I Cal duplicates

I Cal duplicates everything onto the first date of the next month. If I delete that, it deletes
all the original dates. I have spent hours on this.
I am not synced to any other device. This happens where I duplicate or set an ending
date on repeat

On your iphone go to settings -> general -> date and time.
Make sure that the date, time and time zone is set correctly.
If so, try turning time zone support off, and correct date and time settings.
Go back to the home screen.
Power the iphone off and back on.
Check to see if the time for events is still an hour off.

I'm have a query/report with say Profit Center in the Rows and Qty and Cal. Year/Month (0CALMONTH) in the Columns. Very simple and works just fine.

ICal creates calendar account every time I open iCal - duplicate Events

Hi,
I have a Lion Server and 2 Clients (with Lion). All the latest updates are installed on all computers.
On the Lion Server is the iCal Server running.
Ok I configured iCal on a client (Lion). This client has 2 cal accounts (in Preferences -> Accounts).
Nr.1 = WebDAV from the Lion iCal Server
Nr.2 = the iCloud accout from the client-user
Ok here is my problem:
When I start iCal on the client mac, iCal everytime creates a duplicate iCal account of my WebDAV account. So the account Nr. 1 exists twice AND all events will be duplicated. If i wouldn't delete the new account everytime, the WebDAV-account would exist 10 times (when I start the app 10 times).
And this account will also be created when I delete ALL accounts in iCal and restart the app. This also happens when I deactivate the iCloud account on this Mac.
I also tried to delete all files in ~/Library/Calendars but this problem still exists!
This is really annoying.

Ok, the same problem occurs when I start my mac not in my local network, but in a network that is connected to the Internet. The WebDAV cal account will be created automatically when Internet is available.
Any suggestions?

9236 enable shunt cal property crashes crio OS with scan engine

I would like to inform users of the 9236 Quarter Bridge Strain Gauge Module of a bug. The Real-Time team is aware of this issue and I have been working with an app engineer on it for about a week and he has confirmed my findings. He says the problem is most likely a driver issue or scan engine issue and they are investigating it.
There is a bug that completely crashes the cRIO operating system with the 9236 module. Currently when a cRIO device is loaded with LV2009 SP1 or LV2010 and using scan engine interface, attempting to write the "shunt cal enable" property of a 9236 module completely crashes the VxWorks OS. If you try to access the property again, the crio crashes and enters an error state where the crio has rebooted twice without being told to. The LED indicator blinks four times to indicate this.
I have tested this with a few different hardware combinations with both the crio-9014 and crio-9012 controllers, combined with either the 8-channel 9104 back plane or the 4-channel 9102 back plane with the same results. The app engineer was able to duplicate this issue as well.
To duplicate the bug:
Load a crio device with 2009 SP1 or LV2010 and configure the device for scan engine. Locate the 9236 module in the project explorer and drag and drop it into a VI to create the IO variable. Right click the output terminal of the IO Variable and go to create > property > enable shunt calibration on a channel. Once the property is dropped, right click on it and do change to write so that you can write a boolean to the variable. It doesn't matter if you write a true or false to the property, the results are the same. Hit run, watch it crash. When it reboots, hit run again. The crio is now in a state that can only be recovered by physically resetting the device.
I love the crio stuff and I use it every day because it is very reliable and robust. This kind of thing is rare, which is why I am reporting it to the community as well as NI as it is a pretty big bug that took me a while to narrow down.

Shunt calibration can be accessed using a property node. The operation will be the same, you still need to acquire two sets of data and compute the scalar.

I need help on how to correct my data base in my Address Book. Eversince it was sync with my yahoo.com database it got messed up. How do I delete all duplicates by not doing it manually one by one?

from original 2000 adresses I now have 550,000 many of them massive duplicates. Causes MASSIVE time waste and delays.
Event correlates with me installing Outlook for Mac2011 sync programme.
now want to just delete address book and sync again and stay with Mac Address/Cal and disconnect from Microsoft.
question: can I simply delete address book in Finder? what happens when I go back into it? does it get newly created?
any other suggestion how to tackle?

Duplicate instance exception

I have a scenario where a Parent window calls a child window and that child window calls one more child window.
I developed a component which contains a view that is to be displayed in all the windows. This view is embedded into every window view set.
When i try to run the application, it gives me a runtime exception.
Is there any solution/work around for this?

Are you getting the error the first time you activate the pop up or on subsequent activations.
Your error points to a situation where the interface view of your component exists in memory and you are trying to create it again.
Are you destroying the window after the close using .destroy(). What about the component usage is it manual or framework controlled. With manual you can control the creation and destruction of the component

Subscribing to multiple ICS web calendars results in duplicate calendar msg

I'm trying to subscribe to multiple ICS/iCal calendars that are published by a local hockey league on their web site. The link is actually to a PHP script that uses a query string parameter to determine which team's calendar you want. But when I attempt to subscribe to more than one of these in iCal, it says it thinks it's the same calendar! But when I do them each separately, they work fine. I can't figure out why and would appreciate tips, advice, etc from others who may have encountered similar situations.

If a subscribed holiday calendar is current and events are displayed far enough into the future you can use iCal>File>Export for one of the subscriptions. Then use iCal>File>Import on the previously exported file. When you import, be sure to create an unique name for the calendar. Now you can delete the subscription, and you can edit/delete the calendar, and rename the freshly imported calendar.

Multiple Cals after Lion Upgrade

Hi,
I recently upgraded to Lion and after the upgrade I notice on my Mac that iCal displays many duplicate entries (all my Mac's look the same)
There is actually about 300 cals in this list.... If I check on my iPhone, iPad or MobileMe (portal) there is only one copy so it appears to be an iCal issue
I have tried deleting using an Automator Workflow (which suceeds but they keep coming back)
Anyone else seeing this or know a fix ???

Have you deselected "Birthdays" on your iPad, iPhone, and MobileMe?
iPhone/iPad Calendar>Calendars>Other>Birthdays (deselect)
MobileMe Web App>Calendar>Preferences...>Show Birthdays calendar (deselect)
If you have done that and the problem continues, quit iCal, go to Finder>(Option+Click)Go>Library>Calendars, and remove any/all files with "Cache" in the file name.

Dragging and dropping Cal invitations.

I used to be able to drag and drop Cals into an e-mail (and it'd appear as a clear .ics card attachment). Now if I drag and drop a Cal event into the body, it looks like:

Scheduled: Oct 22, 2014, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: X Address
The person receiving this e-mail would need to click on the time/downward arrow to add to the Cal. I'm afraid maybe some people who don't use Yosemite won't know the invitation is attached? Or am I getting this wrong?

I don't know why but this code doesnt work for me too.
I am able to drag out only one mc and have a duplicate being
positioned at the same position. But i am not able to drag the

1) when a movieclip starts to be dragged, create a duplicate
of it located at its start position
2) the duplicate can be dragged as well and when it is being
dragged, there will be another duplicate of it at its start

I don't know what went wrong here, but a much more flexible way to achieve this is not to use ViewSets but normal views with ViewContainerUIElement instances and embedding views into these instances. Doing it that way gives you much more control over the layout.

Duplicate iCal Items after 10.6.3 Update

After the latest software update to Mac OS X (10.6.3), I get duplicate items for everything in iCal (birthdays, holidays, events, etc). Anyone else having this problem and how do I delete all of the duplicates?

Days like this really make me question whether the Mac is indeed superior to Windows.

I keep about a dozen calendars in iCal (some are my own, others are subscriptions, a couple are CalDAV two-way links with Google Calendar). All of the calendars were replicated multiple times in iCal and on MobileMe - I had in excess of 150 items in my calendars list.
Some comments on how I've restored things so that hopefully others will not waste as much time as I have.
* First, shut off MobileMe sync. I don't plan on ever synchronizing my calendars through Apple services again. After previous troubles culminating in the current disaster, I don't believe this product is salvageable.
* Might be wise to disconnect from the Internet entirely while conducting surgery on your calendars. Several times, iCal somehow reconstructed files that I had explicitly deleted.
* Quit out of iCal before doing anything.
iCal files are in ~/Library/Calendars.
Delete the cache file in ~/Library/Calendars/Calendar Cache; also ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iCal.
You need to use the command line for this.
Make a backup copy of your Calendars folder before following any of these instructions.
Each calendar is stored in a subfolder under ~/Library/Calendars. These folders are named with unique identifiers, like "F16776B1-14B9-428C-B6C9-4D240D894B3B.calendar". CalDAV subscriptions end with .caldav.
In each calendar folder there is an Info.plist file. Look at one of these files, towards the bottom you'll see: will include:
<key>Title</key>
<string>[CALENDAR TITLE HERE]</string>
Since we have replicated calendars, there will be many folders for calendars with the same title. So, given a calendar that you want to recover...
$ cd ~/Library/Calendars
$ CALS=`grep "CALENDAR TITLE" *.calendar/Info.plist|sed 's/\/.*//'|sort|uniq`
$ for x in $CALS; do echo $x; ls -l $x/Events | wc; done
You'll get a list of calendar folders with the number of events in each calendar.
One of these folders is the one you want to keep. Probably the one that has the most events. If there are several with the same number of events, they are probably all identical copies, so just pick one.
DELETE all the other folders except the one you want to keep.
Repeat the process for every other unique calendar.
When you're done, the number of .calendar folders in ~/Library/Calendars should be reasonable (in my case).
Check again that there are no cache files left in the ~/Library/Calendars folder.
Your calendars should now be repaired. Make another backup copy of the entire Calendars folder - because iCal has a tendency to "fix" things of its own accord, so the pollution could magically reappear later.
Start iCal. Things should be back to normal.
Watch out for mysterious processes called iCalExternalSync and Mingler consuming lots of CPU. I suspect that these are responsible for some of the calendar destruction insanity but I haven't caught them red-handed yet.

Google cal sync issues between mac and iPhone?

Just noticed this morning that my iphone is not syncing with my mac calendar and google calendar, but only for past events with just one specific calendar? I seemed to have lost all the previous events up through today for that specific cal? New events seem to be created OK, but if I change the event to a different calendar on my iphone, it duplicates it on my mac and google calendar showing the event in bith the original cal and the one I swithched it to. I checked google sync and cal div and all the appropriate calendars are selected. I did also have icloud cal selected on my iphone which I unchecked. I just updated to 10.8.2 on my mac a few days ago and it got hung up during install...had to hard restart the mac. Dont know if that could have something to do with it? Anyone else having issues with this?

You should ask in the MobileMe forums as this forum (iSync) has nothing to do with syncing Macs to MobileMe.

Duplicate calendar / iCal entries every time I sync Nokia 6300

Every time I sync my Nokia 6300 the entries I have put on the calendar on the phone originally and which have then synced to iCal get duplicated so that I end up with duplicate entries every time I use iSync
As always any help or advice most appreciated

Ok, the same problem occurs when I start my mac not in my local network, but in a network that is connected to the Internet. The WebDAV cal account will be created automatically when Internet is available.
Any suggestions?

I Cal Events Duplicated

All of my holidays have been duplicated on my I Cal. I cannot seem to find a way to "undo duplicate" for the national holidays that I subscribed to...anyone know a solution?
