I bought an IPAD
I bought an Ipad from a friend and she told me to creat an account for the cloud thing and i did and it still asked for her password even after i deleted her and i also reset it...It still wont work..She dont have thjat email and forgot her password . it wont let me even download new apps it just wants her password dont have a way to switch to mine....neither one of us are good at this so now what?...please help.!!
If the apps were loaded with the old AppleID and password, they are forever locked to that ID. You cannot update them on your AppleID. Best solution is to simply delete the apps, hold your finger on one until they all start to jiggle and a black circle with an X in it appears on a corner of the apps. Tap the X on those you want to get rid of and they are gone.
Then download the apps you want on your AppleID and you will then be able to update them in the future.

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864. -
The last time I synced my iphone to itunes, I lost all my contact info, photos, calendar, and voice memos. This time I still have them, but I lost all the apps I had downloaded. Also, I just bought an ipad, and itunes does not recognize it.

I bought my IPad 2 from a friend. I have reset to clear all of his information out. I am trying to connect it to my computer to sync my itunes and I keep getting the message that my IPad can't be used because Apple Mobile Device Service is not started can anyone help with this?
I cannot find "Other" devices. I found Apple Mobile Device under Universal Bus Controllers but cannot see "recovery mode" or any other status. I use Windows Vista.
When I try to restart Apple Mobile Device Service I get the following message: "The Apple Mobile Device Service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". What does this mean?
During the last 48 hours I was able to see my iPad in iTunes only one time during many attemnpts to connect . I haven't been able to see it during the llast several attempts.
Any suggestions? The standard suggestions have not worked: i.e. stop then start AMDS; tuurn off iPad and PC, then restart both and reconfrom iPad to PC; reload iTunes. -
Need help please I just bought this iPad today and I factory reset it and then I plugged into my laptop and downloaded the latest software I went and purchased a app store card and a iTunes card but when I try to download apps it won't let me if anyone can help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. I bought my ipad in us, and has been using a pre paid card in purchasing applications. Now i already went back to bahrain, i am trying to purchase apllication using my bahrain credit card but it cannot get through as the default country is USA.
I tried to change my country but a message says i have a store credit balance and must spend it before changing store. But how i can spend it i only have 8 cents left?

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that fixes it ? You might be able to get warranty service in Egypt for your iPad, but the warranty includes :

I recently bought an ipad 2 and wanted to use all the apps on my iphone4 on my ipad but have been charged for the first app I downloaded when I use the same apple id. What should I have done to share the apps and should I have been charged? 2 months ago when I got a new iphone, i was told in order to get all my apps back as I hadn't backed up my files, if I used the same apple id I would 'purchase' the app, but then would not be charged as apple would recognise that I have already purchased the app. That worked, but when I did the same thing on my ipad 2 using the same apple Id, I was charged... what should I have done and is this right as I thought the whole point of having multiple apple devices was I could share apps between devices. please help! thanks.
Using the same Apple id and Password you should be able to download purchased apps without being charged again.

Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases! It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'! -

I have my own apple ID now, and I download apps and songs from Itunes all the time on my own id. However her I cloud is on my ipad. I need my own I cloud for work purposes and when I try to change the apple ID in setting for her I cloud its grayed out... How can I have my own i cloud on my ipad. Originally when she bought the Ipad, she set it up on her ID, She used the ipad for awhile before she got a new one. I am using this one now. She can track my ipad if I loose it. Yes of course. Jsut go to "Settings > iCloud" delete her account from your device and then start creating a new one just for you.

Remember - if you bought any apps with another ID you cannot update them with a different ID.
Try changing the ID in the App Store. Tap on Featured - swipe to the bottom of the screen - tap on the ID in the bottom left corner - and see if you can change it that way.
If that doesn't work, sign out of your account altogether, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
I guess I should ask - what ID is it coming up with and why is it coming up with that ID?

Apple will not provide that information unless order to do so by a court order. Your only option at this point is to return it to the intermediary and get your money back. They should not have sold you a locked device. Then don't buy another device without confirming that it isn't locked, as explained under "how do I check for activation lock before buying a used device" in this article: Find My iPhone Activation Lock.

On your Mac, try to access your gmail account. There should be a link you click for "Forgot My Password". Click it and try to retrieve your password.

When I bought my ipad I used my family apple id that allowed us to share the itunes and pay with one card. (mine). now my sone's apple id is connected to my ipad and I cannot change the password, nor purchase a book. I have reset my password and have my own apple id. How do I link it on the ipiad with the itunes etc? I am willing to "lose" the music I have purchased on my itunes account if that is what must happen. I believe that is why I did it in the first place but now I regret that choice.
Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

I want to purchase apps and because I reside in CHina the options for payment are Chinese banks and yet I hold an international credit card. I want to pay for my apps and unfortunately because I am not a Chinese citizen, I don't hold a local credit card but debit cards, does it mean I can't use my international British bank credit card to buy apps in China, as I also bought my IPad in China. The prompts for payment don't give me an option of international banks, but local Chinese. Please help me as I would love to have freedom to use my IPad and be able to purchase apps I want.
