I bought a ipod at target and the screen shatered after three months who do i call about the warranty ?
i bought my ipod 5 g on october 26 2013 three months later it shatered because a bowel fell on it and its cracked every where on the screen . the screen has lines a 4 white boxs on it and can not be used . i was wondering if thier was a warrenty on it and for how long ? if thier is who can i talk to to get it repared ?
unless you have apple care you cannot get it fixed but you can get credit to buy another one, you could find a local company to replace the screen on your ipod but that would cost $100 plus, but this will void the ablility to trade it in later

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

If you still have the one 2G with the Netflix app, delete the new NetFlix app from her computer anf then transfer iTunes purchased to the iTunes library by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Then sync to her iPod. You may have to sign the iPod into the account that purchased it to sync it. -
Hi, Just bought an ipod classic 160gb and i notice that when I turn the volume down all the way, music is still heard, i.e. I cannot turn it down lower than a certain volume. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

I hope you bought this from a store, you can return it and get your money back. BUT if you bought from a person off the street or off the net, someone you don't know... I'm thinking you just got screwed! And are out the money and have an expensive paper weight. I hope I'm wrong, but I think you have a stolen iPod. If you can find the person that sold it to you return it and get your money back, but I'm thinking they are long gone. If you can not find the person report it to the police and turn it over. I have an iPod Touch 4G and i noticed soon after i bought it that the screen was slightly separated from the back metal plate on the top right corner, and I didn't have any problems up until a few days ago. The touch screen doesn't work properly in most places, and that is getting very annoying! So, my question is, can I get a replacement and if so which model would i get, the 4g or 5g?( I'm a little confused about which one I would get IF I were to get a replacement.) I would like an answer asap please!
If under warranty and not abused Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one of the same mode.. Sorry, no upgrade.

Bought my ipod touch 4g from apple's official reseller on 21st November 2012. Purchase slip says warranty ends on 20th November 2013. But apple website says its 19th November 2013 when I put in my ipod's serial number. Why is that? When I bought the ipod, the salesman told me that the latest ios is not installed, so I typed in my apple id and passowrd and opened the ipod, then they started donwloading the latest ios. During the download, I went out of the store for sometime, then i got back after 10 minutes and had to put my id/password again to begin with the new ios. Was my ipod exchange within this time? Not unless it was found to be defective, and that would not reset the warranty on the original serial number.

Sometimes it's just wrong. Perhaps the reseller entered in the sales date incorrectly. Call Apple support and discuss the problem with them. They may ask you to fax them a copy of your receipt.

You'll probably have difficulty convincing them that the scratch wasn't there when you brought it in, but you can go back to the store and talk to them about it.

Hi My grandparents just bought an iPod Touch for me from Dubai, UAE. I can't see any facetime on the home screen nor in the settings. I've read that it's not possible. But is it possible if I get my OS updated again from India?
There is no way you can activate Facetime on an iPod touch purchased in the UAE. The government there required Apple to lock off Facetime at the hardware level and there's no way to unlock it. Reinstalling iOS, regardless of country, will not help. If you want Facetime, you will need to sell your UAE-version iPod and buy one there in India.

The most likely problem is that the headset is not inserted fully. When you insert the headset, you should feel and hear a "Click" to let you know it is inserted all the way.
The problem is that if it is not inserted all the way, the nano does not detect it. If it is not detected, it will pause playback when the screen goes dark. This is to keep your battery from draining when there is nothing connected to listen to the music.

I got a 8gig ipod touch from a freind and all I get on the screen is a usb plug with an arrow pointing towards the itunes logo. How do I resolve this? I don't know what operating system it runs, or what year it was manufactured, it is a chrome one.

- Charge the iPod for half an hour. Then reset the iPod:
