1. [email protected], you can go here to figure out your appleid/password, and reset if needed
2. iCloud.com, you can go here to get your numbers, but you will need your id/password.

I received a psd file created in CS6 for MAC, I am unable to find the layers when I open it in photoshop in Windows. What can i do to edit the files? What can be done so that I can either open and see the layers or how can the sender save it in a way that it doesn't "merge" the layers in some way to just one?
Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

Do applications from my previous mac all transfer to my new mac?
do applications from my previous macbook snowleopard transfer to my new mountian lion without my Microsoft Office software or do I need to have that installed first
Setup Assistant will transfer all your applications. That doesn't necessarily mean they will all work. PowerPC applications will not. Microsoft Office 2008 or later will, but it may need to be reactivated.

i bought some ringtones on my iPhone, later on i sync my iphone to my old computer now i have a new mac pro desktop and i only have 2 ringtones on my phone but not the rest of them how can i get them back without having to pay for them again?
If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

I have done my back up using time machine, now I have a new mac and I need to access the files that I had saved from my old mac. How can I do that?
Use Migration Assistant on your new Mac:
Click Continue:
On the next screen, choose your Time Machine backup disk.
Don't bother to migrate Applications unless you know they will work on your new Mac. For example, PowerPC applications won't work. Just migrate your user account which will copy all your photos, music, movies, and other documents.
Note: you will not be able to migrate the information to same account in which you are already logged in. Migration Assistant will tell you that and recommend what to do. It can migrate the information to a new account, but you will have to give it a name you might want to change later. One way around this is to create a temporary account, log in to it, and run Migration Assistant which will replace your normal account. Then, log out of the temporary account, log in to your usual one, verify everyting works as you expect, and delete the temporary one.
All this can be avoided when you set up a brand new Mac by running Setup Assistant which essentially does the same thing to create your new account, but most people are too excited to do that and elect to migrate later. -
I am using the old imovie HD on my old Mac laptop... it works fine, but when I export a video to YouTube there is a black frame around it.. how do i get rid of that? thanks!
Hi MyAppleID99,
You may want to check to make sure the clip hasn't been moved back and forth between wide screen and standard aspect ratios; sometimes a combination of letterboxing and pillarboxing can lead to a black frame "windowbox" when playing the final video. You may find the following article helpful:

Will old iMac problems transfer to the new one?
My present Intel iMac is having firewire issues and past its warranty, so I'm going for a new iMac. In an effort to try and salvage the old one I wiped everything clean, reinstalled the the OS and restored from a Time Machine backup. Now I'm having problems that weren't there before, like not being able to open Mail, iTunes, or Safari.
The new iMac arrives on Monday, but I'm worried that whatever is wrong with the old computer will transfer into the new one. Any ideas on how to avoid this? That's a good thought on the 3rd party apps. I'm taking inventory of all my disks and downloadable Apps now, and removing them so I can individually reinstall them on the new machine.
I checked out the permissions and everything seems to be OK. But still no luck on the those three apps. Mail opens, but crashes as soon as I try to read a message. And iTunes and Safari can't stay open at all. Interestingly enough, I'm trying other Mac apps like iCal, Garage Band and iPhoto and they're all still good. -
My old MacBook pro died, got a new Mac can I use my cs4 with my new computer?
MMy old MacBook pro died, got a new Mac, can I use my cs4 with my new computer? Do I need to buy a new license?
Using Time Machine, or any other such program, to transfer Adobe software from one machine to another works probably less than five percent of the time. Uninstall from your new machine. Run the cleaner tool (do a search for Cleaner Tool on this site if you don't know what it is). Then reinstall properly from original media or downloads.

I've successfully backed up my old iTunes (from version 7.02) to a DVD. I'm hoping to restore it to my new Macbook, but when inserting disc to iTunes 10.7. it tells me that I've inserted a blank disc so it does not suggest to restore the content. What to do? The back up has definitely been a success as when inserting disc back to the old Mac and iTunes7, it does recognize the disc and suggests to add contents to the library.

i set up my new computer using the apple ID i always use, and then later migrated all my files from my old mac book to the same new one, but under a different user (same apple ID). how do i consolidate the two users on my new mac book?
Well if you use the Finder Go menu to Computer, a window opens up double click on your boot drive and then on Users folder, open the other user folder and open Public and drop your files into DropBox
When you do this it will copy them and change the permissions and user assigned to it, so log into the other user and place them into your respective normal folders.
Once you have all your files over and don't need the old user, use System Preferences > Accounts to delete it if you wish, however it's good two Admin accounts on the machine in case something bad happens in the other. Some people for security reasons on use a Standard account for most uses and a emergency Admin account.
One can still do most Admin things in Standard user.
