I can hardly see my MBP screen in outdoor daylight.

I would like to use my MacBook Pro outdoors but the screen is barely visible or has too much glare to see it in normal daylight. Does anyone know of a way to do this? My iPad and Kindle both show up very well in daylight - why not my MBP?

Please describe in detail all you have attempted to do in order to resolve the issue.  Have you played around with the brightness & dim keys (F1 & F2)?  Check your display settings?
