I bought TVshows on one computer and i need them on another help!
I had around 10 TV shows bought on iTunes but then my computer stoped working. Now i cant get to it on that computer so now i need to get to them on this one but i cant figure it out thanks in advance!
imho the best solution for that:
Set iTunes Preferences Burning to "DATA CD/DVD" & burn your videos onto such a disk.
A DATA CD/DVD is also a perfect backup.
But any other kind storage may be used for transferring videos/audio tracks as well: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93366

Bought songs on one computer, want to use them on another
I used my daughter's account to download songs onto my PC laptop. I tried to put those songs on my daughter's ipod nano, but the nano is Macintosh formatted so the PC couldn't access it. I went to my iMac, logged into my daughter's account and went to re-download the album, thinking it would just let let me download again for free, but it's giving no indication that it will do that. I go to buy and it warns me that I will be charged for the download. In my account's "Purchase History" it shows that I bought this album yesterday. So what gives? The Imac is an authorized computer for this iPod.
I'm using a Snow Leopard iMac and the old kind of iPod nano that's tall and thin and can't play videos.Yes, I have a problem overall. When I asked where the problem was I was referring to the suggestion that my Mac-formatted iPod had to be restored in order to work with my iMac. I was asking what problem would necessitate that restoration.
The fact that the iPod doesn't work on the PC is fine. I don't care. I just mentioned it to explain the entire process. The real issue is my inability to download music I've already purchased it without paying a second time.
I have logged in to my daughter's account, clicked on PURCHASED and selected CHECK FOR AVAILABLE DOWNLOADS. When I do that it tells me ALL PURCHASES HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADED FOR THIS ACCOUNT.
I see no NOT ON THIS COMPUTER anywhere, and I'm assuming you meant to say left side as opposed to 'right hand', is that correct?
_UPDATE_
As I was typing that last sentence, I checked my iTunes to double check there was nothing on the right side. I saw the tab marked DOWNLOAD PREVIOUS PURCHASES. I'd never noticed that before. Boom, that did it. So the answer is click on PURCHASED and then DOWNLOAD PREVIOUS PURCHASES in the bottom right corner. -
I accientally synced my iPhone to 2 different computers. Now my older apps are on one computer and new apps are on another. Every time I try to sync all apps on one computer it takes the other apps of and just syncs what is on that computer - Help please
I cannot for the life of me figure this out. What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync. Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes. When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it. Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone. After selecting your apps then you can sync. Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.

Syncing contact on one computer and iTunes media (music) on another
I have a desktop computer that serves as the family's itunes music and applications, and video library. I have sync'd my iphone with that computer for over a year. I also have a pc laptop that i use for work that is one of my authorized computers on the same itunes account. This is where my outlook account resides with all of my contacts. I have mobileme but have been reluctant to sync. my iphone (which has alot of contacts) with outlook using itunes because of the many stories i hear about deleting info. Now as I am about to take the leap, it seems I may not be able to sync contacts with my laptop, while continueing to sync the itunes media via my family desktop. I can't believe this is the case, but it is far from clear that i can do this, and all warnings as i start the process appear to indicate that it's going to delete those items i have sync'd from the other computer if i decide to sync. contacts with my laptop. Can i sync. my iphone with some non-itunes content (contacts) with one computer, and also sync. itunes content on a different computer?
Can i sync. my iphone with some non-itunes content (contacts) with one computer, and also sync. itunes content on a different computer?
Yes.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced or manually managed with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
Contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks can be synced with the supported applications on multiple computers.
There will be a warning message provided that your iPhone has been synced with an iTunes library on another computer, but if you don't select to transfer any iTunes content from your PC at work - don't select anything under the Music, Podcasts, Video, Applications, and Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your PC at work. -
Activated iphone on one computer and now cant use on another
I was in Michigan for a couple of months and that is where I bought my iPhone in July. I activated it on my friend's computer up there and now my home computer in Georgia will not even recognize my iPhone when I connect it. I have tried erasing all data.
Not entirely sure about iPhoto as I don't have a mac, but when syncing from folder(s) only the contents of the most recent sync will be on the iPad - but I assume that iPhoto will be the same and will therefore remove the previous sync before putting the ones on. He also won't be able to copy them off before syncing as you can only do that with photos loaded via the camera connection kit or saved from emails/websties.
This article has some general info on syncing photos http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 -
Hi, I'm selling my current computer that my iPod is synced to and want to un-sync (I think the correct term of phase is) my iPod from my current computer, so i can then sync it to my new computer without downloading any software or deleting all my data. Is this possible? If so, please tell me how. As usual, any help would be helpful.
Do this:
- iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
- Then import into your new computer
- Copy any synced photos to the new computer
- Backup the ipd to the new computer
iOS: How to back up
- Restore the iPod from that backup. The link directly above says how. -
I have a fast connection to one computer and a slow connection to another; why?
I installed my brand new Airport Extreme last night and it's working just fine on all of my Apple products (MBP, iPhone, iPad), but on my wife's Windows laptop the connection is very slow. Is it possible that it has something to do with the Airport Extreme itself and the type of signal it sends out?
Hi, I'm taking over the posting here - I'm nicotomo's wife.
I've been using speedtest.net to check my speeds after trying to download Airport Utility for Windows multiple times, and have been averaging between .08 Mbps - .25 Mbps as opposed to my husband's 8 Mbps. He tested a lower 3 Mbps earlier today, but it is still worlds better than my speed.
When I test directly with the ethernet cord, I get speeds from 7 Mbps - 18 Mbps, so I highly doubt it is the internet connection itself. -
Can i uninstall Dreamweaver from one computer and re-install onto another comuter?

Yes, you require an internet connection.
Launch DW

Uninstall using the Add or Remove Programs system control panel
Download the installer from the Adobe site directly or using this method
Install it on the new machine
Launch it with sufficient user privileges (admin)

Is there anyway to take a downloaded app from one computer and put it on another without rebuying it. I have a macbook that I bought the new iMovie and iPhoto on, but I would rather it be on my iMac. So is there anyway I can change it? I thought that if I bought it the apps on my macbook, they would be avaliable on my imac like the mobile devices operate. The macbook has 10.6.8 cause its a older model and I think lion would slow it down. Any help??
Just redownload it on the other computer by logging into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase it.

i have a song bought on one computer and it didnt ask to transfer it to another one of mine and i synced it to the one and now i dont have the song, is there a way to downlad it again? besides going to the other computer?
Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Type "move itunes library from pc to mac" or similar into the google search bar. -
I bought a new computer and I need to sync my ipod touch with the new computer
I bought a new HP laptop and I need to register my ipod touch so that it recognizes when I plug it in to the laptop. how do I do this
I somehow suspect this is not what you mean:
iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420 - and another helpful post: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17828050
This is more likely what you mean:
Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.
Basically what the above is saying is you should transfer your itunes library from your other computer, not try to do it from the iPoad. -
I bought a new computer and I need to transfer the software - How do I do that?
I bought a new computer and I need to transfer the software - How do I do that?
[email protected] ,
To transfer the product from one system to another , first step would be to deactivate the product from that machine so that you have an empty seat available for you . Second step , will be to get the media and install the product on the new machine and then activate it using the serial number that you will have .
Also , if you are not sure of the details of the order, you can please share the order number with me in a private message and I will get back to you with the information.

I have 3 iTunes libraries on my one one computer and since I updated to the new version I can no longer see who's library I am in. It used to show at the top of iTunes the name of the library I was in. Is there a way I can tell which library I am in without closing and reopening?
No. Frequently the apps take up more storage space on the iPod that the file download size.

I installed a new wireless router on Tues. (May4) up until that time I had no problems using Firefox. Now I cannot get it to open on one computer, and the other it will open but will not load. Wondering if it has anything to do with the router, my provider or our computers. Again, it had been working fine. I am also unable to open interent explorer now on either computer.
== User Agent ==
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; AOL 9.0; Windows NT 5.1; GTB6.4; AskTB5.6)Sounds like a problem with the router installation/configuration (likely) or a DOA router (very unlikely).
Visit the forums for the router manufacturer (i.e., linksys, d-link, etc.) and ask for assistance there. There is probably a link to help listed in the router manual. -
How do i remove photostream from one computer and put onto laptop?

PhotoStream is a cloud service. You can't "take it off one computer and put it on another." All you do is enable it on the other computer. You can do that in iPhoto preferences.
