Why do you need to access your email? To reset the password?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Can i stop the Erase all data and settings process for Iphone 3gs? It has been 4 hours and still not finished!

Hi, i just want to know if theres any way to just stop the erase all data and settings for my iphone 3gs it has been 4 hours and it still havent finished yet, still showing the black screen with an apple icon. Im getting so frustrated, is there any way to just stop the process and roll back the changes made? Would it do any harm if i press on my home key and power button the same time? Thanks!

Something has gone wrong, on an iPhone 3Gs the erase all operation should be instantaneous. Disconnect your phone & force it into recovery mode:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, select "new".

I can't erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. It says iCloud account not verified, when it only asks for my Apple ID to erase all data and content.

It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. If anybody could point me in the direction that would be really appreciated. Thanks

Does anyone know if you need to do the IOS update to be able to restore all data and content? I have not installed the new update on either of my iPhone 4S's yet.
The phone I am trying to reset was sold to me by a friend and when it was it had already been reset and it was on the language selection screen.

Hello there, can someone help me please. I erased all data and settings last night and now my IPAD just shows a line across it with the apple logo. It is not responding to the on / off switch. I have connected the IPAD to my laptop so i can reinitilise it but nothing is happening - it doesn't appear as a device on my laptop (the USB port is working OK) Has anyone else experienced this and how did you overcome it? This means I can't use the computer anymore. How do I fix? I tried using the Command+F2 keyboard shortcut, but it doesnt' work. It's possible that since I reinstalled the OS, it still needs to be set up, so there's only a welcome screen (but since I can't see it I'm not sure).
