I built an app, now what

I built an app using xcode. Now what do i do to see it in the app store? Or can I just put it onto my phone only?

With over 75,000 apps now, I think the app store can be classified as healthy - very healthy.
If your app is approved by Apple, you plan on charging for the app and if the app is any good, you should cover the $99 cost and your time spent developing the app in no time. There are a number of stories regarding part time app developers for the iPhone and iPod Touch who ended up quitting their full time job in short order as a result of a successful paid app, which can probably be done with a marginally successful paid app with the numbers involved. As the old saying goes, it takes some money to make some money, and $99 is nothing for the potential.
