I bought some songs on my iphone but the song aren't showing up in my music library. I plugged in my iphone to a computer and the songs showed up on the computer but still aren't on my phone.
The songs show up on itunes as bought, on the itunes app they are under the more ---> purchased but not downloaded. So i download them and they still don't showing up in my phones library.
Thanks Stephen! I did indeed miss the "Update iTunes Match". I got my hopes up that this would fix it, but alas, no luck. I clicked that on my computer, and it said it was doing a bunch of updates, looked like it was uploading my new setup to the cloud. I then opened up my music on my phone and sadly, nothing had changed. All my old playlists were still there and none of the new ones. I even went into the settings and turned off Match, then turned it back on; went back into my Music and all my playlists were gone and it started downloading them again (thankfully just the lists, not the music, so it didn't take long). But again, it just brought up the old lists and not the new ones.
Any other ideas?
Anyone?

I can't unlock my ipod nano 4th generation. The screen is still working, I can sync to my computer and I can see when it is charging but it stays in the mode of being locked even after I unlock it at the top. What could be wrong?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I have updated my iPhone 4 for the first time in about a year. I had synced it so my photos should be safe but it's now telling me I have to restore. I'm worried I will lose my messages and whatsapp videos as I have a pc so these aren't saved elsewhere
Restore from backup and everything will be exactly as it was when the backup was created.
Restore as new and the device will be as if it just came out of the box. -
I plugged my usb cable connected with my iphone 4 to the computer, and then it shows up as Iphone, but there is no button to sync, and when i manually drag the files into the storage it would say "Device is no longer responding" and it just would not work... Please help me and quick
You need to check out the User Guide here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

My iphone 4s wont sync when I connect it to the pc( not apple). It is connected as it comes up on itunes but when I try to sync it with apps/ music etc it wont. I am doing something wrong or is it a mistake with the phone. I am still able to download apps and music from itunes on my phone though.
I already restored it but that didn't help.
TIA for any replies.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Hi everyone, hope you can help. My iphone was stood on and broken and i hadnt backed it up to itunes, i have had it repaired, it looks brand new but it has no audio at all, i have very important voice recordings that i need off the phone i can see them running but cant hear them, ive tried earphones but still nothing, the phone only works for a short period of time when plugged into the mains and has no internet connection now, is there any way ref software etc that i can get these messages off my phone, im desperate
Thanks, Mellanni xIf it will not connect to your computer, and it will not connect to the Internet, either via WiFi or cellular data, then there is no practical way to extract the information. There are no magic words that will fix the broken hardware.
You could try a 3rd party data recovery service, but doing so will forfeit your right to a discounted out of warranty replacement. Only you can decide it it's worth that. -
What if I download music from my friends computer with his account and there's a song that shows up in my music library but I can't play it because it didn't finish downloading. What can I do to finish downloading it ?
You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

The airplay icon was on my computer and would play at a friend's house but now the icon is gone. How do I get it back?
wagglee wrote:
I am not connected to any other network except our own. When I got home his music played was showing where the airplay icon had been. I clicked on the name of his player and it disappeared.
The icon for his library was there and was not updated when you left his house.
When you tried to reconnect, it updated and correctly removed the icon.
To get it back, go back to his house and get on his local network. -
I want to back up my 4S but I don't get the correct screen when I plug it into my Mac - Just iPhotos and iTunes (songs) pop up. How do I get to the screen where I can back up and restore?
Hi Spookola,
I don't know how that could have happened. Go through the folders for the rolls and separate the 2005 rolls from the 2006 rolls, then import the 2006 rolls. -
I downloaded Adobe Acrobat X in 2010 and then a few years later I got a new computer and I would like to install the Adobe Acrobat X on my new computer but I cannot tell if I had more than one license and my Adobe account is not showing that I ever downloaded or ordered anything. Can you assist?
Download/install it from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html and activate it with your serial number.

my sister downloaded an album she bought on itunes on her ipad and it somehow synced to my iphone when I try to delete it it still shows up in my music library with the icloud symbol how do I delete the album???
As long as you both share an iTunes account you cannot delete the album. It is in your account and will show as available to download. The cloud symbol simply is showing that the album is in your iTunes account and is available for you to download. The album itself isn't on your phone though.

I installed Lion on my Mac Pro laptop. Regarding Time Capsul - I get a messaage as follows: couldn't complete backup due to a network problem. Make sure your computer and back up disk are on the same network and that the backup disk is turned on. Then try again to back up. I have time capsul turned on. bill
I have exactly same problem with my MBP and MBA, after upgrading to Lion. I've tried to fix this issue while cheking key chain issues and network setup, even formating hdd and time capsule firmware upgrade (ver. 7.6.1.). Nothing can help. It is very annoying.

My wife and I both have iPhones and iPads. Can we both have access to the same iTunes Match library or do we have to have separate subscriptions? Our devices are synced to the same computer and we currently download titles from the same library. We both use separate apple id's on our devices.
You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I made the mistake of resetting my iPod to factory defaults. Now it will only partially sync to my music library. I continually get an error message saying that certain songs are not authorized for my computer, although they are in the iTunes library on the computer and will play. It's these songs that won't transfer to the iPod. I have deauthorized and re-authorized the computer but no joy. Any ideas?
Hello there DesertRat71,
I was thinking that some of the songs in your library may have been purchased under a different apple id. You have already done the first thing I would have done by de authorizing and re authorizing. To verify this, highlight one of the songs that will not sync over and use File>Get Info. Here is the help menu link for it if you need it help://bookmark='https://help.apple.com/itunes/mac/11.0/help/index.html?localePa th=English.lproj#itns2937'
In the Summary section there will be an Apple ID entry. If it shows something different than what you are currently using then I recommend signing into the Apple ID it shows and authorizing the computer for that one as well.
All the best,

I am not hooking up to a new computer - I just plugged into the same computer and it asked me this Trust My Computer question. I hit Trust - yet it still doesn't seem to find the device on my computer. It doesn't show up in my iTunes list of devices.
Hi Dalegu219,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your iTunes library is on an external hard drive, but iTunes is not recognizing the library, first make sure the right library is selected.
You can use these steps to make sure iTunes is opening the library on your external drive:
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you're using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
If you're using a Mac, open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option key.
You should see one of these screens:
Pick Choose Library and locate the library on your external hard drive.
From:
iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one - Apple Support
If the right library is selected, but you do not see your songs, try re-creating the library using the instructions found here:
iTunes: How to re-create your iTunes library and playlists - Apple Support
Best Regards,
Jeremy
