I bought iPhone 4 today I cut my sim card to micro chip so I lost my contacts how to get it back?
I had a nokia basic model ,today I bought a iPhone 4so I need to cut my sim card to put into iPhone ,so I lost my contacts which I had earlier in my sim card.
So how to get back my contacts

Your only option is to contact the carrier it's locked to and enquire if they will provide authorized unlocking. Not all carriers will unlock and those that do usually have requirements and qualifications - i.e. you have to be a current or former customer in good standing. -

When I went to my local phone store in Greece, I was told this iPhone will not take a Greek sim card.
Now I have this very expensive phone which I cannot use in the place where I live.

I am certain that this phone is legitimately unlocked,
unless I was handed a locked by mistake, but I really doubt that.
I emphasized to them where I was taking the phone, small island in Aegean, far from apple stores and assistance, also emphasized my weak computer knowledge.
So far, I have only gone to the one local electronics store which services the national phone company.
There is also a Vodaphone outlet, where I will have an exploratory conversation, as soon as possible,
I also have yet to make it to the somewhat vestigial office of the national phone company.

I have just moved to Spain and out in a Spanish sim into my Irish bought iPhone 4. It says 'invalid sim' and 'no service'. The phone is not locked to any provider. I have been told that its a handset issue. Please advise.
1). Are you positive the phone is not locked? Where did you buy it? Did you get it unlocked from your original carrier? Only Apple sells unlocked phones in most countries.
2). Did you try with a diffrent SIM. MAybe the one you have is defective.
3). Does the Spnaish carrier you are using support the iPhone? Who told you it is a handset issue? -

Exactly, what do you mean by "does not accept sim card"? Are you saying you purchased a carrier locked iPhone & you can't use a sim from a different carrier? If so, that's the way it works. Carrier locked iPhones can only be used/activated on the carrier's network the phone is locked to. Either return it for a refund or contact the carrier the phone is locked to to see if they offer official unlocking.

Insert a SIM card. If the phone is carrier locked, it must be from the correct carrier. You MUST have a SIM card present to activate the device. The SIM does NOT have to be "live". That is to say, the account it is/was tied to, does not have to be active.

IPhone WiFi doesn't work without SIM card?
So today I took the SIM card out of my old 2G phone (which I use as a iPod Touch). I noticed that it no longer worked on WiFi. Once I put the SIM card back in, it worked again.
It's not a big deal (just leave the old SIM card in), but is that behaviour expected?

You may want to reset network settings or restore the iPhone.
I just took the SIM out of an iPhone 3G and an original iPhone. They were both able to browse web pages without the SIM inserted.

Hi, i am going to buy and iPhone 5 in france but it says its an unlocked iphone so i guess if i take it to Ecuador (my country) the iPhone is gonna work with a sim card from Ecuador right¿
If the receipt says "unlocked" (and not "SIM free") then it will work anywhere in the world that there is a GSM network. However, if it ever needs repair you will have to take it back to France.

The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

i Was considerinf buying a macbook pro, but am reconsidering spending such an amount of money on a company that can screw up such a basic function. I mean you can have your iOS 8 back if this is what it means, I don't want to use your health Kit app.You cannot 'roll back' your iOS. That's never been supported or allowed by Apple (with only one exception).

It's not the iOS. It may be a setting on your iPhone or the wi-fi network, or a hardware issue. But it's not the iOS. If it was, then everyone's iPhone 5S using the same iOS would not be working, and that's not the case.

I added items to my iPad calendar yesterday but they wouldn't copy into the calendar on my IPhone. I switched both devices off and on again but to no avail. The calendars were all ticked the same. I have now deleted the iCloud calendar from the iPhone but don't know how to get it back.
