I can access the internet on my iPad but I can't access Facebook or my own email
When I put in my username and password, the iPad just will not process to give access. I went into "Settings" and turned Block Pop-ups to OFF but I still can't get into Facebook and my eircom email. What do I need to do?
if it's a facebook app try accessing facebook in the browser and the other way around if it's in the browser you have problems
about mail then most likely the config is set wrong verify each setting with your mail provider's setting list

If you mean that you cannot remember the password for your WiFi network this will work for you - or it should work if you are the administrator on the Mac.
You will need to be logged in as the administrator on your Mac and you must know the password - Open Keychain Access on your Mac in the utilities folder, click on Passwords. Find the Airport Network Password listed on the right. Double click on it. Click on show password in the the window that pops up. Enter your administrator password when prompted and click allow.
If Keychain is locked - you must enter the administrator password there as well to unlock it and access the password.
If you have set the Mac up for Internet Sharing for the iPad to share the Mac's connection, just create a new network On the Mac with Internet sharing and a new password. -

How are you trying to copy them over ? You should be able to copy them over to the TV Shows section of your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases

Recently I have had to restart my iMac up to 10 times before I am able to access the internet with Safari.

Hello, be sure you have your Apple TV selected as the designated viewing source. There a couple ways to do this. While watching the video click on the square with the triangle in it, select the name of your Apple TV. Or, double click any time, scroll to the left twice to reveal the same symbol, and select your Apple TV.

I have tried to reset my Wi-Fi settings. I have powered my iPad 2 off and still can't get it to join. There isn't anything wrong with the internet connection because my laptop is still working just fine. Are there any other ideas on how to get this to connect?
I am having a similar issue. ipad was working fine last night but this morning will not connect to wifi network. wifi is okay as am using it on my laptop. I have turned router on/off dozens of times, have disconnected all cables, unplugged form power, reset my ipad to factory settings, deleted my network and set up again, still no luck, airplane mode is off etc etc. very annoying...

Why can't I access the internet and everyone in my house can?
My laptop was getting signal since I moved into this house in the Summer. I went home to LA for a few days and when I came back one of my housemates got a new modem. Everyone else's laptop work(including 3 other mac book owners) fine but I cannot get access to the internet. What do I need to change or do? Im not so great with technology but I tried different options, she took off and on the password from the wireless internet and nothing. As well, I noticed 2 other icons at the top of my laptop next to the battery life icon..One looks rectangular and black..and the other one looks like this <.....>. Weeks have passed by and I'm just getting tired of having only access to the internet in school.

What did not work?
Did the airport router you are trying to connect to not show up under the airport symbol in the menubar?
If it did show up, did it have any symbols by it like a padlock for instance?
In other words, exactly what did you do and exactly what did you experience?
If your Mac does not even list the router in the menubar under the icon/symbol (triangle with curved lines, supposed to appear to be radio waves radiating) then the router may have a setting set that does not allow it to be seen except to computers with MAC addresses that have been entered into it as allowable. If this is the case then your MAC address will have to be entered into the router's list. MAC stands for Media Access Control. "Mac" is the abbreviation for Macintosh.
The fact that you mention you have two new symbols in your menu bar suggests that someone has been playing with the computer and making changes that you are unaware of. If this is the case then there are many possibilities for problems.
The fact is, a Mac fresh out of the box will see any router within range and connect to it unless the router requires a password or the router has Access Control set such that it cannot be seen by a computer that does not exist in its 'OK' list. Since yours works at school, that rules out a hardware or problem or most software problems with your computer. But networking is complicated enough that you have to be quite specific when you try to tell others what you have tried and what results you got. -
I am using a PC with Windows 7, and like I said, the other browser seems to be working just fine. I just MISS my passwords and really don't want to go through all the work and trouble of requesting new ones from ALL the sites I use passwords for ! Please HELP :)

When you connect through your router you have two instances of DHCP going on...one is your DSL modem giving your router an IP address on it's WAN interface. The other is the router giving your computer an IP address via the router's DHCP server. The IP the modem gives your router is in the 192.168.1.0 network. Unfortunately, by default, the LAN IP address reange on Linksys routers is also in that range. To get this to work, you need to set your LAN ip on the router to 192.168.2.1, so that the LAN and WAN interfaces of the router are in different networks.
To do that, unplug the router from the DSL modem, power it and your computer down, then connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Power up the router, and the computer, then browse to 192.168.1.1. Change the LAN IP on the router setup to 192.168.2.1, save the configuration, then reboot the computer. Once the computer comes back up, browse to 192.168.2.1...you should be able to get to the router setup GUI.
Power down the router, and the DSL modem, connect the router to the modem via the Internet port using an ethernet cable, then power up the modem, then the router....you should be good to go...

I bought an HDMI cable (and adapter for my Macbook Pro), but I don't want to purchase Apple TV. All I want is to make it so I can view programs such as the internet on my tv... sort of like a larger monitor.
Connect the adapter to your MacBook, put the HDMI cable into that adapter and the second cable end into your TV HDMI input slot. Then select that HDMI source on your TV.
That should do it.
If not, check the display settings on your MacBook. -
I suddenly can't copy and paste text from Word to the internet (Firefox or Chrome, email or other websites), but I can do the reverse. Any ideas? Copy and paste works between Word docs, and it works between internet sites (e.g., web page to email), just not from Word to the internet. Please help. There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those. -

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
