Your boxed version was probably 5.0 and since its release there have been seven free updates. If you haven't been updating you should now update it to 5.7.1.

LR 5 is now nearing the end of its life and it is unlikely that any new updates will be issued, however it will continue to function fully forever, as long as it is on an appropriate computer. There should be a 32-bit installer as well. It should be part of whatever installer package you have. I don't know if you are aware, but when Lightroom 6 is released there will be no 32-bit support for Windows or the Mac. But then, if you are still using Lightroom 3 that probably doesn't matter to you.

You would need to purchase CS5 for Mac OS.
Given that CS5 is now 4 versions back, it's unlikely you'll find a copy.
You could get DW CC from the Creative Cloud which supports both Win/Mac platforms.

Apple doesn't unlock phones. You will need to contact the original cellular provider to determine if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

I bought my 15" macbook pro just a year ago and my battery life runs out extremely quickly. This started maybe a month or two ago. Its hard to tell. I only noticed the rapid change recently. Fully charged it says I have 2:27 (2 hours and 27 minutes) of usage time...with about 50% screen and keyboard brightness.
I've checked inside system preferences and its cycle count is 261 and full charging cap is 6316.
I have apple care...is this something i can/need to take up with apple. You'd think if you pay the price for these machines you should get mroe use out of them.

do you have a mbp with dual video cards? running the system with the higher end card increases the heat and also drains batt power.
i have the 1st gen unibody (2008) with an original removable battery of 311 cycles and 4453 charge. under normal use ill be happy to get 1.5hrs. the mac battery counter thing says i have 3.3hrs though (whatever). compared to me, i think you use your battery more than i do, perhaps its the reason why it degraded so fast in a year?

How do I change the font size and color in a text box in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (ctrl e does not work)?

I need to mark up scanned pdf documents with text box comments. I can insert the text box and type text but I cannot change the font or color. When I press Crtl E, no tool bar appears in the menu bar. What does appear in the menu bar is "No current selection". Please advise.

I am already doing that: creating the text box, typing the text, selecting the text i.e. highlighting the text. This morning, for a scant minute, the properties tool bar appeared and I was able to refine the text in a text box. Then it disappeared never to be activated again this morning.
I work half of my weekly hours at this client office and I only have this problem on their pc and adobe software (version 9 pro). When I am home, my laptop and the adobe software (version 10 pro) is fine. I can create the text boxes and refine the format at will with no issues. Could it be a software version and/or update issue? Thanks for any assistance.

You don't transfer it. You install it and use the serial number from the original to activate it. You might be able to find your serial number in your Adobe account online if you registered the software when you previously installed it. You can download the software thru the page linked below.

Sent box mixed up - messages from a year ago 'sent' yesterday

My sent box seems corrupted - I have had this before on another mac. My sent box has messages from last year dated as being sent yesterday. I have tried 'rebuild' but nothing seems to happen. I am not aware of any viruses, all the messages appear to be genuine ones i wrote but some time in the past and not yesterday.
My IMac sent box is ok but Macbook is the troublesome one, any ideas?

GIve us your full model number, please. There are lots of dv6 models spanning years of production. Also you can open device manager and go into the usb section and see if you have a usb 3.0 controller. Lastly, CPU-Z is a free download and provides all kinds of hardware info on your computer.
