I bought a new laptop and was trying to sync when I accidently erased all of my music, can I get it back?

Were the files erased from the internal drive (of the computer), or from the device? If they are no longer on the computer's HDD then you had better hope that you backed up your files with a Time Machine back up, a cloned copy of your hard drive or copies transferred to an separate external drive. If they have been erased from the device then it is a simple matter of loading them back to the iPod.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Is it possible to get iTunes to sync and match my iPhone? I recently bought a new Macbook and I transferred all of the music files on my old computer to the new one. I don't want all of the music files, only the ones also on my iPhone.

All media should be in the iTunes library on your computer.
Syncing is ONE way from computer to iPhone.
If the media was on your device, but not in your computer, then it's likely gone.
Do you have a backup of your media somewhere else? Like an external drive?

This will be the third Laptop that I have authorised but when I installed iTunes to it, my entire music library had disappeared, only purchased items were there. It's worked ok previously when I authorised the old Laptop so I am really confused as to where it's all gone. Unless you have subscribed to iTunes Match signing into your iTunes account on a new computer only gives you access to your past purchases. You need to migrate the iTunes library from your previous computer or recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

No, you can easily migrate your entire library from one working compter to another.
If you fail to backup or migrate your library and find yourself with nothing but a new empty computer and a device full of content iTunes is designed to only recover the iTunes purchased content, however third party tools can help recover everything if needed.

I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.

I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I need help with iTunes. I just bought a new laptop and I have a few questions

So I just bought a new laptop and few days ago. It's an HP. I have the iPhone 4 (8GB). So all my songs from iCloud are on my phone. I want to manually put them on my phone. All of my songs, videos, pictures etc. are on my new laptop. I went to apply the changes on iTunes when I selected "Manually manage music and videos". And a message came up saying "This iPhone is synced with another iTunes library on another PC. Do you want to choose to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?" Under that it says "Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
So what do I do? I don't want to click sync and loose everything on my phone. I will no longer use the other comuter. I really need help.

You should be able to copy iTunes purchased music from the phone via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases
If you still have your old computer and you haven't copied your library over form it, then there are also some methods listed on this page about how you could copy it over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 - the page refers to music, but I've used the home sharing method to copy apps, films etc between computers.

Copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the music folder) from your old computer to your new one, using one of the methods outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527.
