    Dear Mr. Chris,
Greetings and thanks for your reply.
Your reply certainly provided me some clue to work on but the problem is still not solved.
I looked into the openwave simulator device setting and here are its properties:
    User Agent: OPWV-SDK/62 UP.Browser/6.2.2.1.208 (GUI) MMP/2.0
    UAProf URL: http://developer.openwave.com/uaprof/OPWVSDK62.xml
Where can I check if this User agent is supported by portal server?
Working ahead on the LoginProvider files namely /aml/display.template , when I removed all the code in it and just have I named ‘Julia Ray' written on it, the simulator is able to display the header, my name and the footer as in the anonymous desktop, but as soon as I embed some of the aml code or restore the original file, the header and footer remains, but the content of the display.template is gone.
Right now I am unable to access it from a real mobile, so is there any other device/simulator I can use?
Any other suggestion? Need it badly :-(
    Thanks again.
    Cheers,
    Julia Ray

  • Mobile Phone App and Azure MFA Server

I currently have directory sync enabled between my on-premise AD environment and Azure Active Directory, and also enabled multi-factor authentication on my profile. I installed PhoneFactor on my mobile device and am able to use it to verify my identity when
logging into my O365 OWA account.
I recently installed and configured the Multi-Factor Authentication Server to enable RADIUS requests for VPN connections, and have successfully tested MFA using the phone call method (when I connect via VPN client, I provide credentials, and receive a call
to verify my identity, press # and connection is accepted).
What am having trouble doing is using the mobile app as a method for verification. When I try to connect, I immediately receive 'Login Failed,' and there are no indications in PhoneFactor for an authentication request.
In the MFA Server logs, I see two entries:
No device configured for user '[email protected]'
PfAuth failed for user '[email protected]'. Call status: SKIPPED_USER_INCOMPLETE - "User lacks information required for phone auth".
I have read guidelines on creating a user portal within my network for self-registration, but I was hoping I could just use the Azure-provided portal.
Anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

At present, the MFA Server user enrollment is completely separate from Azure AD. If you want to use the mobile app with the MFA Server, you need to install the User Portal so that users can generate activation codes and set their MFA method to mobile app.
Also, for users to activate their mobile apps, you have to install the Mobile App Web Service, which communicates with the MFA Server via the Web Service SDK to validate the activation code generated in the User Portal. Here are links for installing the User
Portal and Mobile App Web Service.

    1. Administração e Desenvolvimento em plataforma SAP NetWeaver (ABAP, Java ou componentes específicos, como PI, Portal, CE, Mobile, BW, etc.);
    2. Administração e Desenvolvimento em plataforma SAP Business Objects (Crystal, WebIntelligence, Xcelsius, etc.);
    3. Administracao e Desenvolvimento em plataforma SAP Sybase (no momento, apenas da suite iAnywhere com foco Mobile: SUP, Afaria, SQL Anywhere e aplicacoes: Mobile Workflow, Mobile Sales for SAP CRM e outras que virão);
    4. Outras questões relativas a desenvolvimento em geral, quando relativas a integração com plataforma SAP (pontos como Adobe Forms, .NET connector, scriptting languages como Ruby, Web Services (SOAP ou REST) etc.).
    Henrique Pinto.

  • ISE 1.2 WEBAUTH (CWA) + SELF PROVISIONING (NSP)

I'm trying to achieve the following for our employees, contractors and guest.
Guests and Contractors should be allowed to access the internet after successful auth on the ISE guest portal login page.
contractors (ldap contractor group) -> webauth -> internet
guest (internal ise db via sponsorportal) - webauth -> internet
Employees should be allowed to register their devices after successful auth on the ISE portal login page and they should be allowed to access the internet once their device is registered. So they don't have to re-enter the credentials every 2 hours.
employee (ldap employee group) -> webauth -> nsp -> internet
In ISE i've created a custom portal with mobile device portal and self-provisioning flow enabled. At the moment I don't have any client provisioning Policy configured and I've set the Native Supplicant Provisioning Policy Unavailable: to Allow network acces.
I'm currently experiencing problems with clients and they describe their problem as portal loop. when they enter their credentials they are redirected to the portal once again. I did move around some of the rules and it currently looks like this. At the moment i'm working remote and not able to replicate the problem myself. Any advice would be welcome and much appreciated.
Is there any available documention about the builtin attributes in ISE. I'm especially interested in network use EQUALS guest flow.

    Hi Patrick,
I'm facing similar problem as yours , but on wired . My contractor (I name it vendor) is redirect to guest portal , and when they login they were redirected to the portal again.
for the devices registration , I have set  the Native Supplicant Provisioning Policy Unavailable: to Allow network acces.
my authorization rules as follows :
1- rules name : Vendor-wired  :  identity : registerddevices AND identitygroup: VENDOR  authorization profile: VENDOR-ACCESS
    2-  rules name : WIRED-CWA  :  identity : any  condition: device-type:SWITCH  authorization profile: CWA-PORTAL
It looks like , when vendor is login , they are not hitting the first rule , although the device shows up in the registered devices , and the vendor account is in VENDOR identity group (local in ISE) , so they come back again to rules 2 , which redirect them to the CWA-PORTAL again .
did you find any hint for this problem ?

  • ADFS Active Authentication SAML token with unicode values throwing error when post to _trust end point in SharePoint

    Hi All,
I have a SP2013 environment which authenticate users using ADFS 2.0 via Windows AD. We have two separate clients, Portal and Mobile. Portal users Passive Federation where as Mobile client uses Active Authentication with usernamemixed endpoint in ADFS.
I have an AD property which stores Unicode characters. In Active Authentication via Mobile, for a user who has a Unicode value in the AD property, I can get the SAML token successfully from ADFS.
    Ex : <saml:AttributeValue>español</saml:AttributeValue>
However, when I post this SAML token to SharePoint _trust endpoint, I'm getting an error "500 Internal Server error". However for the same user, if I change the AD property value from "español" to "English" then I can get the FedAuth
cookie successfully from the _trust endpoint.
Also, for the same user, If I logged in via Portal which uses Passive Federation, then it's working fine.
Really appreciate your thoughts on this.
    Supun

    Hi Supun,
As you mentioned, the issue only happens in Active authentication. Would you please let me know which mobile client your users are using for the Active authentication, is it a custom one? Please be noted if you use a mobile browser, the authentication will
    also be Passive.
In Passive mode authentication, STS also uses POST to pass the security token to the relaying party. I'd like to know what kind of tool you are using to post a SAML token to SharePoint endpoint as impersonation of an Active authentication. Since the Active
authentication flow is quite complex, I also suggest you to check the event log in your ADFS server, and try to find more information about the issue.
    Thanks,
