I bought a used iPod off eBay and it has the other owners apple id on it so how do I change it to match my iPad that I own?

I bought a used iPod on eBay and the previous owners apple ID is still showing up so how do I change it to my existing apple id I already have?
When I go to the apple store it works but if I go to apps to download something it only shows the previous owners apple ID and I don't know where to go to change it to mine.

You would change it in settings.
You chould read the manual.
I would reccommend restoring as new.

It's easy to rename each unit. When you connect your iPad and it syncs, the unit will appear on the left of the iTUnes screens just click on the unit there and you can rename it. You should do this immediately so you can see which unit was backed up by it's name. You can sync as many decices as you want in one iTunes library and you can even share Apps as long as you're going to sync both from teh same iTunes account. My household has 2 iPad 2s and we share our apps, and we also share downloaded books, magazines, music, etc.......

You have probably been sold a previously stolen iPhone. It is Activation Locked as described here:

I saw cidya aap so i m not sure if it was jailbroken or not before but it is back to normal settings.
My problem started when I tried to sync my music files. I pressed 'sync' all it says is waiting for sync start, preparing to sync and then waiting for the changes to be applied. but it does not sync at all.
I found a way to sync my music files through autofill but I really wanted to sync ringtones but its not syncing and I really wanted to put ringtones in my phone please help.

If you see the cidya app, your iPhone is hacked with the cutsie term for this being jailbroken. This also means all the built in security has been removed making the iPhone as insecure as an android device.
Restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup to get rid of that hacking garbage. If the iPhone has hacked to be unlocked, the iPhone will no longer be unlocked when doing so.

Sorry, but your anger is 100% misdirected. Before Activation Lock, anyone could steal an iPhone (which happens every few minutes around the world), wipe it and set it up as their phone. How would you feel if your phone was stolen and you knew the thief could set it up?
Activation lock is just one of the great new features Apple has introduced in the last two years. You won't find a single person on this forum who thinks otherwise. If you live in California, ALL phones are going to be required to have a kill switch. ALL PHONES. That has been put in law by the California Legislature. Once activated, the kill switch will render that phone useless for all time.
If you have anyone you should be angry with it's ebay. They sold you a device you can't use and you need to return it to them and get a refund. Call them and complain until you reach someone who can fix this for you. You shouldn't be out $300. It's not your fault. But you can't be mad at Apple for what is clearly ebay's fault.

Bought a brand new sealed MBP off ebay but it has build defects, will Apple replace?

I recently bought a brand new sealed macbook pro from ebay from a top rated seller for £835 which was a good price considering it is was sealed etc. When I opened the box and took a real close look at the machine I noticed a few serious build faults.....
1. This is the most serious, when the laptop is closed the left side of the laptop is noticeably bent as if its been molded wrong or something, there are no impact marks whatsoever.
2. The track pad is supposed to be flush but mine dips slightly on the left side which is evident when you look closely and run your finger around the edge of the track pad.
3. There are two small scratches on the right side of the macbook.
4. The bottom plate is also supposed to be completely flush with the case but like the track pad mine is defective, it is flush on the right but not on the left.
One of the main reasons I went for a mbp is because of the reputation for quality, I bought this laptop from a reputable seller who has a very high feedback score and multiple comments from happy users who bought the same laptop I did, so I definitely know he was not selling faulty stock.
I rang Apple today and they said that they could not offer me a replacement as I bought it from a third party but they made an appointment at a store for tomorrow...
My question is .... do these defects fall under poor workmanship from Apple and should I be entitled to a replacement. The laptop was literally brand new and the warranty on it was registered on the 16th april by me on the day I received it..... I emailed the seller who then rang me within 20 minutes and he advised me to take it to an apple store and they will replace it as its not something that can be repaired. Please give me some advice. All advice is welcome.

First of all, if you would have bought that from Apple, you would have got a replacement right away--no questions asked. I just bought a new MacBook Pro and could have got it cheaper off eBay too, but i didn't want to go though a hassle like you are now.
Apple will repair it. The only way they will replace it, is if they can't get it fixed after 3 repair attempt. Keep all your case numbers. If for any reason you are not satisfied in the end, call Apple Customer Relations and deal with them--not support. Good luck!

I just bought a new album in itunes and accidently deleted the first track. when i go to redownload it from my cloud or purchases it tells me that the item cant be redownloaded on this device for 90 days?

i have two itunes accounts but i only use one to buy music. while on the account that i use for music, i bought a new album last night. i bought the album with my 5th gen ipod. after the album was done downloading i accidently side swiped over the first track and deleted it. when i went back to redownload the track the message "this computer is already associated with an apple id. you can download past purchases on this computer with just one apple id every 90 days. this computer can be used with a different apple id in 81 days." i do not understand why i cant redownload something i just purchased. please help.

You need to reconfigure the Expresses to rejoin the TC's network via a factory reset.

Based on the OS that it shipped with, the Mac, it's OS and the installed apps, such as iLife are all associated with the original owner's Apple ID. He was supposed to erase the Mac, reinstall the most recent version of the shipping OS and call Apple to request the Mac be disassociated from his Apple ID. You will have this type of issue until that has been done.

Used g5, erased hard drive still has the previous owner user account

I bought a used g5 and also got the original install disks. I used disk utility and erased the empty space. However when I inserted the install disk it says it will restart but it first wants the password. The previous owner cannot remember his password in the user accounts. When I try to re-install the OS it asks for the password first. How can I write over the user account or completely initialize the disk or do you have to have the password for that?

The previous owner has apparently implemented an Open Firmware Password without which you cannot boot the computer nor start it up from a CD/DVD installer. The previous owner needs to provide you that password. The OF Password is not the same as the user account password. Surely the previous owner could not forget the OF Password or he/she could never use the computer.
How were you able to "use Disk Utility" if you could not boot the computer?

After upgrading iOS5, my apps were deleted. Truing get them back, and only partially, the other apps, apple store is changing me again. Tried to restore and and sent an error. Now the Ipad won´t even boot. Can anyone help, besides Apple?

The iOS5 erased all my apps. Went to get them back and only part of it was recognized by Apple store. The others the store prompts to pay. I tried to go back to the old system and restore but as it was in sync an error ocurred and now I don´t have even the operating system. It won´t rebbot. I am afraid it will not stop searching the booting system until batery is dead and it will take many hours.
Any chance somenone ran into the same problem that could help?

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...
