I can get windows for mac to run on a guest account

I have moved the files to applications and they show up in the dock but won't open and need to be forced to close, any ideas please?

There should be no problem installing it on a second machine.

I have a new iMac and am new to Apple after 30+ years with PC-based hardware & software. First of all, and not to offend, but anyone who says Mac computers are easier to use than Windows computers must be talking about people who just came out of the jungle and are seeing their first computer. How can a LabVIEW application be run from the guest account in Windows 7?

I want to make some of my labVIEW applications (no DAQ or external hardware involved) available to temporary visitors in the lab. A natural choice would be the guest account of Windows 7, but if I try to run LabVIEW or any of my built LabVIEW applications, I get the following error dialog.
I am sure this can probably be fixed with a few permission settings. What is the easiest way to allow running these applications from the guest account?

Using windows for mac

I am new to computing. My Mac is intel based with OS 10.7.5. I read on one of the communities that if I use boot camp
to download windows 7 it would open up my mac for PC viruses.
If I get windows for mac from the app store, will I be suseptible to PC viruses

Boot Camp installs Windows on a separate partition from OS X. When you boot Windows OS X is not running, so any malware from Windows cannot affect OS X.
Windows must be purchased separately as there is not 'windows for Mac.' There is Windows only.
Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
   1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows
         XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. For Boot Camp
         4.0 and above you can only use Windows 7 or later. Follow
         instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on
         installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and
         installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the
         computer into OS X or Windows.
     2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business,
         Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software
         virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently
         with OS X.

     4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows
         applications without having to install Windows. The
         Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
     5. VirtualBox is an Open Source freeware virtual machine such
         as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.
         It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM
         Fusion.
Note that VirtualBox, Parallels, and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. You can either use Office for Mac 2011 or use Boot Camp to run Windows or use a VM, such as Parallels Desktop to run Windows. Running Windows, you'd be able to use MS Office for Windows.

Windows for Mac hangs frequently, how can I stop this?

I have Windows for Mac 98, and lately I have been using that a lot to type some papers, usually for seven hours a day for long stretches. What has happened is that at least once a day, the Windows program suddenly freezes without any warning, and the beachball starts spinning. I can't do anything to stop this from happening. I usually wait a few minutes and then go to Force-Quit and shut it down (the message in Force-Quit is that Word is not responding). I can usually recover some of the work when I go to Microsoft (Auto) Recovered Documents but usually I have lost a lot of the work I have done.
After this happening regularly, I started to save the work frequently, and hoped that if it crashed again, I could at least save all the work I had done. However, despite doing this, the recovered file had not saved the work until the most recent save, which I thought was strange.
As my work involves frequent typing in Word documents, this is a big worry.
I type .doc and .docx documents using Windows but from my recall (but I am not sure about this), both types of documents are involved in this problem.
How does this problem arise? Does it have to do with the memory? The Windows is using up too much memory perhaps? Would it be the same with Pages? I don't recall this ever happening with Pages but I suppose I haven't typed really long documents in Pages yet.
My computer is MBA version 3.2. I usually have other programs running at the same time: two browser windows, Pages, iTunes, vlc, Skype, and a program for using wifi with a USB stick. I should close as many programs as I can, I suppose while I am working in Windows, I suppose. Anything else I can do?
Saving frequently helps but not as much as I thought it would.
Does it have to do with my using .doc documents in this Windows program which is a .docx program? Should I install the older Windows for Mac program on the computer? Can I run the two versions of Windows for Mac simultaneously on my computer?

A virtual machine is a program, see my above post, that lets you install Windows in a virtual environment on your computer. You can not run Windows from iCloud or any other cloud.
As for cost, you have to by the virtual machine (about $60). You also have to buy Windows (about $99). Or you could use Boot Camp Assitant to install Windows. Boot Camp Assistant is included with OSx. Windows will still cost about $99.

Open your Displays system preferences. Is there an Arrangement tab and does it show two screens? If no Arrangement tab then your mac does not know it has two screens. Some games work fine in Virtualbox, which itself would save money since there is less risk of losing data than installing Boot Camp. Regardless before you install anything backing up is essential. What is it you need - Windows installer disc or something else? Your question is unclear. Could you be more specific?

My boss bought me Parallels Windows for Mac.
Why would I want to use that?
Would it harm my Mac?
Would my Mac be suseptive to viruses with that?

He said in case I wanted to run something that would require windows.
I do not like Windows, I use it at work because I do not have a choice.
Whatever document or anything that anyone sends me that my iMac will not open I just delete.
He also bought me Acronis True Image for Mac, for Backups, but what he does not know is that I purchased a
WD My Passport for Mac 2TB and that is how I back up my Mac once a month.

Outlook is an email client and that does not indicate if your email is POP or IMAP. If you have an IMAP email account, all of your emails actions will automatically sync across your devices. If you have POP, it does not work that way.
If you are asking if you can transfer the current emails on the Mac onto the iPad, no you cannot, unless the email is an IMAP account and they can download onto the iPad again from the server.
