I bought an album but i cant listen to it

I bought an album an hour ago and i cannot listen to it. I found the files on my computer and tried to convert it to itunes and also adding it to itunes but nothing. Then i noticed the files i downloaded had a lock icon on them. Why is this and why cant i listen to this. I just paid $10 for nothing.

Can you be specific about the artist and the CD name?
Also, is it a DualDisc? (CD on one side, DVD on the other)

I just bought an album but a screen came up saying that i need to verify my account through security questions. Initially I didnt get the answers right to the questions so itunes locked me out. When i went to see if the music downloaded, it didnt. But from the amount left on my giftcard, it's clear that the album had been bought. I looked in the "downloaded" section and cant find this album. I even tried rebuying the album to see if it would resume its download but it was going to completely rebuy it.

Try Store>Check for Available downloads
If this fails, then report the issue. They will resolve in a day or less.

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

If I bought an album but now want the deluxe version do i have to buy the whole album again because som of the material says album only. That would mean buying the same songs over again.

Delete the three tracks from your library, sending them to recycle bin, then download them again from your purchased history. If the problem persists use the "report a problem" links from your account history to contact the iTunes store support staff.

TS1362 I bought an album, but some of the songs purchased don't play fully

I bought an album off of the itunes store today, and while listening to a few found that some of the songs cut out mid song. The time on the top of the tunes continues, but no audio comes out.
How do I go about fixing this?

Delete the current copies of the songs from iTunes and then download again (free) from your purchased history.
If the problem persists contact iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

It tells me I have to authorize my computer, and after I authorize it, it says I've already authorized my computer. But the song still won't work! The rest of the album works fine.

and its going to say you have already purchased this item, Would you like to download it. CLICK YES!

Bought an album, but says my PC isn't connected?

I bought an album today through the iTunes store and it downloaded the entire thing. I go to play the album and it says I'm not connected to the internet, which I clearly am. I tried burning the album to a disc and it won't let me because it says the songs are not authorized to be burned to a file/disc.
If I go on my other computer, I'm going to have to buy the album all over again, aren't I? I'm not dishing out more money especially if I don't know that it's going to work.

If you're using vista make sure that you update to iTunes 7.1.1

Open iTunes.
Choose Authorize Computer from the Store menu in iTunes.
You might have to do step number 2: repair itunes.

i just bought my first album on itunes, it has 15 songs. however only 14 songs got transferred.

Okay so i bought 'smoke and mirrors' by imagine dragons and when the three songs that came out before the rest of it was released i could download those songs however now my itunes is telling me that i haven't bought it

You won't have bought the album when you pre-ordered the album, you are only charged when it's released - if you want to download the rest of the album then you will need a payment method on your account to purchase it (you should be charged the album's price minus the early released tracks)

I would be concerned too if one album was not syncing to my iPod. I found a couple of resources that I think might help.
First, if you are trying to drag the album over to your iPod in iTunes (manual syncing), verify that "Manually manage music and videos" is checked:

If you are syncing automatically, I recommend trying to resync. You can resync content to the iPod by unchecking "Sync Music" and then clicking "Apply" and then checking "Sync Music" and then clicking "Apply" again:
