I can download but can't open the download and/or install. Why?

The download window indicates that the file or page or installation has loaded but it won't show the file at the top of the download page so that I can go ahead and open it. What can I do?

The D610 didn't get out-of-the-box RAW support until Photoshop CC.
You can either upgrade to CC or use the DNG Converter to convert and open your DNGs in CS5.

But, frankly, I don't think that simply reinstalling the old Safari will work because of all the peripheral, under the hood changes that happen when you upgrade from one version of Safari to another. Reinstalling 5.1.10 may be insufficient to turn back the clock. (This is the moment where a Time Machine or another form of full backup would save your bacon.)
While you're getting a copy of Safari 5.1.10, get a copy of Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/), too, so that you have an alternate browser to use as you're sorting matters.

Prolems started after uploading the Lion in March. Now at least Windows 7 users can´t open any pdfs or jpegs that I have included into sent e-mails. They can see that they are included but can´t open them. What can I do?

It's a bug in Outlook. Each version of Outlook has its own unique bug that prevents it form displaying email that didn't come from another Outlook user. Apple has attempted to dumb-down Mail and make it more complex in order to work around these issues, but Microsoft keeps changing the bugs in each version of Outlook instead of making an Internet Email standard compliant email client.
Are they able to right-click on the image and save it from the contextual menu?
Otherwise, make sure Send windows friendly, attachments at end of message are checked and send plain text.
Or, zip the attachments and send that way.
There is also a program called Attachment Tamer that many people have found useful.

I am receiving a "Problem loading page (The connection was reset)" error when I open certain websites. Sometimes I can only open the homepage and not the log in section for a website, othertimes the other way around.

Amongst other things, I've updated all Firewalls to grant Mozilla access, rebooted the computer, checked your FAQs but I am now running Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security (not the original Trend Micro, which your FAQ is out-of-date for anyways) and you don't have any advice in regards to that program. I receive the same error page when I try to update any of the Plugins which are indicated as requiring an update in Firefox's Plugin Check & Updates page.

Re: my security software: I use Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials (also Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, if that helps).
I've now tried the above link's instructions for configuring Windows Firewall to allow Firefox access. It may have helped slightly with the error (which seems to be happening a bit less often); however, the primitive-looking-web-page problem is if anything worse, pages are INCREDIBLY slow to load, and the error remains frequent (can't tell if this possible respite is just temporary, or even mere wishful thinking on my part). In any case, though, my original problem hasn't been solved yet.

My phone's screen is smashed, I can't open the passcode and my wifi is turned off. Is there any way I can back up my iCloud still?

I took a bunch of photos over the weekend before my phone got crushed. My iCloud hasn't backed up anything since before the weekend. My phone still turns on and charges, but the screen is completely smashed out so I can't enter my passcode to upload anything to itunes. My wifi connection is turned off as well. Is there any way that I can get the photos backed up to the iCloud before I restore everything onto my new phone?

There must be something amiss here. Your Camera Roll would only have everything up to the last backup, but Photo Stream should be current. From the iCloud Troubleshooting Support article:
Photos and videos in your Camera Roll are included in your iCloud backup and will download to your iOS device during the restore process.
Photos in your Photo Stream are already stored in iCloud, so they are not part of your backup. iCloud stores the photos uploaded to My Photo Stream for 30 days. To keep the photos in your photo streams on your device and make them part of your backups, save these photos to your Camera Roll or another album.
To view My Photo Stream or a shared photo stream, make sure the photo stream features are turned on in Settings > Photos & Camera.
To recover photos that originally synced to your device from your computer, sync your device using iTunes on a computer.
To restore Camera Roll photos to an iPhone or iPod touch, the iCloud backup must be from an iPhone or iPod touch. To restore Camera Roll photos to an iPad, the iCloud backup must be from an iPad.
Your device needs to be connected to Wifi to get the entire Photo Stream pushed back to it, and it can take some time. But there is no reason why those later photos should not be in your Photo Stream, if you were signed onto the same iCloud account when you were taking those photos, and if you had Photo Stream turned on....

I downloaded Muse after logging into the CC account. But when I open the app and enter the password, it does not accept it :-(. I would assume SSO works!

I'm unable to access Muse. I downloaded the app via CC but my password is not accepted. Strange! I would assume signing into Creative Cloud would get me access to the apps as well!

When I'm using my Macbook it sometimes go up to 60 - 65 C when i'm just browsing and have nothing else open.......
Just check on our activity monitor once in a while when it reaches 80 C and hit quit process on the offending app.
Also check your login items - maybe something is running when your startup your Macbook.....If you see something there and have no need for it to start up, you can safely delete it...
