I bought an iPhone in Australia and now I cannot use it in South Africa as the Vodacom network cannot assist me by getting internet on the phone as the settings are different. What should I do to get the phone working in South Africa?
I need to know how I can get my iPhone to work in South Africa. I used it in Australia and was told I could use it in SA...but now I am told the settings are different and therefor I cannot get the internet to work on my iphone. How can I get this working?

Contact the carrier in the UK that the phone is locked to and put in an unlock request.
This is the only thing that you can do and the carrier to which the phone is locked to are the only ones that can unlock the phone for you - nobody else can.

If they won't or simply don't do that under any circumstances, then there is nothing to be done about it. You can still use it in Germany, but you'll pay roaming fees. Unless, of course, Vodofone offers some kind of package or deal for long term travelers - worth asking them about it.
An alternative would be to see if you could rent/lease a phone for the 5 months in Germany. I've never done it, but there are companies that rent phones for such periods for travelers.

Right click and "Show Package Contents" on your iPhoto Library file, it's actually a folder and inside is a folder called Originals, use the Finder to Duplicate that and move OriginalsCopy out to a safe place..
Rebuild the iPhoto database, see if that corrects your problem.

I have the iPhone 4S and I cannot get my apps to download. I will click free then install and then it will ask for my password. Once I enter my password correctly it will verify my password an then it won't do anything. what should I do?
I just went through this same process.... I changed my credit card, double checked billing info, changed my password, I restored my phone, but the misake I made was I kept restoring it from my back up.... Finally I went to Apple Store.. and sad to say that you have to do a restore, and DO NOT restore from back up.
I used Gmail so I didnt loose contacts or email.. but I did loose all my text messages and history of that.
So, I had the EXACT same problem and it was a software issue.. you have to restore your phone to factory settings and start all over.. BLOWS I know! -

sounds like you broke the display when you dropped it. There's nothing we users here can do for you.
Since the iPhone warranty does not cover accidental damage, you will have to pay to have your phone repaired or replaced. You can bring it into Apple for an out of warranty exchange in the country of purchase, or you can find a 3rd party iPhone repair store in your area. -

Hi Everyone. I tried everything and in the end I went to apple and in 5mins problem was solved - they gave me a new (refurb) iphone.
So to everyone with the same issues the only way to salvage ur iphone is to get a new one. Best bit was that i came with ios 5.1.1 and i am stcking with it!

I have no idea why it went gone missing.I have tried to signing in the app store several times but stil it doesn't show the GAMES catogery. Help me out.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -

It turned on, I chose English, Australia, and now, I am unable to connect/activate my iPhone through Wi-Fi, and for an unknown reason, it will not allow me to use cellular data or iTunes. In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi.
