I had an iPhone 5 and a friend of mine broke the screen to the point where I couldnt simply replace it. I had to get a new phone. Before doing this, I backed my phone up on my friend's computer because that is where I had been getting all of my music because I didn't have a computer at the time. I now live in another state and I finally replaced my iPhone. my friend emailed me my backup, and I downloaded it. I didn't have an app that could display the download so I downloaded iZip because that was one of the ones the app store recommended. I now can see the file that my friend sent me, but what do I do from here to get it on my phone? I tried simply dragging the file into iTunes, but that didn't work. I am not very savvy with this stuff, please help. I have no music, photos, anything.

Depending on what kind of computer you have, you're gonna need to put that backup in the appropriate folder or itunes is not gonna be able to see it for you to use.

the basic answer to moving photos is Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward. but you say you do not have the old computer
Unless you have a backup or there is more information the answer is there s no way now

When you say that you lost iTunes do you just mean the program or your content ? Have you checked to see if the content is still on your computer but not in iTunes ?
If not then do you not have a backup of your purchases on, for example, external drives or CDs or DVDs ? If you have then you can copy that onto your computer and add it back into iTunes. If you havn't then if they are still available in the iTunes store (and content is occasionally removed so you should make/maintain your own backups and not rely on re-downloading) and if you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, then you should be able to re-download apps and ibooks, and if you are in the US music and TV shows, for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . There is a command in iTunes that may be relevant
iTunes menu bar -> Store -> Check for Available Downloads
Also, if the album has been purchased, you can probably download it from the iTunes Store Purchased screen. This is the iTunes Store screen for downloading any previously purchased song (that is not already in your iTunes library). The Purchased screen is linked on the iTunes Store Home screen, under QUICK LINKS.

Try starting Aperture with the command and option keys held down. You'll get 3 options.

First, make sure the headphones plug is completely pushed into the headphones jack. Because the jack serves multiple functions, the fit may be tighter than expected (especially if you have the Apple EarPods).
Also, try using the headphones with another device, to rule out bad headphones. Or try another set of (known working) headphones with the shuffle.
Are you using older headphones that have remote control buttons? Not the latest EarPods and not the immediately previous version of white Apple earbuds. Or non-Apple headphones with remote control buttons. It's possible they are not compatible and interfering with the shuffle's operation. Any standard headphones (with no buttons) should work.
If that does not help, you can try doing a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to defaut settings. If a software (or settings) problem on the shuffle is the cause, the Restore should fix it.
Otherwise, if the Restore does not help, it may be a hardware problem. If it has been less than one year since purchase, it is under warranty.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
