iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses.

I bought a song on itunes and now when I go to listen to it it plays through about 20 seconds of the song and then it just skips to the next song. I'm trying to mix a recording in the latest 2014 version of Garageband, but when I set all the tracks in the latest Garageband to the same volume levels and save, when I open the file again they've changed back to a previous setting? Does anyone know why it changes even after saving the file?

I bought a song on iTunes and it started downloading but then about half way through it seemed to stop downloading so I pressed the square stop button in he middle of the downloading circle so that I could try and restart the download. But when I went back to iTunes, instead of having the cloud and the arrow to let me download the song from the cloud next to it, it said "Play" as if I had already downloaded the song. So I went back to my music library to try and find the song but it's not there and iTunes isn't letting me download it cause it says I already have it. Please help.

How can I listen to a song from itunes and play along with my guitar on ipad2/apogee jam?
I am trying to utilze my ipad2 for guitar practce but having a hard time getting my technology under control. I have garage band as well as the apogee jam and I can easily hook it in and play, create songs etc. But what I like to do is play along at the same time with songs from my itunes library or from youtube. whenever I switch to another app the recording feed from garage band stops until I return to the app. How do people get around this, if they do?

thxSimple - using the Airtunes (renamed Airplay in iTunes 10) speaker feature you'd use to play to an Express, you just enable in on AppleTV Gen 1 and then choose the AppleTv as the speaker in iTunes.
This will only work for audio of course.
The Remote app on an iPhone/iPad should also allow you to control iTunes playback to an AppleTV as another option - at least Version 1 allowed thsi I've not tried yet with Remote 2.0 but think it still does. -

i backed up my iphone to itunes and tried restoring the info on to a new iphone and for some reason it used an old back up from last may. I know that the recent back up worked as I used it to set up another phone a week ago (a phone whihc also had problems and hence I needed to use that same back up again on my second new phone. Is there anyway I can get the most recent back up information back?

2. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
3. Erase the iPad and restore the iPhone's iCloud backup to the device.
4. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
5. Restore the iPad backup you reated in step #1 back to the iPad. -
I downloaded the most recent version of iTunes, and now the iTunes store won't open. It just sits there and says 'accessing iTunes store for hours, but does nothing.
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

When I click on edit the go over to lyrics and I paste the lyrics and click sync the lyrics don't show up
Audiobooks in iPhone should be in the Music app under More.

Were the songs in question downloaded directly on the device or synced from iTunes on the computer?
