I backed up my previous Ipad to my computer..

We have had this Ipad for about 6 months it started turning off so forth.. So I backed up the old ipad with apps, music so forth on 6/14. Took the ipad in we got a new one the old one wasn't working. Went to load what info, apps so forth from the old ipad because it shows i stored that info. But now i have not the same apps on the new one? I can redownload the apps but they are all brand NEW~~ It shows i backed up the old ipad? so why am I having to reload my apps from cloud? any suggestions?

You will need to restore the backup - just downloading the app from the store won't give you its contents from a preivous device, you will need to restore the whole backup onto your new iPad (which will replace its current contents) to get the app's content.

Not in the Safari browser she can't. That is not supported on the iPad. There are other mobile browsers that do have that functionality - one is iCab Mobile.

Sorry, no. If Facebook isn't compatible with the current iOS it's on Facebook to make its app compatible.
Have you tried to access facebook via safari? I personally abandoned the app years ago due to it being very buggy. I access it via safari with no issues

How to put the back up from my iPad 2 on my iPhone 5?!

So, just got a new iPhone 5 (previous couple were damaged/faulty). I am now trying to get it to sync all of my contacts, like I did with my iPad 2.
Now, I seem to find a whole host of iPhone back ups from previous, but not the recent iPad 2 back ups which contain all of my contacts.
I do not wish to replicate all of the music/photos/movies etc from my previous iPhone 4s as it was a 64gb whereas my new on is just 16gb and obviously it wouldn't all fit!
So, all I need is my contacts, but I can't figure out how to complete that task!

Easiest way to sync contacts between devices would be to use iCloud. Make sure all the contacts you want synced are in the iCloud group on your iPad, also make sure contacts under iCloud preferences is turned on for both the iPad and your iPhone. Assuming you are signed in with the same apple id on both devices they will sync right over.

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Seems silly to not allow a rollback from a file repository of previous app versions.

I'm not sure I follow, I have not sync'd the ipad with my computer. I just saw an update in the app store and took it.
I tried to del and install the app from the purchased tab in the app store, that reinstalled v2.1 of the app. This also fails to launch.
I have made two service requests to the developer, no response at this time.
Is there somewhere I can download and install Remote Files version 2 file? I can only find the new version 2.1 in the app store.

Just upgraded to the new ipad air from 1st generation ipad.
I backed up my old ipad to my mac book pro before I traded it in. Now I am installing all my previous apps onto my new ipad but it is taking forever. I had it plugged in overnight and it's still not done. Am I doing something wrong? I have the ipad plugged into my mac since I heard it was faster to download this way. I have approx. 75 apps to download. Will I just have to wait? Kinda frustrating but will be worth it. Any help is appreciated.
I am also new to the MacBook pro retina so maybe I am missing a setting or something I am not aware of.

- OSX: Maverick to Yosemite = not recommended (check it out > http://roaringapps.com/apps)
- iPad: older versions as iPad2 should not upgrade to iOS7/8 (it's not supporting its hardware accordingly, it's designed for the latest hardware)
- iTunes (it's possible to rollback to 10.7 - 11.4, but you need to breech OSX system security framework)
- Pages (was a real alternative for many of us, each update reduced features and created incompatibility to older work files)
