Note: Apple Gift Cards cannot be redeemed at the iTunes Music Store. Purchase an iTunes Music Card instead. Apple reserves the right to change at any time the products you can purchase with gift cards and to limit the use of gift cards in its discretion. See the Gift Card Terms and Conditions, below.

    You will only be able to use one account at a time with the Apple TV. This will mean that you can only rent or purchase content from one account, you would need to log out and into the other account in order to rent or purchase from that.
    You should however, be able to use content from both accounts in iTunes on your computer, provided that the content from the account that you are not logged into is authorised to be played on that computer. Consequently you should be able to AirPlay content from both accounts to the Apple TV from iTunes or play content from both accounts via the computer section on the Apple TV.

    If you bought an Apple gift card, then you cannot use it in the iTunes store.  You can only use it in the Apple store for hardware.
    You would need an iTunes gift card to buy anything in iTunes

    i bought the card they send the code via E.mail but i but the recipient e.g.  ([email protected]) this one i did'nt used & then when i tried to activate the code to apple ID i used e.g ([email protected]) the system give me message (This code entered is not valid).

    The email address to which the code is sent makes no difference. If you're getting a "code is not valid", then either 1) you purchased from an Apple Store in a country other than your own, 2) you purchased an Apple Store gift card rather than an iTunes Store gift card, or 3) there was an error in generating the code.
    If you purchased the code from another country or you inadvertently purchased an Apple Store gift card, you cannot use it  - gift cards and codes are valid only in the country in which they are issued, and an Apple Store gift card cannot be used in the iTunes Store - and will need to sell the code to someone you know in the country whose Apple Store you purchased from, or who can use it in the Apple Store.
    If you are using the iTunes Store of the same country from which you purchased the code and it was definitely an iTunes gift card, call the Apple Store and discuss the problem with them.

    I think you'd have to redeem it via iTunes to credit your account but I'm not sure that AppleTv would use this credit or the payment method associated with the account.

    The only way to get rid of those little leftover balances is to make a request to iTunes Customer Service:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
    Once they get it zeroed out, you will be able to enter your new Swiss billing credentials.

    Expanding on what Niel said, you can neither use that card in the UK nor get Apple to convert it (and we're all just fellow users here, by the way). Give or sell the card to someone in the US.
