I bought my macbook pro in june from singapore, am I entitled to the free lion upgrade?

I have tried the link to register http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/ but it seems to only accept US users. Am I entitled to the upgrade since I bought my macbook pro from singapore?

The Mid-2007 model didn't come out until June 2007, so you must have bought an earlier model. It won't run Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.x), but it might run Lion (10.7.x) if you can get hold of a copy, depending on which earlier model it is.
Lion requires at least a Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The first MacBook Pros came out in January 2006, but they had "Core Duo" processors (no "2"). The Core 2 Duo MacBook Pros came out in October 2006. You could have bought either in March 2007.

I bought my macbook pro on August 2011 at an apple store, with the Intel i7. However mirrorring in not working with two of my Apple TVs. These Apple TVs are 2nd and 3rd generation loaded with the latest software. I can succesfully transmit from my itunes on my Macbook pro to both Apple TVs, but I can not see the airplay icon on the taskbar. Can someone help?

    About AirPlay and Airplay Mirroring
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot.

  • I bought a Macbook Pro second hand and their is a line on the screen, what is the best way to fix this?

I bought a macbook pro from a cash converters store. It was online and in the description didn't mention anything about this issue. I can't really explain it very well so here is a picture.
    http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz318/donnam1993/photo-2.jpg
Is there any way to fix this, if at all? I don't really know very much about macbooks and since i just got this yesterday i have no idea what caused this. Thank you very much for your help.

It's difficult to determine if your photograph shows a smudge on the exterior of the display, or if it is a display anomaly. Turn up the brightness. If the image changes it's a display problem.
You can clean the first one, but if it's the latter it is a hardware defect that will require parts, tools, labor or money to fix.

  • Bought a MacBook Pro for granddaughter for college and she cannot access the app store to purchase apps needed for class. Always gets security questions that she did not set up and therefore she is denied access. But it does show her redeemable balance.

I bought a 13" MacBook Pro for our college bound granddaughter. She cannot access the app store as she
gets security questions to answer that she never set up, and of course it won't let her purchase anything. She has
a redeemable balance, but can't get past the security questions and can't seem to find another way to circumvent this.
    What can she do?

If she has trouble with the first advisor, she can always ask to speak to a senior advisor. However, AppleCare isn't really needed in cases like this, as the iTunes Store is quite familiar with accounts of this nature, and it's more of their speciality. Your daughter may want to contact them next time, but it's only email support at the moment (soon to change).

  • I bought a macbook pro in June and there is no IDVD on it

How do I get the Idvd for my new macbook pro

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
iDVD was discontinued with iLife '11, so it's not preinstalled on new Macs. To get iDVD, you have to purchase iLife '11 on a disc on Amazon, and install iDVD from it > http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MC623Z-A-iLife-VERSION/dp/B003XKRZES/ref=sr_1_1?ie=U TF8&qid=1358591003&sr=8-1&keywords=ilife

  • I bought my Macbook pro on June 19, but the up to date program says that my computer is over the 30 days. What now?

I've tried very hard to get the new X OS Lion, but I can't get the download to work. Now what do I do?

Did you purchase your Mac from the Apple store? Try this click on your Apple menu then select about this Mac, when the window opens copy the serial number by selecting it then clicking the edit menu item then select copy, go bac to your browser and paste the number into the box then try it.

  • I just bought a macbook pro. I currently have a G4. What is the best method to move all my data to my new computer?

My main concern are songs that I imported from cd's.

Don't use migration/setup assistant.  Going from a PowerPC G4 to an Intel-based system is best handled outside of migration assistant.  It's not difficult (I've done several of these conversions).

  • HT1630 I have just bought my MacBook Pro 15" Retina new this week. When storing the charger I wrapped it as described on the support page, but now I've noticed that in some places in the power cord (charger to MacBook) there are small lumps.

It looks like the strains are unwrapping in its isolating sleeve. By twisting the cord you can get the lump out, but when you then want to store it and wrap it around the charger the lumps come back because the cable is twisted in an other direction.

IMHO the worst way to store, transport, any Mac notebook charger is to wrap the cord around the transformer block as described on the Apple website and documentation. This only leads to the cord braking and as you have noticed some lumps.
I wrap the cord around my hand loosely in big loops never putting any strain on either end of it. I also let the cord hang loose before I start wrapping it around my hand. This allows the cord to twist naturally as I wrap. When un-wrapping I also hold it up to let all the twists work there way out. This has worked for me with all the AC adapters for Mac computers I've owned.

  • I bought a macbook pro on 10/6

    Hi there,
I bought a macbook pro on 10/6 and today i just saw the new upgrade macbook. I would want to bring my macbook to the apple store for the upgrade but i came to jakarta, Indonesia that day. Is there anyway i can still get the upgrade??? Please help me!! thanks.

I am pointing any fingers, i was just looking for my best interest. Apple does have 14 day return policy, and i bought my macbook just one week prior to the upgrade. That was why i was hoping that i might somehow exchange for the newer model. When i bought my macbook I did ask the apple store about the possibility of new model be out anytime soon. Apple store told me that i can exchange for a new one if the new macbooks are introduced within 14 days from my purchased date.

  • TS1702 So I Just Bought A MacBook Pro...

So I Just Bought A MacBook Pro And It Wont Let Me Download Any of the music i already bought. What Do I Do? It Keeps Telling me that i need to authorise my computer But Wont Let Me Know How To Do that. What Do I Do?

    Authorization and Deauthorization
Macs:  iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
