Hi
I can not remember my security questions and no longer have access to the email account that i used for my rescue email.
I have a new ipad and can not buy anything on the app store until i can resolve this.On your computer or safari on your iOS device navigate to:
For Canada - https://appleid.apple.com/ca.
For United States - https://appleid.apple.com/us/.
Click the "Manage your Apple ID" button, and sign in to your iCloud account. Once in, on the left side select "Password and Security", and this will populate our options on the right side. You should see an option to reset your security questions.
Also see this article - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312.
If for any reason you can not reset these security questions, or get an error, then you may need to contact Apple directly at 1 800 692 7753. Explain the issue, and they can get your to a "Account Security" agent, who will be able to verify your identity, and assist in resetting the security questions. -

Hey lesleybean2014,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I gather, there’s an issue with specific 3rd-party apps not responding on your iPad Air. The article below provides troubleshooting suggestions that’ll resolve most issues related to apps not behaving as expected on iOS devices.

I changed my Apple password and I get the information back at the wrong email address. My email address is right under my Apple ID. How do I get this corrected?

Okay so I associate the e-mail address as the apple ID and that seems to be a wrong assumption. I did go to my Apple ID and changes the e-mail address and the password but for the same and only Apple account I have ...
That is good. In that case, your one and only account has not changed, just the login credentials you use for it. All your previous purchases will remain associated with that account, and the new login.
In essence, an AppleID is an email, but it has two parts. One is the login email address and password everyone traditionally thinks of as an AppleID. But that in turn is linked to an account with Apple. As long as you use the manage Apple ID portal to just change the email address and/or password for your exisiting AppleID, then the internal account tracks along with those changes as well.
However, on your iOS devices, you will need to log out and then log back in with the new login credentials:
settings -> iTunes & App Stores - tap your AppleID, and choose log out. Then log back in with the new email address and new password. -

Itunes does not accept my password anymore since upgrading phone. They give me my very old email address. I retrieved that account and changed password accordingly. Apple said it was changed correctly, but itunes will not accept it.Please help
They give me my very old email address.
How old it is does not matter IF thats what Apple have as your user ID and if Apple have advised you its OK and it is not... then you need to deal with support where ID information is causing problems. -
Reset my AppleID password, but the iTunes Store doesn't recognize it.
I reset my AppleID password, and it works fine to purchase apps directly from my iPhone. iTunes, however, will not let me log into the iTunes Store using the password; the dialog box to enter your username / password just keeps coming up.
I've tried quitting and relaunching iTunes, and restarting the computer (MacBook Pro 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, OSX 10.9.3).
Any ideas how to get iTunes to recognize my AppleID password?Hello Brian,
Based on your post, it seems you cannot connect to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID. I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning iTunes Store issues:

I have forgotten my appleID password and the email it is linked to is deactivated, security questions aren't working. This is on my iPhone and iTunes acs so I can't sync with my new computer. How do I merge AppleID accounts and shut down the old one (when I have no password and the security questions aren't working?)
You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working. -

email was hijacked and spam/virus link sent out to all of my contacts on wed at 4:21AM..... with the Subject as Rep: My Name or My email address and a link to a web page discussing making money working at home. Could not get into any of my mail, on the web or on Mail on my mac. After a phone call to automated support through Yahoo through ATT, I was given a temporary password and was able to reset my Yahoo password and get email on the internet. I still cannot open my Mail Account on either my iMac or MacBook Pro. I cannot get into Mail, period. My sign in keeps popping up and it keeps telling me that my user name or password is incorrect. I tried my old password, the temporary password and the new password. Nothing is working, I cannot receive or send anything in Mail. Mail is Frozen. If I want my email, I must go to the web and sign into Yahoo Mail.
Help! When you were entering your new password in mac mail for your Yahoo account, you didn't perchance change the user name from [email protected] to just name without the @att.net? I only ask because I've done that, and att.yahoo mail requires a fully qualified [email protected] for access.
In mail, you might click on window on the menu bar, then connection doctor. On the account with the red dot next to it, it will tell you why it can't connect, and if you click on it, you'll be taken to where you can fix it. -
I just reset my apple ID password and now all the imap folders in Apple Mail are greyed out. I can see the contents, but I don't get whay the folders are all greyed out. Can anyone help? Sorry for the long title on this message...
Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode
iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
iOS- Understanding passcodes
A Complete Guide to Recover Your iDevice if You Forget Your Passcode
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
necessary to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
you see "iPhone is activated."
9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information. -

I reset my exchange password and now I am getting an error message saying the password is incorrect on my ipad. I can't cancel the message to get to settings to change it.
Try pressing the sleep and home buttons both together for about 5 seconds and reboot the device. Once the iPad reboots you should be able to go into the mail settings for that account and update the credentials.
