Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The iPod touch has a very rudimentary camera. It has only a 0.6 MP resolution, no optical zoom, no flash, etc. There is no app that can improve this as it is limited by the hardware. So it is not a replacement for a digital camera (nor even for an iPhone whose camera has a 5.0 MP resolution.

hey i broke the screen on my ipod touch 4th Gen and im trying to do a backup on the data but it says I need to enter a passcode on my ipod but the screen dosent work so what can I do.
You can't backup the iPod t iTunes then. You will have to use an existing iTunes backup.
If iCloud backup is turned on and the iPod is still working (not disabled), the iPod will automatically backup daily if an internet connection is available and the iPod is connected to a charging source. -

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone shows a blue screen and is restarting on its own. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Ok my ipod was working fine and I put it in my backpack and when I took it out 5mins later and tried to turn it on with the top button (since my home button DOES NOT WORK and is STUCK, idk how that happen either ugh) it would NOT turn on. My ipod was around 50% battery (plz do not say the battery indicator is unreliable because it was half charged). My ipod touch just slid off the sofa (less than two feet) and fell on its face. The screen is now cracked but the ipod is still functional. Will Apple repair the screen and if so how much would it cost? I think I was told in store that I could get 10% off a new one, but does this include the new 5g model?
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Can anyone help? Can I get my iTunes library from my Ipad touch into my new PC? From what I've read, it looks like I have to buy a special software to move it over. However, I thought when I bought the ipod that it said I could have the library on other computers. Or was it that the library could be on several ipod devices? Thanks for any help.

My iPod Classic was working fine all day. Came home and uploaded 2 files via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod. I've tried both headphones and a docking station......nothing. The songs don't even engage, they skip to the next one. I've tried rebooting the iPod and still nothing. Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs. -
I came home, and my iMac was unconscious!
I came home and my beloved reliable iMac had a dark grey screen (not a totally black screen) and was showing no signs of life! I hit the power button, but nothing happened. So I unplugged it, waited a minute, plugged it back in again, and hit the power button again. It started back up as if nothing had happened.
Is this "fainting spell" an ominous sign that my iMac has a terminal disease or something, and I will need to replace it soon?
Is there an easy diagnostics program that I can run that will tell me what make it "pass out"? Please don't ask me to use those grey CDs that came with the computer - I will never figure out how to use them without the help of Apple Support, and my 3 year Apple Care Plan expired 3 months ago (the computer is 3.25 years old).
I want to get a new iMac while my current iMac is still alive and well -- so I can transfer all the data/files over to a new computer. You see, my Time Machine has some kind of software bug and it never makes reliable backups (the last one was in May of 2011). So I've got to transfer data/files the old fashioned way with a cable between the computers.
Is it time for me to rush to the Apple store to buy a new iMac?It probably isn't time to rush to the Apple Store yet. As with any computer make sure it's backed up, you should be using Time Machine to do so if you are not already. Also make sure TM is working OK, restore a file from time to time just to make sure things are working OK.
If you cannot figure out how to use the DVD's that came with your machine you can have a Genius at an Apple Store show you how. One very basic way is to run Apple Hardware Test, if you can read and follow basic instructions run AHT in Extended Mode. If it reports any errors back then that's when it's time to become concerned.

I just got the iPhone 5 and took it on a trip and took a bunch of photos on it. I just came home and hooked it up to my Mac for the first time and hit restore. All of my trip pictures disappeared. Is there any way I can retrieve them?
Did you by chance have photo stream turned on? If so then they might be there. When you restored your phone it deleted everything and they will be unretreivable from your computer.

Work with and store the documents on DropBox or something similar. It's free for DropBox. All you need after that is access to the internet and regardless of where you are and what you're using you have access to your documents.

I just got an iPhone 4 as an upgrade from the original iPhone 3. I came home and tried to sync it with my iTunes and it says I need to upgrade my iTunes to work with the 4. The current version of iTunes isn't compatible with my G5 mac????? Help

The next day I checked my wife's computer and noticed that Playlist 130 was now missing from her computer as well.
