Only Orange Jordan can unlock this phone for you, provided that they offer this service. You can't use UAE SIM in this phone or it will get locked.
If Orange Jordan doesn't offer unlocking, then your best shot is to sell your phone in Jordan and buy a new one from UAE.

They either need to provide you with the ID and password to delete the existing account, or erase the device and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515. I'm sorry but I don't have an answer for you... But I do have a couple of questions that may help others to help you! Was it necessary for you to get a new sim? I'm guessing yes or you would not have done that. You might want to try calling Orange and asking them to unlock it, they might ask you to connect it to your PC and use ITunes with it. Tunes will then say Congrats! Your IPhone Is UNLOCKED! I did this in the US with an OLD iPhone 3 first they asked me a serial number and other info and it worked like a charm. But the thing is Orange [or Apple] must be satisfied that the phone's contract obligations have been fulfilled. I know this is complicated and a pain in the butt, but if it's a dead phone now I would give it a shot. Oh BTW I believe here in the US it's no longer against the law to unlock a phone, apparently the law was changed, not sure about this though... Good luck!

The warranty is not and has never been International. Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin. The only exception is for devices sold in the EU where the EU is treated as one country for warranty and support purposes.

You can find your SIM card PIN in My Verizon if you’ve forgotten it. Or, if you’ve entered your SIM card PIN unsuccessfully 3 times, you’ll need the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) to unlock your SIM card again. After using the PUK, you’ll need to create a new PIN for your SIM card if you want to secure it again.
To locate the SIM PIN / PUK numbers for your 4G LTE SIM card:
Navigate to the Overview page in My Verizon.
Click My PIN and Unblocking Key (PUK) under About My Device.
Your default PIN and PUK will be displayed in a pop-up window.
Click Close when you’re finished to return to the My Verizon Overview page.

You may try 3rd party softwares like Viber or Skype which support video calling both over WIFI and on 3G, unlike FT calling which can only be done over WIFI.
And if the FT feature is so important for you, you can sell this phone and buy a factory unlocked iPhone of a country where FT is not blocked by law. (Avoid Model #s ending with AE & AB). -

device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some

If they won't or simply don't do that under any circumstances, then there is nothing to be done about it. You can still use it in Germany, but you'll pay roaming fees. Unless, of course, Vodofone offers some kind of package or deal for long term travelers - worth asking them about it.
An alternative would be to see if you could rent/lease a phone for the 5 months in Germany. I've never done it, but there are companies that rent phones for such periods for travelers.

Yes, I bought iPhone 5s from Apple.com/uk and paid full price(no contracts, not pay as you go). From your reply I take it that it wont be locked on O2 even though my first sim used on the device was on O2. This is helpful to know, I will change it with a new sim from 3 and see (definitely will switch off while doing so). Thanks for your suggestion. After changing the sim probably in a few days time, I will confirm to you again.

If it's still asking for the seller's Apple ID and password, then he most likely did not actually remove the iPhone from iCloud. If the problem persists, return the iPhone and get your money back. The seller can figure out the problem and resell the iPhone later.
