I can do everything but send texts

I only got it yesterday and until about 3 hours ago, all was fine. Now I can't send texts. I can do everything else; use the internet, email, receive texts. But I can't send them.
I don't know what to do!

I suggest the following steps:
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your carrier for formal assistance.

iMessage is from Apple to communicate with other Apple devices.
iPad is not a phone and does not have SMS/MMS services from a carrier. There are apps that can do this, search the App Store.

Receiving iMessage but sending text to known iPhone

I am receiving text from a contact that is registered with iMessage. The incoming messages are iMessage but when i send out, it will only send text. My phone does not seem to register this contact as iMessage to send to. I am in the same group MMS with that contact. All contacts in that group have iPhones and use iMessage. It shows that messages sent from every user is iMessage but mine sends out text because it recognizes one of the contacts as a non-iMessage user although i receive iMessage from them. Please help

I am having this same problem too, my friend just got her iPhone, and her messages to me are coming as iMessage but my outgoing to her are text? I can send messages to her from my iPads fine, but the phone is the issue and when I go to the iPad conversations, of course the messages sent from my phone are missing. I can send other users iMessages just fine....this is driving me crazy.

New iphone can't receive or send text messages

I can't receive or send test messages. I tried turning airplane mode on and off. I also don't seem to have a data plan added to my service. I looked at my contract and it just shows family talk. I thought they automatically add this to iphone contracts.

It doesn't display an error message. It sends it out, but the recipient never receives it. I think the Best Buy person screwed up my service some how. She didn't sign me up for a data plan or a text message plan for this account. I was supposed to keep my same plan. It should still send texts though (at a higher non-text plan rate).

You need to activate roaming and it will not be activated for the first 6 months or until you have built a payment history with EE. You can either call then on +44 (0) 7953 966 250 or try using twitter but you maybe asked to pay a deposit if within the 6 month period.
You can still use WIFI.

Iphone 4s-when wifi is off and I am away from my home connection can I receive and send texts and text messages? I want to keep my wifi off to limit data (email etc) to when I want to check it. Cellular is roaming"voice only" it says.Can I get texts?

When my wifi is off and I'm away from my home connection - it shows wifi off (unless I turn it on to check my email etc.) - and in the settings cellular it shows "voice only". Will I be able to receive and send texts in those settings? Or check voicemail. I had wanted to keep my email from coming in all the time and only want to check it periodically - so I turn ON my wifi when I want to check my email. But when my wifi was off away from home- I hadn't seemed to be getting my texts. So- do I need to keep wifi roaming connected when away from home to receive and send my texts in real time. (which is what I want) or am I still able to send and receive texts with my wifi off when I'm away from home. (When I'm home I am connected to my home data plan automatically through wifi and I get texts when I'm home - but I'm thinking I'm not getting texts in real time - is it because my wifi is off when I'm away from home? My cellular shows voice only when my wifi is off away from home. Am I doing it right to receive and send texts away from home? Or do I need to open up the wifi in order to receive and send text messages. I know that I would need to turn on wifi roaming - which will use data - for email checking or sending - as well as to use browsing apps and now I'm guessing to receive voice messages I may have missed? In order to send and receive SMS or MMS messages, you will need to have an active cellular data or Wi-Fi connection.
You will need these to send and receive iMessages:
An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
iOS 5.0 or later
A cellular data connection or a Wi-Fi connection
A phone number or Apple ID registered with iMessage in Settings > Messages

Can do everything but Remote Control.

I have a 99 client Pro subscription. One particular computer will let me login and do everything but Remote Control. I can use the File Manger, Chat, etc. Remote Control client shows an error after it tries to authenticate. Other clients work just fine.

VPN work email; Can recieve email but sending is difficult

I have two email accounts set up;
My yahoo account and my work email through a VPN. No problem recieving but sending is hit and miss on both. I like this phone but the email isn't as reliable as I would like...any suggestions?

Depends on how the VPN is set up. Some VPN servers expire over time, and some even use a secure key to generate a new password regularly.
When connected via VPN you should be able to use your work's outgoing server. If you can't, I would contact whoever admins the server for assistance troubleshooting.
When on EDGE, and not using VPN, cwmx.com is a possible solution. However, the VPN will interfere with using cwmx.com to send. cwmx.com will accept your email if you are connected to EDGE. However, with VPN you connection is redirected to work, and then the internet. This means that cwmx.com will see it as though you were not on the EDGE network.

The topic heading says it all!
Since this lunchtime, I have been unable to make calls, send text messages or access the internet (unless it is on wi-fi).
I have restored the iPhone setting and am unsure what to do next. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

When you restored the iPhone, did you set it up as a new phone? If not, prior to trying another restore, you might want to try resetting the network settings.
To reset network settings, navigate to Settings > General > Reset.

On your iPhone, what does your signal strength display? Do you have an "E" icon or "3G" icon at the top? Have you contacted AT&T to see if there are any current outages in your area, or to troubleshoot your wireless account?

Hi everyone,
Got a problem with my iPhone, I've searched and can't find anyone with a similar problem. I click the SMS button and it acts like it's going to open the messages but then it never opens. Whenever someone sends me a text message, it does not open. Everything else works perfectly that I am aware of except for text messaging. I had the latest software that I updated a while back.
Any idea how I should fix it? I have reset it a lot and also synced it.

Can't open or send text messages. Need help please.

My sprint 700p will not let me access my messages. I can open the messaging app. but if i try to open the message the phone resets itself. I tried to see if i could recieve a text but when I get a incoming text the phone resets itself again. I've tried hard and soft resets still the same. Right now I'm willing to try anything reasonable to restore my texting capablities.

Whenever you preform the hard reset do you restore your data back to the device?
Try hard resetting your device and then see if the messaging application resets when someone sends you a message if it doesn't then it is the messaging application that has become corrupted.
The best method of getting rid of this problem is to locate your backup folder and remove it.
The folder is located in C:/program files/palm/[username]
The username folder is going to be a variation of your hotsync ID. (You can find this in Palm desktop and the hotsync application of your device)
Inside that folder is a folder that says backup..rename this to backup.old once it is renamed then hotsync your other data back to the device.
