I bought a ringtone from Itunes, after I synched my Iphone 4, the ringtone is gone - why?

Does anyone know how to retrieve a purchased ringtone from Itunes?
I bought one last week, and after I synched my Iphone 4 my purchased ringtone is gone. I have the Itunes receipt, but keep getting caught in a big loop when I try to report a problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am having the same problem. I downloaded it from my 4S and my ITunes account shows it was downloaded. It's not listed in the ringtones on my 4S. When I open ITunes, and plug in my 4S, I can look at the media on my device. There is a checkmark next to it and a circle to the far left, but it is not on my phone. This has not happened before. Hopefully there will be an answer soon.

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

It is safe to download if your phone is not jailbroken. Before you download it, however, take some precautions:
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall
Connect the phone cable to a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub
Before updating right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "Backup"
When you are given the choice choose "Download only", not "Download and Update"
After the download completes successfully click the Update button to install it.
Most of these steps are just being overly cautious, as most people ignore them and have no problems. But occasionally the extra steps save grief.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

TS2988 I bought ringtones via Itunes and recently reset my iphone 5s the tones will no longer sync to my phone?

I bought ringtones a few months ago on my iphone 5s and I sync it regularly to my laptop. I recently reset it and the ringtones will no longer copy back to my phone and wont let me redownload them. Do I have to repurchase them or is there another way I can get them back??

I dont know if this will help.. but:
I had to plug my Iphone 5s into my laptop.
Open up Itunes
Click on the Iphone tab at the top
Let everything load
Click on "Summary" (mine was checked to only add selected options to my iphone)
Go to the "Tones" tab (to the right of the Summary tab)
Check if all your tones in your Itunes are checked (they won't sync if they arent checked)
Click "Apply" at the bottom right of that page (next to where it shows how much space you have left on your phone)
Click Sync
Hopefully they will now be added..

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store. Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.

After updating to iOS 8 all my playlists disappeared. After resetting my phone I restored from iCloud. All my apps synched, but none of my music that is checked to synch. Only music that synched was purchased. Playlists synched, but none of the music that was not purchased through iTunes.

Can you clarify the nature of your issue. iTunes match scans your iTunes library to determine what can be matched or needs to be uploaded.

Created Ringtone in Itunes but can't drag it to the ringtone folder?

I created a custom ringtone in Itunes and then tried to drag the file to the ringtones folder and it wouldn't copy over. The file is 23 sec, converted to acc etc so I don't understand why it won't drag into the ringtone folder?

How did you create the tone? Did you buy it off itunes or manually create it. If manually you have to put it into the ringtone folder on your hard drive, then it will show on the ringtones tab in itunes. (or at the least you have to import it in). Make sure it is also has the extension of .m4r
