I bought an iphone 4 16gb and have had it for about 2 months and ever since I bought it, there has always been something wrong with it and now it just doesnt work at all. As a 16 year old not earning enough I haven't taken out insurance and I don't have a recipt of purchase, is there anyway possible I could get a replacement?
As you have really provided no information about the issues, all we can really suggest is basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide. That would be reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
The iPhone comes with a one year warranty when purchased new. If the above does not resolve and for some reason you cannot be bothered to explain these "issues", take the device to Apple for evaluation.

16 GB is a rounded up or rounded down value -- it makes it easier when advertising a product. I don't have an iPhone but almost always it is a rounded up value, so you start off with a bit less.
See the link by Stedman1 about how computer mathematics makes this less. When advertising they use 16 GB in base ten terms, but when your device uses base 2 which means it is shown as less.
Don't forget simply formatting a drive for use in an electronic device will use some space. No files on it yet that you see.
Your phone comes with some version of iOS. This will take up space and that is not factored in advertising a device.
This kind of space reporting has taken place since the first computers were sold. It's nothing new and all electronics manufacturers do it. -

This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

Did you put a screen protector on the phone or did you pull the protective film off the phone?

BlessI am having the same problem...no verification email. It's kind of ridiculous to get a new iPhone and I can't even get it set up properly because I am waiting for a verification email for hours... GRRRR. I have asked for it to be resent several times.

I would guess the fan is the cause of the noise. Suggest you take a look at it.

I currently am running 10.5.8 and I need to update to atleast 10.6.8. Just wondering if I need to purchase it from apple or if there is an easy/free way to update it.

Days ago before buying a new SIM Card, iTunes found new update IOS 7.0.4 and after installing the update my iPhone restarted and started to take me through activation... The activation needed a SIM Card so I bought Telefonica O2 SIM Card and I tried to continue the activation... My iPhone was connected to a wifi internet when I tried to activate it and when I tried activation by iTunes I was using my laptop with windows 7 which was connected to internet by cable.
I updated my iPhone to IOS 7 when I was in Egypt and I had no problems with updating it and I can't remember if finding my iPhone option was on or off before updating to IOS 7 and as i understood from searching internet that to use iCloud Finder on web from computer to find my iPhone it should be set up already on my iPhone and I didn't set up iCloud on my iPhone before and my Apple ID wasn't verified for iCloud till today, I verfied it by logging in iCloud from a friend iPad.
I was considering already the option that my iPhone has been hacked but if this happened so how I would unlock my iPhone and activate it to back to work? who would help me with that? I'm so tired of being without my phone for almost 4 days and I started to consider not having any Apple product anymore... I think that this way to secure the consumer has a lot of conflicts... -

ThanksWithout contract is not the same as unlocked. The update to iOS 7 relocked
the iPhone to the wireless carrier to which it was originally locked. You must
contact that wireless carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
If you used jailbreak or other hack to unlock the iPhone initially, the method
used may prevent a legitimate unlock from succeeding and may render your
iPhone unuseable. -

Apple did not begin selling an unlocked version of the iPhone 4S in the US until 11/11/11. I believe it went on sale only through the online store at that time. I'm not sure if it's available at retail yet.
What you purchased was a phone without a contract commitment. It is still locked to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason. Return it and get your money back, then use that to purchase an unlocked phone. -

when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt
