I bought a song on iTunes from my iPod but I now on my iPod I can only play the song when I have iPod what should I do so it will play anytime like all my other songs?

Without a rescue email address, you can't reset them yourself. Nobody on these boards can reset them for you.

Had the same issue with my last 3 song downloads from iTunes. I can see the song in my playlist, but it wont play? I have been using iTues/iPods/iPads for 7 years and have never had this issue. Can someone help me?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

I don't think so - the 4G is newer and the prices have changed. You can always try, but i don't think you will get a brand new iPod... If they gave away iPods like that, they wouldn't make business...

Having itunes on your computer is a requirement of using the ipod touch.
You should probably focus on getting itunes onto your computer.

It sounds like you may want to setup Automatic Downloads for your purchases to download on your iOS device as well. The following Knowledge Base article offers the steps on how to turn that feature on:
Enable Automatic Downloads

Turn on Automatic Downloads on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store.
Sign in with your Apple ID if necessary.
Tap the content that you want to automatically download. If iBooks isn't listed, you need to download iBooksfrom the App Store.
You can turn Automatic Downloads on or off over your cellular network on an iPhone or iPad Wi-Fi + 3G. Go to Settings > Store and turn Cellular Data on or off. Cellular Data downloads are limited to a file size of 50 MB or smaller.
Additionally you can try downloading the content to your device using these steps as well:

What is the best iTunes alternative for a 4th Generation iPod Touch?

iTunes is the worst music application I have ever used and would love to be able to use a different application to sync music with. I have a really nice computer, but it is taking 10 times longer to sync music than Windows Media Player. I'm beginning to understand all the hate people have for Apple, besides how over-priced all their products are.

I'm guessing, since you mention Windows Media Player, that you have been using it for a while and have just bought yourself an iPod. In that case, you simply need to get used to iTunes, in the same way as a car driver needs to get used to a new vehicle or a new employee has to get used to the demands of his or her new job.
I find iTunes much better for managing the device it has been designed to work with (Apple products) than anything that other MP3 players or Portable Media Players use. Often the software used to manage other MP3 players isn't specifially designed for the device at all and it can be like forcing a round object into a square hole.
Try understanding how you can get can get the best out of iTunes instead of trying to make it do what Windows Media Player does.

It's not letting me play my songs in itunes. They are all listed but will not play

Why will itunes not let me play my songs? I see all my purchases listed in gray but it will not let me look at them or play them from my music.

If the problem is in the "Event" then it sounds as if the thumbnail files have become corrupted for some reason. You could try deleting them from the appropriate "iMovie Events" folder and then closing and re-opening the application. This will force the application to re-generate the thumbnails.

I added new songs in itunes and sync'd to ipod but the playlists that were changed are now in the wrong location. e.g. "Instrumental" playlist is now between letters M and N on my ipod, but in right location in itunes. How do I fix this?

This worked. Yesterday after I logged out - I continued to try to figure it out, and came up with the same solution. I made a smart playlist with both types.
However, I had tried to drop those into the green purchased file yesterday and it would not accept them. Today it works.
Guess it is like a car. It makes a noise, and when you take it to the dealer, it stops making that noise.
I went and looked at all of the songs I had purchased. Some of the more recent songs say Protected. The first five I purchased just say "AAC audio file" but if you look at them in their file, they have the little lock icon on them, as the purchased and protected ones do.. So I dunno... ??

I am trying to transfer songs from my ipod to my iphone but it says the songs can not be found on the ipod but I can play them on the ipod.

The iTunes library says I do not own them and they can not be found on my iPod. But I can still see and play the songs on the ipod. But when I try to sync them they do not appear.

It is not possible to sync music directly between an iPod and an iPhone. The music must be in an iTunes library and that must be used to sync the music to each device.
