I can delete history in safari but when i tap the Google icon on home page, it doesn't work

I have Safari on the Home screen and it opens to Google. I never use that icon. There is also a separate Google icon. I want to delete all history and cookies from Google. I found instruction online for how to delete history from Safari which i did successfully. But when i touch the Google icon on Home screen, the history still is there. I just don't know what to do. There must be a way. btw, i don't know why i have both Safari and Google. I might have added Google when i got the iPod or perhaps somone else did. i'm not sure it was there when i bought it.
I really need to delete the history. There must be someone out there who can tell me... and I would truly appreciate getting a solution. Thanks loads!!!

I retraced my steps to how i got the Google app:
App Store icon on Home Screen > Search, at bottom > entered Google
The first Google App on the screen appears:
Google logo small g in blue square: Google Search; Open (because it is already installed). Below that is a picture of the iPod with the usual Google Search screen. I have never inserted a link into a discussion group so i hope you can open this.

I do not have the correct version of the flash player, but when I follow the steps to download it, it still doesn't work in Firefox. (It does work in Internet Explorer)

Every time I click on a video icon, the response I get is that I cannot play the clip because I do not have the correct flashplayer. However, when I click to download it, nothing changes. I even tried disabling my security setting but it still did not work. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting help was too complicated for me to figure out. Is there something basic I can do to make firefox work? It does work on Internet explorer, so obviously the correct program is in my computer - it just won't work on firefox.

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

Apparently it is not an issue with wifi since Safari, You Tube and Maps work well, I’ve tried some of the tips, e.g. log off/on my Id, change password but no one worked.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Texts, Calls and Wifi work fine but the 3g doesn't work. My phone only shows 'GPRS' in the top left corner. Also I get a message come up saying "Could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service".

Hi hexonxonx, I'm on o2. Thanks for your advice. You are right. All I had to do was change one of my APN settings to mobile.o2.co.uk and reboot my phone and this sorted it out straight away! Thanks again. Much appreciated . I was thinking I was going to have to go back to an android phone to use my 3g again but this eliminated that need. Thanks.

Im having the same problem. I just got the itouch 4g this past sunday and everything was working great. Yesterday and today the camera went black out of nowhere and its black right now. Exactly the same issue here in Hungary. I have the iOS 7 Developer release. I think this has to do something with the iOS7 Activation lock, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818 I just don1t get why I cannot unlock with my password.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You have to define each account you want to access. Go into settings, the email part, and add accounts. You need to know whether each one is an IMAP or POP account. Enter the incoming and outgoing server addresses, your account and password. Etc.

My mail is set up but when I touch the mail icon the screen is blank with a message saying 'no message selected' then goes straight to home page. I have rebooted, deleted and reloaded my email account but nothing is working.

My mail is set up and it comes up with 75 messages received but when I click onto the mail icon the page is blank(White) with the message 'no message selected' and then goes to the homepage. I have rebooted the iPad and deleted and reloaded my mail account but nothing works.

The app is crashing for some reason - maybe an email with a very large attachment or some crappy spam email is messing things up. Quit the mail app.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close mail by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the mail app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close it. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If mail still crashes, go to your webmail in a browser and see if you have an email in there that might be causing a problem and delete it. Then try the app again. If necessary, quit the app, restart the iPad and then try again.
