I can browse pages but I can't buy music or reedem gift cards? HELP!!!
When I try to reedeem a giftcard or sign into my account in the music store, it says that it cannot connect to the music store. But yet I can still browse pages of the music store. I can't even get to the page where the space is where I can enter the codes. What should I do?

Itunes verifies your account using your billing info.
If your credit shows in the top right side of the itunes store, then it will take it from that balance. -

Yes, he can create an account and make purchases with gift card.
When he gets the gift card, have him open the iTunes store and click on Redeem at the top right under *Quick links*.
Input the card number then select *Create new account*.
Input the personal info and when it gets to credit card info, select None. -
I don't, understand because both of my sister's devices will let her use the gift card directly from the mobile and her iPad mini but it won't on either my iPhone, itouch, or iPad. How do I fix this?
What does "it won't let me mean"? It's much more helpful if you actually tell us what is happening when you try to use the card.
Did you redeem the card properly in the App Store or in iTunes - at the bottom of the screen in the main tab of either app? -

"Buy Now" won't work. Can't buy music, but my Shopping Cart is loaded.
Since the beginning of June I cannot buy music from Apple. My iTunes works perfectly in all respects except one -- I can't purchase anything.
The diagnostic indicates an "unknowe error" in the the Music Store. Everything else on my PS=C works fine, including all three Internet browsers -- FoxFire, Internet Explorer, and Opera.
Emails to iTunes remain unanswered. Their promise to answer eMails within 24 hours is a lie.
Anyone else have this problem?
Geogordoni have the same exact problem. music store works. itunes works like a charm otherwise but i can't buy music because it says my shopping cart and i must delete or buy items, but when i try to access my shopping cart it just won't open....i don't even get an error message it just "thinks" for abit and then stops with the shopping bag completely unloaded

I think it has more to do with licensing. You can only buy music from the store for your country. Unfortunately, if your country doesn't have a store yet, because they are trying to do everything legally, you can't buy anything.
Even though I'm in the US and can buy from the US iTunes store, I can't buy anything that is on a different store. So, for example, I can browse the Japan store, and there may be a lot of things that I want to buy, but I'm not allowed to because I don't have a Japan billing address.
I asked their support when the Japan store was opened why I couldn't buy from it, and that-the legality and licensing concerns-is basically the answer that I got. -

How to reset your Apple ID security questions
Go to appleid.apple.com and click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email.
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side. Then underneath the security questions click on the link that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'. This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or there is no rescue email link available, then you will need assistance from Apple Account Security. Follow this procedure:
click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
Next, go to getsupport.apple.com. If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services'.
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
A new page will open. Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

Hey, epoh, I haven't forgotten the long term solution for you, I just can't seem to find it in the user tips library. I know it was there, and I've asked some of the folks who have helped on this type of thing before to help me relocate it. Of course, they all decided they were "Irish" and (although it has nothing to do with being Irish) are still recovering from celebrations designed to make bartenders rich and breweries dry.
Hopefully they will be back soon. In the mean time, Rod has suggested two things. One would be taking a look at your account page (click on your account name when in the iTunes Music Store) and seeing if there isn't a way to reset it in the purchase history screen. I don't see anything like that there, but then again, I don't have anything stuck in my cart either
Give that a shot, then try deauthorizing your computer and reauthorizing it. I see where he is going with this one. It's quite possible that this action will get rid of anything that was hanging out under that particular account name.
Give these both a shot, and see if it doesn't shake that album loose. If it doesn't, I'm sure someone has a link to the fix I'm thinking of. -
Why can't I move an iTunes gift card?
I just got our SeniorNet Computer Learning Center into Apple computers and tablets two years ago (Dec 2011) and I'm beginning to wish I hadn't. Here's the latest "policy" problem with Apple I've encountered. We have 10 Apple computers and 14 Apple tablets (iPads) and I've created unique Apple IDs for each device. When I upgraded the software on the Apple computers I had to assign my PERSONAL credit card to the account long enough to order the Mountain Lion upgrade and then I immediately removed my credit card from the account. I didn't like doing it because all of our students know the Apple ID and password for each computer so there was an exposure but I lived with it. However, it would be MUCH better (and SAFER for me), if I could order the upgrades for the desired Apple IDs, using my personal Apple ID account. I keep hoping Apple will hire some smarter people that might see the flaw in their current policy and change it.
Now, onto the latest policy problem. As part of teaching the iPads, I wanted to have a song on each iPad, purchased from the iTunes store. You already know my concern with assigning my PERSONAL credit card to an Apple ID account created for our computers so I really didn't want to follow that procedure in order to purchase a song for each iPad. My solution was to buy a $25 iTunes gift card. I could then apply the gift card to the first iPad Apple ID, purchase the desired song, then remove the gift card from that Apple ID and apple the gift card to the next Apple ID. That way, our maximum monetary exposure is whatever the balance is on the gift card rather than my available credit on my PERSONAL credit card. Sounded like a much safer plan than having to enter my PERSONAL credit card information on each Apple ID for all of our iPads.
Now, we encounter the latest DUMB Apple "policy". It was really easy to redeem the Apple gift card on the first Apple ID. I scratched off the label to reveal the code, entered it into iTunes, and was able to purchase a song for that Apple ID. Now, all I had to do was to remove that code from that Apple ID and move it to our other Apple IDs in order to purchase the remaining songs. The iTunes gift card balance would follow it, just like gift cards you purchase anywhere else.
I went into the account for the first iPad in order to remove the gift card but was unable to find out how to do it. I went into Apple Support and sent an email, asking how I could remove the iTunes gift card from the current Apple ID and move it to the next Apple ID. I just received a reply back this morning from Aaron: The BAD NEWS, currently, once you redeem an iTunes gift card on an Apple ID, you can't remove it from that Apple ID!!! I'm now stuck with an iTunes gift card with a balance of something over $23 and I'm unable to use it to purchase the other songs for each of our other iPads! I have no reason to purchase anything else from iTunes for that Apple ID so our SeniorNet Computer Learning Center is OUT the remaining balance on the iTunes gift card!
Apple needs to CHANGE this policy, IMMEDIATELY!!!It says, cannot complete transaction, contact iTunes support. When I contact iTunes support it leads nowhere specific.

i have new ipad2 and the iTunes have only podcasts and iTunes U options. I simply can't download music or vidoes. Please help!
Not all content types are available in all countries, and unfortunately where you are you will only have apps, podcasts, iTunes U and free books - the full list of what is available where is shown on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3599 . As the terms of use of the stores state that you can only use your own country's store, you also can't get music or films from Apple from other country's stores.
Are there other music and/or film purchase download sites that you can use in the UAE ? For music you can also copy your own CDs and sync them to the iPad
