If you don't have the Mac files with the disc you can probably still download the installation files and use your serial number from the purchase to activate. Here is a link to CS6 downloads:

You should check with Adobe support regarding getting the disc copy of the files if that is what you purchased, unless they know something that would result in the files already being in your possession thru that disc somehow.

I need help from some Apple people. I have an iPod Touch and I wanted to load it up with some fresh music but I currently don't have a PC. I found an app that would allow me to connect to my 2TB network drive directly and I was able to transfer a bunch of music files to the iPod. Unfortunately, these new files do not show under the Music app and I can't seem to find any way to convince the iPod that they are music. I can play them through the file manager only. Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?
You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

I have a 27" imac that was running 10.6. Now that I upgraded to 10.7, it thinks it's a 24" for some reason and the resolution differential is making my mouse track annoying slow while inside programs. (But not on the desktop, oddly.)

I've been working on a newsletter and have the final version. But I wanted to check something in a verssion I did last week. If I choose the day in Time Machine, is there any way I can view that document without "restoring" it to replace the final version?
You can drag and drop a file from TM to the desktop.
Let's say your newsletter is on the desktop. First thing to do is to add something to the file name, say Newsletter_1.
Next open TM as if it is just another external drive by double clicking the icon. (This is not the same as "Enter Time Machine" which you do when you want to restore.) The file hierachy in TM follows the same logic as on your hard drive. Navigate to the date you want, find the file you want, and drag and drop it where you want it to be. Because you changed the name of the most recent version you can both files in the same space.
I do this often.
But remember if you make a back up now you will end up with both versions in TM. -
I had an issue running Bridge CS6 on my laptop yesterday and after failing to troubleshoot I un-installed it from my system but have yet to find any way to download/reinstall it. I have web design premium and tried uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop and illutsrator as I'd seen bridge was coupled with those but had no luck. Is it possible to download bridge as a stand alone with a web design premium license for cs6

DetailsWhat you should see on a restart is a black screen followed by a screen with the Apple (at which point you let go of the two buttons). There is no progress bar, just the Apple. The Apple will stay there for 15 seconds or so, then the "Slide to Unlock" screen will redisplay.
But, I don't think the reset will fix it for you. I just tested it, and it comes back on with the zoom still on. The only way to get it to zoom out is the tapping with the 3 fingers.
I said to double-tap....MY BAD! You need to triple-tap with three fingers!
Try that and see if it will display the zoom menu for you, or if it will zoom back out.

Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.

I bought an external hard drive for backups to use with Time Machine, but however when I try to connect it with the other windows laptop it doesn't work ? intact it doesn't work on any other device except my MAC ?
Do not worry about it.
Time Machine needs that your external drive is formatted in HFS+, or better known as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". This filesystem is used by Apple on Macs and Windows cannot read or write drives formatted with this filesystem, being this the reason why all your devices do not read the external drive except your Mac.
You can only use your external drive to make Time Machine drives. If you store anything different, you may damage the Time Machine structure, so it is better not to use it as a drive to store other data. Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. It could be as simple as having two different file extentions jpg vs jpeg. As for the emails, that may depend on how you are attaching them to the email.
In most email programs you can open a new document then choose file attach or file import. Former would be attachments or links and the latter would be embedded.
On windows systems you can also send images to the email app, in the explorer right clicking and sending would open a small app that will resize the image to reduce the file size. This app could in theory squish the image. -
I have just got an iPad and I want the music to be transferred through my iPod touch using iCloud but I didn't get the music from iTunes so I don't think it will let me do it. Do you have any tips that could help me?
Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from a computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing. If you want to remove them all then normally you could just sync an empty folder (in terms of photos) to the iPad, but as you don't want to sync at the moment you can't do that.
You can reset the iPad back to factory settings and start from scratch with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings -

It sounds like the Cloud managed to work its way into your system and take over the CS6 applications. If you are happy with CS6 and don't want to afford the Cloud your license is likely as good as ever. You just need to get the Cloud's claws out of your system.

Aside: I was trying to update one of my CS6 applications thru the Application Manager last week and I decided afterwards I would try to update the manager since it seemed to get stuck. I clicked a prompt without reading closely, turned away and returned to find the Application Manager was replaced with the Cloud Manager... which I guess is the latest update for it. A similar thing happened on my previous machine and I was not happy with it because my other machine was not spec'd for the Cloud and it ended up resetting all my preferences. So this time I immediately uninstalled it and decided I can live without it. If I need any updates I'll look for them myself. -
MacBook pro can't find any wifi networks. HELP PLEASE
Ok so my late 2011 MacBook pro15" starTed dropping out of my network every now and then. Rebooting it got it hooked back up again. Now just a few weeks ago its not picking up any real wifi networks (according to my phone and what my computer showed me before there's a bunch in range). It shows this network called setup as the only wifi network in range and when I click on it, there is this little grey picture of a computer where the wifi bars should be.
Xbox, phone and all of the roommates devices are hooked up just fine.
I've taken it out to a couple of coffee shops and its the same thing. Either seeing no networks or that setup thing.
I've tried restarting, verify and repair disk, deleting all of my preferred networks. I don't know what else to do.Also I've tried to use one of those usb WiFi adapters that essentially bypasses the computers airport card. That shows all the networks in range but will fail to connect to any of them.
