Are using Apple's camera connection kit with the SD reader that came with the kit, or are you using a third-party kit ? Also what type of card are you using : SD, SDHC, SDXC ?
The message doesn't relate to the battery level of the iPad. Only a relatively small amount of power is supplied to the iPad's dock (it used to be higher), so a lot of other card readers can't be used with the kit because they require more power in order to operate.

    I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
    I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
    I tried to uninstall the application  but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
    Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.

    Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

    Thanks, for info, iPod Classic is a slower machine compared the Nano, unfortunately, if you read these discussions, majority of the freezes involved iTunes 10. Although if might be just slow and some impatient user just disconnect the iPod ands cause more problems. ( Yes I also did that but safely by doing a iPod Hard Reset, before disconnecting).

    Antivirus has a tendency to freeze iTunes sync Operation with iPod Classic, causing a timeout, which corrupt your iPod filesystem, so when iTunes can't read the iPod, it is pointing to this problem. Other causes is when your iPod hardisk is dying, or your battery is dying causing hardisk crashes.
    My suggestion.
    Connect your iPod to the PC and run chkdsk, to fix any iPod diskerror, then disconnect it, after chkdsk complete.
    Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
    Stop the Antivirus program
    Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC, do not use any USB Hub.
    When iTunes Open up, Restore your iPod please, this is for iTunes to map correctly, to fix the corrupted filesystem.
    When Restore complete, eject the iPod and reconnect again.
    Sync your ipod, preferably manually Manage in small batches and disconnect after every batch, to check that all is well.
    When all sync is complete, and iPod disconnected, start back your Antivirus and connect back the Internet.

    The error message is misleading, the problem is that you need WRITE privileges added to the destination directory tree.
    Assuming you are using the "date" structure that LR defaults to, find the directory that contains the 2014 folder (the one that works) and add WRITE rights to the parent of "2014".
    While you are there, if you want, add "2015" folder to beside "2014" and add READ and WRITE rights to that new directory.

    Unfortunately, the warranty is NOT international. You will have to send the defective phone to someone in the U.S. and ask them to take it into the Apple Store for replacement, then have them ship it back to you. Apple will not accept the International shipment, nor will they ship a replacement phone out of the country where it has warranty coverage.
    There are 4 carriers in Brazil who sell the iPhone, including one which sells it completely unlocked. You probably would have been better off to purchase them there if that's where you live.

    iCloud email addresses (@mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com) require SSL. Is your address an iCloud address or someone else?

    Are you getting this messages in iPhoto? If so try the following (again?):
    Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.  Then log back in and re-enable, respectively.  That should jump start Photo Stream.

    Resizing the partition does not work for me and I get the error "MediaKit reports no such partition" probably because I installed linux in dual boot and the disk manager is lost.
    Anyway to tell the yosemite installer that it should not pay attention whether the disk is bootable or not ?
    If I am doomed, any way to delete the installer and downloaded OS from my hard drive ?

    As usual, the Linux installer wrecked the partition table. You would have to boot from your OS X installation disc and repartition. Doing so will of course remove all data from the drive, so you must back up first if you haven't already done so.

  • Javaw does not work for my SWING application

    Dear all,
    I try to use 'javaw ClassName' (from a batch test.bat) to hide command prompt window when a Swing application starts. Unfortunately, the CMD still appears. So I recommend the command java and javaw has no difference in my situation.
    I use jdk1.6.0_02 runs on Windows XP Prof Service Pack 2.
    Could anyone give me some hint please?

    In my case, it does not require any web server. I could not use javaws.
    There is way work around by using Runtime.exec(). The MS Windows CMD hides when I double click the start.bat file.

    We have been attempting to manage a Windows 8.1 machine by using the Enterprise Device Management Protocol.
    We are encountering a failure during the process and would like to inspect what is going wrong on the Client Side. Used the “Windows 8.1 Enterprise device Management Protocol” guide that was published by Microsoft.
    The guide suggests that for capturing and viewing logs generated by the built-in management agent and its components you will need access to the traceview.exe utility and the debug symbol files (.pdb) for the Windows build running on the device.It says that
    we can enable advanced logging by adding the following keyvalue to the registry.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MDM\Debug Settings]
    "EnableSyncmlLogging"=dword:00000001
    Start the traceview.exe utility from an elevated command prompt and add the following providers:
    mdmagent.pdb
    mdmappprov.pdb
    mdmsettingsprov.pdb
    Start the log capture and execute the scenario.
    We have been having problems with adding the providers. We tried both downloading the symbol files fromhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/hardware/gg463028.aspx#Download_windows
    as well as pointing traceview to the Microsoft symbol server. All our attempts to add providers result in “PDB file does not contain provider information”
    Machine specs:  Windows 8.1 Pro – 64 bit operating System
    We would be grateful if someone could help us set up logging for this scenario using traceview or any other tool/mechanism.

    I've tried to create the TMF file were the provider is in located. The .PDB file will try to locate the provider in the  TMF file, but it doesn't get created. I've used tracepdb.exe to make one.
    I don't think Microsoft provided the provider. Instead it is looking for a .tmc file.
    See the documentation for creating a tmf file.

    This is not Adobe. Rather user to user.
    From whom did you purchase Premiere Elements 12? Or, did you purchase from an authorize reseller?
    Either way, you are well beyond the typical money back within 30 days of purchase type of arrangement.
    But, as I said, this is not Adobe with whom you are communicating here. If you purchased from Adobe, then refund decisions are from Adobe.
    If you purchased from an authorized reseller, then you need to deal with that company's refund policy.
    I am surprised but glad that you got through to Adobe/Chat/Tech Support people. Typically they will only deal with current version/purchased/registered, and it is well into version 13 by now (13 was released September 24, 2014). When did you contact Adobe? Do you have a case number with Adobe Tech? Did it give you a troubleshooting scheme to follow? Were you supposed to get back to it? Did it work after your interaction with Adobe Tech?
    Post 2 of this thread highlights the things that worked for me when I was in situations such as your with Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12.
    Have you gone through the drills
    a. determining if the problem exists with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled
    b. creating a new User Account with Administrative Privileges and installing and running Premiere Elements 12 from there.

    I can not use my keyboard for applications running in 64 bit mode. E.g. Adobe Lightroom 2 or the Chess application that came with the OS.
    When I start up this applications in 32 bit mode everything is working.

    I had been using my mouse for the chess game, but I just tried typing
    e2 e4 and it worked. I presume that's what you mean by keyboard
    The activity monitor says it is a 64-bit Intel app.
    It's version 2.3 if that helps.
    Interesting that the voice commands do not work for me. After calibrating and seeing that the test commands work in the calibration window, the command for the chess game all result in a question mark. It hears, it does not understand. Ditto in 32-bit mode.
