You can purchase a new iPhone in a different color/capacity. Warranty replacement will be for exact same color/capacity.
Take it to Apple for evaluation, most likely they will replace it without issues. Just ensure that you do a backup and sync before going to the store.

Just to clarify, there is no such thing as a iPhone 4G. The previous model was the iPhone 4, and the new one is the iPhone 4S. Apple is being careful not to use the term 4G due to the misuse of the term. Carriers are using the term regularly and Apple may have to start using the term to let consumers know that the new phone is as fast or faster than the phones already on the market using "4G or LTE". The IPhone 4S is capable of download speeds up to 14.4 Mbps, which is what the carriers are calling "4G LTE", but in actuality 4G is download speeds of 100 Mbps which isn't availible at this time. My iPhone 3G's wifi was hands down better than the 5's. Apple needs to get their customers the solution ASAP because everyone will blow through their data plans.

Lawrence, I wish it were so simple. Many of us have tried everything you have suggested and much more. I have even tried two other routers at home. My phone connects to public wifi fine - have tried 3 so far with no problems. Even on my home router, if I remove security, no good. I read that ipv6 is necessary, and one of my routers does support that, but still no luck. The phone started out OK, with a small glitch that I though iOS 6.0.2 would fix. The glitch was slow throughput and failure to connect automatically to known networks, along with dropping the wifi connection when charging and sleeping. My big problems started after connecting through a range extender at home, but I've chased enough coincindental red herrings to feel that is not the issue. If it were, then changing my home router would have fixed it, or there is a serious software bug in the OS. I'm just not going to waste any more time on it. Hoping a replacement will do the trick, but I've also read that many replacements fail. Somewhere, I saw that up to 60% of iPhone 5's are having wifi issues. Can't remember where, but am looking for it. Meanwhile, ZD Net is reporting on it too. The scariest symptom I've encountered is that a few times, after resetting network settings, the "Join" button was disabled. Go figure.

How many pepole like the white iPhone better than the black one

So I have been thinking about getting a white IPhone over the black one and was just curious how many pepole prefer the white over the black one I like the white one cause it is different and starting to grow on me plus not very many pepole have the white one I don't see to many guys with the white one but don't get. You need to go back to the person you bought it from. Sounds like they may have sold you phone that is not as described.

Walk it into the nearest Apple Store there in Ireland, admit you purposely avoided buying it there, and ask them to help you sort it out. I'm sure they'll be happy to service your overseas purchase.....

What makes you so sure it isn't software?
The camera can be focused by take the point of focus on the touch screen.
If it is new as you said, it should be under warranty. Make a Genius Bar appointment or contact Apple with a repair request.
